I think we're all glad you did.:D

I believe in Magic too!!

Dh always fusses about using his vacation time up, so I try to plan our trips around vacations and holidays and limit his vacation days to 5 or 6. This year we stayed 10 nights this way. Next year I want to stay 14 nights, and when I ran it past him thinking he would protest, he didnt say a word!! He's even considering doing the cruise or VB for a couple of days.

I think walking from BCV to ESPN to watch the NBA finals (3 times) really impressed him!

Now if I could only get my MIL to go!

Y'know, I can go all day on a post like that.

Hi,

My thoughts exactly!!!::yes:: I'm glad you all had a wonderful time!!!

Our entire family (besides my brother) has NEVER been to Disney.

We are bringing most of them next July (24 of them, anyway)

I really hope that they all "get it"!!!!

 :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

jennymouse and Ms WDW those are wonderful stories, and I salute you both for giving your special people a chance. You just didn't throw in the towel, and now look at the wonderful memories you have.

So much MAGIC!

great post
WDW can definitely brighten anyone's day

great post, it truly is a great place
WDW can definitely brighten anyone's day:D

Thanks!

I love to read stories like this. I think of them as being "Chicken Soup for the DVC Member's Soul!"

We may be back to "reality" but the Magic is still alive!! What amazes me is, here is a man who wouldn't even talk about WDW when I would try and bring up the subject!! I use to get so frustrated and angry. NOW...whenever a commercial for WDW, Orlando, Universal or any part of Florida comes on the TV he has something to say!!! And it's a positive comment!!!::yes::

Ok....are you all sitting down???

He was looking at real estate in the Orlando area lastnight!! Yep.....He "thinks" that Orlando would be a good place to retire and.......

GET A LITTLE JOB IN WDW!!!!!

Do you think I'm a happy person????

:jumping1:

The not being joined at the hip part of a family trip took me a few trips to get across. Now that we have done it a couple of times my DH who also made his last trip a few trips ago keeps saying if we want to do something we just say so and if anyone else wants to come fine and if we don't want to do what they are doing - fine. I think it was the trip with our then 16 yo DS that made him realize he wan't responsible for "making everyone happy" by trying to do everything with everybody. We did the boat and bike plan together and DS did DQ alone a lot so we got time alone also. Everyone had a wonderful trip. We have gone with 4-9 people in the group so separate outings can be good. The first time we went alone was 1997 and we came home the proud owners of 200 points at OKW. It was the trips this year that brought the magic back for him- after all this the next one will be his 3rd this year - we even had a short one in April this year (the 2nd one - just the two of us). People say don't you get tired of going to the same place? My answer is always -"no because there is so much to see and do it is never the same". Yesterday after a dump trip he explained that we have to get rid of a lot of stuff before we move to Florida in a few years (retirement here we come) and has several times mentioned a part time job at WDW. Wonder if DVC owners have that dream more than other peoiple who go to WDW?

Just wanted to say, before we joined DVC, DH's only response was "whatever you want to do is fine"-he didn't even care enough to go on the tour with me. WDW-he just tolerated it-sometimes. Just like your DH, the "magic" has hit him too. A few weeks ago, I was painting and he announced that I had a hidden Mickey on my painting pants. So all you with anti-WDW spouses, you never know when that magic may hit! My biggest laugh though is that although he wears his DVC jacket proudly, he can't remember the whole phrase on it-"members are-what's that word?" Oh, well-he'll get it, eventually.

Great story!! Thanks for sharing. For those considering DVC, it shows how actually staying at a DVC resort might give them a whole new perspective on a trip to WDW. :)

MrsWDW can confirm, but I believe it's a standard view 1 bedroom located in one of the "turrets".

I just replied to the PM sent - It's a 1BR and it's a Standard View.

I do have to tell you however, it's a very long walk to the elevators. So if being close to the elevators is a priority then this room isn't for you.

It is a great room...... ::yes::

That is so great! I had a similar experience with my DH. We went in 2000 with my family(mom, dad, sister, brother in law and our two sons). His first trip with them and it was a disaster(to put it mildly). DH said that he would never go back. DH and I went in January of this year and what a turn around!! He just loved everything. On our last day we went to look at DVC and bought it!! Now he's talking about taking my family next October. It's unbelievable what a little pixie dust can do.

What a great thread!
Ms.WDW I can just tell you are still "beaming" from this trip! :teeth: Thanks for sharing and thanks to everone that shared their WDW "magic" stories.

Boston1029 - Contratulations!!! You'll love the DVC. Where did you buy?

I'll tell you. I'm still "beaming" just thinking about the great week we had. And just knowing that DH now feels the same way as I do about WDW and the Boardwalk, really and truely makes me happy.

Anyway, again congratulations and let me be one of the first, if not the first, to say "Welcome Home".
