For those trying to get the Fall Discount on their room, I called yesterday and was told there was nothing available at BC. We have a Pool/Lagoon Room booked RO. I called twice yesterday and same answer.
I checked the website this morning and Garden and Pool/Lagoon are showing available, so I called this morning and was able to get the discount added

Scott congrats on welcoming Sheldon into your home. I haven't been over to look at pictures yet. I love cats.

Flying to big island this afternoon. Tomorrow (Friday) is an all day tour. Helicopter flight over volcanoes then land based tour of volcano national park then helicopter back over the island for sightseeing.

We get back from that around 6 or 7 pm then our flight home leaves at 11 pm. We expect to be home around 7 pm Saturday EST.

Thanks for the poster about letting me know that non-dairy milk is not available at the Marketplace, that's disappointing but we will just make an off site grocery visit during the trip if need be.

With the new fall rates I was able to switch from POFQ to Beach club !!! We have stayed at Yacht Club before and I fifured this way we could mark another resort off the list of where we have stayed. Haven't told wife yet, she still thinks we're staying POFQ !!!

Ok friends...2 questions for y'all.

Our dear friend Mary has decided to join us on our trip and just booked herself a Magical SV room at YC!

1. View time. She doesn't want to be on the first floor, and she doesn't want to look at generators, loading docks, etc. Front entrance is fine, parking lot and trees is fine. I'm thinking based on a map, that maybe her room request is, "Upper floor please, as far from lobby as possible."
Thoughts?

2. Here's what makes me nervous. We've obviously booked a bunch of FP+. Is there any way to add her to those, or is she on her own to look around and possibly find times that sync with ours?

Great to hear! I'm trying to do the same. I am at BC 11.5-11.11 and nothing is showing up. Between Food/Wine and the Half Marathon I'm guessing no rooms will open up. Still trying each day though online just in case. YC opened up a few rooms over the weekend before the sale, so had to pay full price for my parents so they can use the pools with us.

I don't know much about the room request but I think I could help you with FP+. I just had a couple of family members join us at the last minute and I had to toy around with FP+ bookings. What you could do is join her on your DME app as family and friends and and copy your FP+. Then the computer looks for an open spot close to yours as possible. If it does not have, it suggest something else but as long as there is open spot, the computer will try to overlap so you could go on rides at the same time. For example, SDMT wasn't available at all on our MK day, so the computer asked me to select something else for those two family members. However, Thunder and Splash was available. Our FP+ time was 10:00~11:00 and 11:00~12:00 and the other two was 10:15~11:15 and 11:15~12:15.

Hopefully, this helps you a bit.

Hi, DH & I are going to take an adults only trip (we've never left dds before). Today we booked YC standard room for 4 nights. We leave in 21 days!! I booked dinner one night at Cali grill & we also booked wild africa trek. Any suggestions for fun & romantic things to do around the YC area? Thanks!!

I just made a resort change. For our September 23~28, we will be staying at Dolphin instead of YC. I would sure miss YC but the rate at Dolphin will be saving +600 for those 5 nights (even with $23 resort fee). Thank goodness that we are staying at YC next month so I'll make sure to have my fill of Stormalong Bay.

Congrats! I find the DDP is overkill with CL so you'll be fine. You have breakfast in CL, then what we've done is have a late lunch either TS or CS, then enjoy the Appies in the lounge in the evening. There was more then enough to fill us up. We thought if we were still feeling hungry we could always go downstairs to grab something, but we never needed to. So we were fine without DDP.
Even when we don't stay CL, we don't get DDP much. I find for us it's too much food. And with price increases it's not a deal anymore. I pre load a gift card with what I would pay for DDP, and always have $ left on it.

I agree with this about the CL and DDP. I really think you will be amazed at how much food and drinks are available CL. You will totally be fine. You will get spoiled by the convenience!

We usually do DDP, more for just sheer convenience and the ease, but I doubt it is a savings of any kind. I really like the idea of putting the equivalent of the DDP on the gift card. I may just try that this time!

We're here at the GF ..our last night. The dining plan plus club level is way too much food!!!! Never again with both!! Saturday wellness take Lily to animal kingdom and then its work for me Sunday and Monday. Tuesday is Typhoon Lagoon and they leave Wednesday. What a super time we have had and Nettie's party was the highlight ..except for Captain Jack .. We finally found a Disney character she is not fond of!!

Has anyone ordered room service for breakfast recently? Last time we ordered (a couple of years ago), it was rather uninspired. I'm wondering if it has improved. I'm particularly interested in the platter for 4 guests.

Also, can someone going soon take a new picture of the room service menu? I see the first post has some pics, but they are from 2011, and I'm having a hard time reading it (did I mention that after I turned 40 my eyesight has really gotten worse ).

Well.. Take us off the list for December as we booked with a discount at BWI CL instead. We hope to try BC in Late Feb 2015.
