Less than 48 hours until we check in at YC! :cool1::cool1:

I saw a request for new pics of the room service menus and I will try to get those. Any other requests for pics or info?

Teena-- loved hearing about your time with your family! We took our 4 year old step-granddaughter in June and had fun seeing WDW thru her eyes. I wish I could figure out a way to bring you some of our fresh Ohio sweet corn! (we grow our own)

Dee-- safe travels!

Definitely would appreciate pictures of the "all day in room dining" menus. For some reason, another site doesn't have this menu link for BC/YC but it does have the menu for other Deluxes.

Thank you....Have a great trip! :)

I hope you have a great time on your cruise. :boat: We will be checking out of the YC on Sunday, Sept 28th. Will you be back at work by then so we can drop by and say hello?

There aren't any adjoining studios at the BCV's. :(

Yep. It leaves Saturday 9/20 and returns Saturday 9/27 so I'll be in work on the 28th!

Me too ... I can taste that corn just thinking about it and Jeanne was just saying how much she misses "real" corn. The girls are here until Wednesday.

Can anyone tell me how I would go about having chocolate covered strawberries delivered to the room? Do you happen to know if they can leave them in the room if we are not there?

Yep, just order them through private dining.

Thank you! Do you happen to know if there is a menu somewhere online for these types of things available at the Yacht Club? All I seem to be finding is the regular room service menu.

Don't think so ... just call them and they can do lots of specialty stuff.

Great! Our ME will pick us up sometime around 12:30pm, so we'll be stopping in the lobby sometime that morning. You can tell us all about your cruise.

We went on a Disney cruise back when it was the Big Red Boat, about 22 years ago. That was a very low budget cruise. The special Disney island was underwater because of high seas, so we had a stop on another island instead. It wasn't private and everyone wanted to braid our hair. :faint: I think Disney cruises have improved a lot since then. The best part of the trip was that it included four nights at a WDW resort. It turned out to be the BC, and we fell in love. ;)

Does anyone have the yacht club club level concierge email address, I need to ask them to make a reservation for me at typhoon lagoon.

Thanks!

The Big Red Boat just had a contract to have Disney characters on it. It wasn't a Disney cruise. They had gambling on it ... unlike Disney Cruise Line. And the private island they own now is not that same island you went to with the Big Red Boat (we did the Big Red Boat too back when Jeanne was 5 years old). Anyway, Castaway Cay is new to Disney when Disney Cruise Line came into existence. They purchased it then and made it their own. No other cruise lines can dock there.

We're home. Unpacked. Now a little rest and wash before heading to DAK tomorrow for a short day.

Looking forward to getting back to my lobby Sunday and Monday.

And guess what ... we booked a Disney Fantasy cruise for September 20th.

See you Sunday if not before!

You going to be at Animal Kingdom tomorrow? We'll be doing the Safari sometime between 9-10, then meeting up with Mickey and Minnie at the Outpost 10-11 and then Lion King and then lunch with Donald at Tusker House at 12:30. Then home to get ready for an early night in bed so I can get up at 5 AM for work.

Our son was about 16 years old on our cruise and he loved the gambling. ;)

Ok friends...2 questions for y'all.

Our dear friend Mary has decided to join us on our trip and just booked herself a Magical SV room at YC! :cool1:

1. View time. She doesn't want to be on the first floor, and she doesn't want to look at generators, loading docks, etc. Front entrance is fine, parking lot and trees is fine. I'm thinking based on a map, that maybe her room request is, "Upper floor please, as far from lobby as possible."
Thoughts?

2. Here's what makes me nervous. We've obviously booked a bunch of FP+. Is there any way to add her to those, or is she on her own to look around and possibly find times that sync with ours?

Thanks!
Hi Scott, our YC room was over the Portico, nice room, and we enjoyed the view, good people watching with the comings and goings, and straight ahead was just trees. And was close to lobby elevator. We had the magical SV room too.
Our first room was a long walk from elevator and over service area, garbage etc :scared: so I went back to front desk and asked if there was another room.
So I wouldn't add the far from lobby request, as the rooms facing front of resort are close to lobby (elevator)

As for FPs she has to link you to her MDE acct as family/friends, once this is accomplished and you can see her plans on your MDE, you can copy your FPs to her.

We're here at the GF ..our last night. The dining plan plus club level is way too much food!!!! Never again with both!! Saturday wellness take Lily to animal kingdom and then its work for me Sunday and Monday. Tuesday is Typhoon Lagoon and they leave Wednesday. What a super time we have had and Nettie's party was the highlight ..except for Captain Jack .. We finally found a Disney character she is not fond of!!
I told you that when we had DDP & CL!!! DDP is way to much food anyway, on it's own. Ashley & I decided we like it better without DDP. But last Jan we got the free DDP pin ::yes:: was kinda hard to pass up. No DDP for August for us!! Maybe I won't come home weighing 5 lbs more!!

Twas the night before Disney and all through the house,
All the creatures were stirring even my spouse.
The luggage was packed and tucked away.
Ready for the ride and the fun on the way.

The bands were all packed and the accounts all linked.
We had a blue one, a red and and even one that was pinked.
The FastPaases have been plussed. The MDE all synched.
Nothing left to do but....Ride. Eat. And Drink!
:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Aloha--don't forget the Lava tube at the park--it is amazing. If the power is off (it happens frequently), just wait and it will be back on so that you can go through the tube. Safe travels home!
Yes! The lava tubes were cool! Also seeing the lava flows glowing at dusk.
