Lily is having her birthday party at the movie theatre at 2 PM. Most of Jeanne's class is coming. They are seeing that Dragon movie. Lily loves her movies. She is telling everybody that after her birthday party, she is going to Disney World on her airplane.

July 11th is a great day. It's my daughters birthday also.

Yay for Saturday!!! My daughter and son in law are arriving Saturday night too!! I am super excited!! Can't say my DH is because it's a surprise for him.. shhhh!!! Hoping I can keep him out until she arrives at Coney Island where we will be waiting :)

Hi, Dee!
I just wanted to confirm my dates at YC. We will be at ALK from 8/15~8/21 and move to YC 8/21~8/29. I am definitely going to drop by 8/18 morning to see Teena since it is our Epcot day. I so want to drop by to see everyone at dismeet but I also need to drive my mom to airport that night so depending on traffic and all. :headache:

Got it! I'll update the list.

:thumbsup2

Funny you should mention scooters. Yesterday's while sitting by pool at SAB an elderly gentleman accidentally drove his scooter right into the pool! As you can imagine it caused quite the scene

Wow! Just Wow!

:scared1:

Dee ... have a super super super time. We'll miss you but look forward to all the pics and reports when you return!!!!

And since Dee posts the Princess Lily pics, I'll just have to rely on my other Dis friends to pick some from Facebook that Jeanne posts daily to hopefully post here once in a while.

OOOH! OOOH! OOOH! Pick me! I'll do it!!

I'd be happy to! :cool1:

Thank so much, Teena. I know you are going to have an amazing visit with your girls. Please give them both an extra squeeze from me!

And thanks, DawnMaree!!!

Feel free to add pictures to the Princess Lily Goes Live thread (in my signature) too if you want.

:)

Hi everyone!:wave2: This is my very first post on the Disboards! I've read through this whole thread and there is some very helpful information on here as well as some fun conversations, I love it! I am starting to plan a group trip for next fall, probably end of September to the beginning of October, and I am really hoping that we will be able to rent points for the Beach Club. I have always wanted to stay at this beautiful resort. The last group trip we took we rented points at Kidani and it was fun, but I was hoping for a change this time around. Most of the group is up for the Beach Club, but there are one or two people that wanted to go back to Kidani for the Savannah view room. I have shown them pictures of the pool and told them how it is within walking distance to Epcot. They have agreed to try it, but my question is does anyone have any other information I can use as a bonus to staying at the Beach Club? Most of us want to try BC, I just don't want anyone to be disappointed. That said...I can't wait to book our stay! :yay:

:welcome: to posting on the Disboards and this thread!

You covered the two biggies for the Beach Club- Best pool on property and proximity to EPCOT. Don't forget that you are also close to Hollywood Studios- quick stroll or boat ride, and you are spitting distance for the nightlife at Boardwalk. The lobby smells incredible. Sunken Treasures (see page 2 of this thread)

Hope that helps!

:goodvibes

I am so excited to say that we just booked our first stay at Beach Club for December 3-10 this year! We loved the feel of this resort when we went to Cape May twice and Beaches and Cream once last trip. Can't wait to enjoy this new experience and also see Disney World at Christmastime for the first time! Wahoo!!!

:welcome:

I'll add you to the Be Our Guest list.

:cool1:

Wow, been away for awhile, checked out who will be around for our trip next month and I think the better question is who won't be!

We are staying in a deluxe room for the first time and after reading a bunch of posts about the rooms, I'm still not sure which ones to request so if I'm looking for some opinions please. Also what's the official disboard identifier this year? I recognized someone in the hottub last year because they mentioned they had a black eye in this forum lol, something less painful might be good.

Great question about identifiers. We should make flyswatter t-shirts or pins or something!

Here is the detailed info about the 6 Deluxe Rooms at BC, but like Teena says below, that category is often fully occupied so the room assigners don't usually have a lot of flexibility in granting requests.

There are six Deluxe Concierge Rooms at BC.

1557 has a patio and lots of windows.
2557 and 4557 have extra large balconies.
3557 has the standing room only balcony.

3691 has both a standing room balcony and a full balcony
4691 has a standing room only balcony.

So 3 of the 6 have full balconies, 1 has a patio, and 2 have standing room only balconies.

There is also a link to a Deluxe Room and Suite thread in the Club Level Post on Page 1- has some pictures of some rooms provided by past guests.

:goodvibes:

There are only six deluxe rooms at the BC and we have been running 90-100% occupancy for a long time. Therefore, the chance of you getting the one you want is slim because that one would have to be being vacated the same day as your arrival. But you have one in six chances. They are all really nice and equally far away pretty much from the main elevator and thus the lounge.

Just wondering, what do you think, BC club level, or YC club level?

When? BC club level will be undergoing rehab work in near future. No, I don't know when. Maybe October.

YC lounge is currently bigger

Not all of the BC CL rooms have full balconies.

Other than that, both have the same amenities, food/drink offerings and management staff.

:)

OMG!! Very excited!!!

In my normal fashion, I have had a million resort changes over the past year. Well, 37 days out a BC CL room opened up under the military discount and I snagged it up!!!

We had moved to the GF, and then found out that our family is growing (we are pregnant!! Total surprise!!) so we had moved to AKL, knowing that our chances of staying there as a family of five are slim....but in the end, we wanted to go where we loved (stayed YC CL last year and loved it!)

Must be fate, because the room opened up!!!! :cool1:

BC CL, here we come!!!!:yay::dance3:

:cloud9:

CONGRATULATIONS to you and your family!!! What incredible news!!!

I have you on the list for BC, August 16-26. Same dates? If so, I will just add CL.

Glad to have you back!

:goodvibes

Happy Birthday to Lily and MickeyT.

Where did the time go - it seems like we were just doing the baby pool!

Safe travels Dee.

Teena - have the best time ever with your girls.

Nettie - it's getting REALLY close!

It's a good thing that Dee never took you off the Be Our Guest list. ;)

I am officially off-duty!!! I may try to check back in here later today when I am done fine-tuning my itinerary and putting together pet and pool instructions (laminated, of course) for my neighbor.

I have handed off the Be Our Guest list to MickeyT

Post 15: Be Our Guest list

Everyone have a great couple of weeks.

Question about Cape May Cafe (not crab legs - I swear :goodvibes). We've never eaten there before.

I made an ADR last night for the day we get in. We all love seafood and I know my kids will love it. My only concern is my mom is allergic to mussels. I'm sure there are plenty of other options for her to eat. But is it just ridiculous to have someone eat at a clambake when they can't eat the clams? The known allergy is mussels, but she pretty much avoids all mollusks.

I don't eat seafood and I can come out of there stuffed. I love their roast beef and plenty of potatoes dishes and corn and mac and cheese and I personally love the desserts. They have ribs 3 times a week but they are horrible IMO. There is chicken and pizza too. Plenty of salads.

How exciting!! Congratulations! We absolutely loved our BC CL stay last summer!

Thank you - very excited!!!! :yay:

Mine is actually next week - EEEKK!!

Hey there August BC/YC people! Our family of 4, me, hubby and kids 21 and 23 have booked a premium Wishes cruise for Monday, August 25....anyone interested in sharing? It seats 10, leaving from the GF at 9:00. If we fill the boat the cost will be $35 pp plus tip. Thought I would put it out there.

Happy Birthday MickeyT and Princess Lily!!!!

Wish you were going to be there Robyn!

Darn!!! We check out of the Grand Floridian on the 25th or I'd jump on it. It's too far for us to drive back in for it. We're almost an hour away. You probably wouldn't have wanted a little 3 year old anyway.

Thanks, Teena. I was reading a few reviews and it seemed like the options were plentiful. Many of them a couple of years old, so I though I'd ask here. I considered the Captain's Grille, but I think my kids will prefer the atmosphere at CMC.

WDW4us2006, we're checking out the 24th or I would have taken you up on the offer in a heartbeat. We took an Illuminations cruise a few years back and it was fantastic.

Welcome to the board. I am sure peeps on here are going to pop in and offer you some great convincing ideas. I absolutely love the location of the BC for so many reasons....the boardwalk, HS, walking to epcot.

Thank you both for the suggestions! I think once they are actually there they will love it. Our first day there on our last trip we did the character breakfast at Cape May and everyone loved it. One more question, can you see fireworks from anywhere at BC? This may have been answered already and I apologize if it has, but I'm curious because that would be a big bonus for most of the group. TIA!

The Sunken Treasure looks delicious! I think we may have to try making a couple of those this weekend ::yes::

We can't book for months, but I am already so excited!:woohoo:

The higher EPCOT fireworks can be viewed from the bridge that spans between the EPCOT end of the Beach Club and the BoardWalk. It's a popular spot to hang out and watch part of the show. Because of trees, the lower pyrotechnics will not be visible.

For anyone at the BC through 09/01/2014, the Frozen fireworks at HS can be seen from the Crescent Lake side of the resort, offering pretty good views of the fireworks.

There's nothing like seeing the full show, but these alternatives are not bad, if you can't be right on site at the show.

Have fun with your planning.

Thank you! This will be a definite bonus, especially for the kids. We will see Illuminations while in Epcot one of the nights we are there, but it is nice to know you can see them outside of the park too :)

My friend and I have been planning this trip since the day we got back from the last trip :rotfl: Planning is so much fun! Plus, she is excited to go back, because she ran the Goofy during our last trip and ended up getting sick. So, she wants to be able to actually enjoy the trip with family this time around.

Thanks again for the help!

Thank you - I was wondering about the Frozen fireworks. We weren't planning to go to DHS at all this trip. We do have hopper passes, so we could always head over to see them at night. But if we don't have to, I'm happy with that, as well.
