Funny you should mention scooters. Yesterday's while sitting by pool at SAB an elderly gentleman accidentally drove his scooter right into the pool! As you can imagine it caused quite the scene

Having stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, I totally concur about the pool. NOTHING compares to SAB.

...but I do kinda like WL for the theme.

When my Uncle Schnozz died I inherited his stash of nose plugs.

It was all I got out of his estate so I treasure them accordingly. It was with much difficulty that I came to the decision to share the wealth with the members of the Synchronized Pool Tube Team. I now am proud to say that you shall make a fine manager and I feel safe entrusting you with the entire balance of my inheritance from Uncle Schnozz!

At this point I feel it's best to nip the rumor mill in the bud, especially in light of that ridiculous, "no more crab legs" rumor and just come out with the truth..... I MAY have had something to do with that.

I spotted this gentleman roving around the pool sporting one of those nose plugs. Since he was already half way in uniform, missing only the lime green mankini (Lime Green for the Dis Boards ), I sauntered over to him and yelled in his ear that try outs for the Synchronized Pool Tube Team were about to begin. In his haste to get to the starting line he may have been a little overzealous, resulting in that dramatic entrance. Don't worry though because with that display of showmanship he certainly made the team!

Hoping for a BC/YC stay this time. We had been doing POFQ but since they stopped allowing you to walk to the start from there, I'd rather stay at BC or YC!

I figured 10-1 would be a good time, was just wanting to help alleviate DH anxieties. lol

I just signed up for the Princess Half today as well... This is my first runDisney race. Very nervous and excited.

How did you sign up? I saw on the website the registration is open next Tuesday, July 15th. I confused.

In your experiences, how likely is it they can honor connecting room requests? We are booked at a 2 bedroom suite at BWI for February but just had one person drop. So now I'm thinking, one bedroom suite at BC/YC or connecting rooms? Thanks!!!

Hi all. I am more of a constant lurker than a regular poster of this awesome community and love the info and fun you all have here. So here goes. My whole family (large gathering) is staying at the Yacht Club the week of August 18th to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday and unfortunately, my brother will be arriving at the Yacht Club the prior Friday (August 15th) afternoon, a few days before my cousin (military family) arrives mid-day Monday (August 18th). He has a flight home early Thursday morning so he will only get to use the 4 day promotional military ticket for 2 1/2 days as they wont be arriving until Monday to show ID to have it validated for him. They offered him one of their six military tickets for helping out and because he is inundated with student loans. lol. Would it be possible for anyone with military ID to possibly meet him at the guest relations counter at the International Gateway entrance of Epcot (I assume that would be the closest place to do it) Friday afternoon, anytime Saturday or even Sunday morning to validate the military ticket he has so he gets to use more than 2 1/2 days of the 4 day pass? Most of our family (non-military) will be arriving over the weekend and that would then give him the ability to go into the parks with them on Sunday and rope drop MOnday too, as opposed to waiting until Monday afternoon. Again it wouldn't be a problem if he could finish the 4 day pass but he can't as he has to leave early Thursday morning. Anyway, I just know from following this forum for a few years (we stayed at the YC last August too) what a close knit community ya'll are and how many people are on the BOG list for our time period in August. I promise this is not creepy or illegal whatsoever and that my brother would have ID on him that states he is an attorney and works for the State of New Jersey. We have tried contacting Disney Guest Relations hoping he could bring a copy of my cousin's military credential and an affidavit stating his pass could be validated but we were unsuccessful. So, not the worst thing in the world if it doesn't work, just hoping someone could help us out. Thanks.

My middle daughter once asked me if the world was in color when I was her age. I told her yes. Her grandma even had color way back then.

We hadn't planned to spend any time at DHS this trip, but I think we'll have to at least head over for the fireworks one night. I know the boat can take longer than walking, but is it a nice relaxing ride? I love the boat transportation at Disney.

The one bedroom suites at the BC only have a king bed and a daybed so it only sleeps 3. Is that okay?

Hi everyone! This is my very first post on the Disboards! I've read through this whole thread and there is some very helpful information on here as well as some fun conversations, I love it! I am starting to plan a group trip for next fall, probably end of September to the beginning of October, and I am really hoping that we will be able to rent points for the Beach Club. I have always wanted to stay at this beautiful resort. The last group trip we took we rented points at Kidani and it was fun, but I was hoping for a change this time around. Most of the group is up for the Beach Club, but there are one or two people that wanted to go back to Kidani for the Savannah view room. I have shown them pictures of the pool and told them how it is within walking distance to Epcot. They have agreed to try it, but my question is does anyone have any other information I can use as a bonus to staying at the Beach Club? Most of us want to try BC, I just don't want anyone to be disappointed. That said...I can't wait to book our stay!

I am so excited to say that we just booked our first stay at Beach Club for December 3-10 this year! We loved the feel of this resort when we went to Cape May twice and Beaches and Cream once last trip. Can't wait to enjoy this new experience and also see Disney World at Christmastime for the first time! Wahoo!!!

It is a very magical place to be during the holidays. We just booked our Candlelight Processional package. Bob is so excited to see Sharon Stone!
