The one bedroom suites at the BC only have a king bed and a daybed so it only sleeps 3. Is that okay?

Is the daybed in the bedroom? Is there a sleeper sofa in the den Teena?

Hi everyone! This is my very first post on the Disboards! I've read through this whole thread and there is some very helpful information on here as well as some fun conversations, I love it! I am starting to plan a group trip for next fall, probably end of September to the beginning of October, and I am really hoping that we will be able to rent points for the Beach Club. I have always wanted to stay at this beautiful resort. The last group trip we took we rented points at Kidani and it was fun, but I was hoping for a change this time around. Most of the group is up for the Beach Club, but there are one or two people that wanted to go back to Kidani for the Savannah view room. I have shown them pictures of the pool and told them how it is within walking distance to Epcot. They have agreed to try it, but my question is does anyone have any other information I can use as a bonus to staying at the Beach Club? Most of us want to try BC, I just don't want anyone to be disappointed. That said...I can't wait to book our stay!

Welcome to the board. I am sure peeps on here are going to pop in and offer you some great convincing ideas. I absolutely love the location of the BC for so many reasons....the boardwalk, HS, walking to epcot.

I am so excited to say that we just booked our first stay at Beach Club for December 3-10 this year! We loved the feel of this resort when we went to Cape May twice and Beaches and Cream once last trip. Can't wait to enjoy this new experience and also see Disney World at Christmastime for the first time! Wahoo!!!

Wow, been away for awhile, checked out who will be around for our trip next month and I think the better question is who won't be!

We are staying in a deluxe room for the first time and after reading a bunch of posts about the rooms, I'm still not sure which ones to request so if I'm looking for some opinions please. Also what's the official disboard identifier this year? I recognized someone in the hottub last year because they mentioned they had a black eye in this forum lol, something less painful might be good.

We stayed in the deluxe room on the 1st floor by the quiet pool - 1557 I think.

We loved it - peaceful and loved just being able to walk out to the quiet pool or the laundry room.

If you look on the first page of the thread under Dis Meets you should be able to recognize quite a few of us - me, YCFAN, Flat Dee etc.

The daybed is in the den in the one bedroom suite.

There are only six deluxe rooms at the BC and we have been running 90-100% occupancy for a long time. Therefore, the chance of you getting the one you want is slim because that one would have to be being vacated the same day as your arrival. But you have one in six chances. They are all really nice and equally far away pretty much from the main elevator and thus the lounge.

Food, etc. is pretty much the same. They have someone serving you drinks at the YC. Menus same at both places.

OMG!! Very excited!!!

In my normal fashion, I have had a million resort changes over the past year. Well, 37 days out a BC CL room opened up under the military discount and I snagged it up!!!

We had moved to the GF, and then found out that our family is growing (we are pregnant!! Total surprise!!) so we had moved to AKL, knowing that our chances of staying there as a family of five are slim....but in the end, we wanted to go where we loved (stayed YC CL last year and loved it!)

Must be fate, because the room opened up!!!!

BC CL, here we come!!!!

Lily is having her birthday party at the movie theatre at 2 PM. Most of Jeanne's class is coming. They are seeing that Dragon movie. Lily loves her movies. She is telling everybody that after her birthday party, she is going to Disney World on her airplane.

Oh! And I'm not sure if it's been discussed over here, but the whole crab leg thing at CMC.....ugly rumor, yes???

Looks like Teena indicated they are still there? Just want to be sure.

As of today, they are still there. It's not a rumor. Somehow, on the Disney website, a different Cape May menu has appeared. However, when the managers and the chefs were asked about it last night and this morning, they said the menu has not changed ... crabs legs are there.

Then guests were calling and emailing Disney and of course Disney CMs were checking by looking on our website (for employees) as well as the Disney website and sure enough, it is a different menu (no crabs). So they are answering all inquiries and saying no crab legs because when they go to their source, it says no crab legs.

At this point, my recommendation is to not believe anything unless it comes directly from the Cape May itself or someone at the Beach Club. Anybody else at Disney is just looking on the computer and it says the crab legs are gone.

Ok,thanks! I'll just assume they are there for now.

I'll check with the restaurant when I get there and I can just cancel if there are no more crab legs....it isn't scheduled until our 8th day.

She is so funny. Whenever she sees an airplane in the sky, she points at it and says "plane going to Disney World". In her head, every plane goes or comes from Disney World.
