Did anyone see The Middle last week when they went to WDW? We watched it as a family and everyone agreed I'm Sue when it comes to Disney planning.....binder and all!
Poor Teena! I sure hope you're feeling better soon!
Our countdown is now at 10 days!!!!!!! I have one day off work between now and then....tomorrow. Yikes! I was able to get my CM discount for our first night at POR so we will stay there instead of POP. So on this trip we are staying at all three resort categories.....moderate, deluxe and value. I was able to get a decent price ($14/day) on a full-size car from Priceline so we are renting a car. My husband is going to take two of our kids to Cocoa Beach for the day. I prefer the beach at BC.

I can't wait for the day we arrive at BC!!!!!!!!!
Have a great weekend everyone! I hope you are having beautiful weather like we are here in Chicago!
Does anyone know what is the fee that the BC charges to ship/hold a box, since it's a convention resort? I would like to send something as a surprise for the kids but I didn't see what the fee from the resort is. And does anyone know where or how I would pick it up once I check in? Thanks
We are also staying in all 3 resort categories! 1 night value, 1 night moderate & 10 nights deluxeWe are leaving in 3 days and time is moving sooooooo slow right now. Maybe we will run into each while at the Beach Club.
When we were watching the Middle and Sue kept doing the countdown my husband just looked at me and laughed. That is totally me![]()
The kids and I watched it and quickly pointed out all the mistakes! They walked towards Fantasyland when they said they were leaving to go to Epcot. Unless MK has a new back door we know that's not going to work!
Then over in France they had tables setup in front with a panoramic view, totally doesn't exist! Then when they were in Italy and said they were leaving to go to Mission Space they walked towards Via Napoli, which is a dead end.
It was pretty cool how they put them in a grand villa at the GF, but we all know the chances of that happening in real life are pretty much impossible!

There are two drink refills stations at the BC, one in the Marketplace and one at Hurricane Hannah's near the pool. If you request a room close to the elevator then you will be close to the Marketplace when you get off the elevator. The standard rooms are really bad at all. They overlook the parking lot and a wide flat roof, and are usually fairly quiet. It is not a very large resort, so nothing will be very far away.Does anyone have any input about location requests? We have 3 kids 11 and under, will be going to the pool several days, will be going to Epcot , and would like to be somewhat near a drink refill station. Any centralized location ideas? I've never been to the resort to even eat or visit before, so no real idea about size and locations of the resort.
The BC is frequently filled to capacity so there isn't really a crowded time of year. My suggestion for SAB is to settle in the kiddie area of SAB. The water is shallow there and it is easy to keep an eye on the kids if you limit them to that area. The little ones will love playing in the sand and the kid's meals at Hurricane Hannah's come is sand pails with shovels. There are usually a few abandoned pails and shovels for kid's to use, too. If it gets too chaotic at SAB then head over to the quiet pool. It is a nice pool with a lot less people in it.Any tips about navigating SAB with young kids and how crowded it might be during my timeframe?
Any tips in general about mid august: crowds, weather, how crowded resort might be, etc. . . .
THanks so much, we are SUPER excited![]()
We were at the MK on one of the filming days for the show, so we watched the episode to see how the show turned out. The castle was being painted that day and you can see the white primer on part of the castle roof in one of the scenes. We saw the actors standing around, waiting to film the scene in front of the castle. We caught the error in Epcot when they were sitting at tables that had tablecloths in front of France.Did anyone see The Middle last week when they went to WDW? Poor Teena! I hope surgery goes wel and recovery is fast. Please keep the positive thoughts and prayers for Teena coming! She is going to have surgery tomorrow and if all is well, she will be home on Tuesday. I am really sad to hear what she is going through.
I have been letting her know that everyone is thinking of her and has been passing along support.
How late is your dinner?Frequent BCers:
After our day at BB, we are going to AKL for dinner. Using WDW buses, what's the best way to get "home" (back to BC) from AKL?
TIA!
How late is your dinner?
If you plan to use buses, and if HS is still open and running bus service when you are finished with dinner, then hop the HS bus and walk or take the boat to the BC/YC.
