There goes my Christmas!

Have you thought about buying a precooked meal for Christmas dinner? We've done it before and it was very good. As long as you don't get a whole turkey, you can heat everything in the microwave or toaster oven or even on top of the stove. It's time to get creative but Christmas should still be doable.

Considering that you list your location as "somewhere over the rainbow" I think it is delivery that is causing the difficulty :goodvibes

I think I would try a different store, I know Lowes deliever a week after you buy it

The OP has indicated that she will be dining out for Thanksgiving and won't be home for Christmas.

I would strongly advise you, Mrs. Reese, to just hang in there until you get what you want. I went without a range for 3(!) years - I had no oven and only one working burner. DH could not decide on what range "we" wanted and the years passed very quickly.

I used my microwave, rice steamer and crockpot nearly every night for supper and used an electric turkey roaster for the holidays. I learned to bake in a toaster oven. It can be done, its not a big deal for a few months. I cooked like this for four people despite working full-time outside of the home.
