"There be squalls ahead" my 50th Birthday W/ Mickey PTR

so I wait til 11:30 tonight and say to Danny....want to do me a favor before you go to bed?:rolleyes1

depends on what it is

I need some of the Christmas boxes out of the attic:santa:

pirate::headache:pirate:

problem is, part of it was in the shed (man-cave) and it's raining out...but I want to work on it tomorrow and he will be gone til Wed and we have to go to Pensacola for my check up with the Dr that did my surgery...
so needless to say... the boxes are now in the dining room:santa::lmao:

we will be up late Sunday night, so I'm not 100% on what we will do Monday morning, maybe make the rounds to visit the resorts and see the Christmas decorations, if we haven't already done so...
we have an 8:20 pm ADR @ 'Ohana :woohoo: and then we are doing EMH at MK as it is now open til 3am

Tues the 21st we want to be at DHS for rope drop so we can ride Toy Story Mania (our favorite) and get a FP to ride it a second time early... Shaun and family are going to be at DHS this morning also before they make their way to DTD and Disney Quest, so we will probably hang out with them this morning... the way we do this is at rope drop Danny will hurry with the mob to the FP machines while I quickly (but not as fast as the mob) make my way to the line, at which point we meet up and get in line to ride it...this has worked well for us the past few times we have gone... also since Shaun's bunch will be here and they plan on doing Rockin Roller Coaster it will give Danny the chance to ride it too this time, as I won't go on this one again as the neon lights make me ill:sick:
we will hang out at DHS til about 1 and then go to EPCOT for a 2pm ADR at Via Napoli which we are both anxious to try for the first time

then we will head back to the resort to rest up and change for dinner.
tonight we are eating OOP at Hoop Dee Doo:cool1: with Shaun's family. We ate here in Dec 2007 when Daniel was with us and even though Danny and Daniel were not real excited about it prior to, they both really enjoyed it:thumbsup2

I love Hoop dee Doo! When I used to only got with my family, my father would go ahead for FPs because he is tall so his long legs enabled him to get through the crowds fast :rotfl:

the weather channel is predicting cooler weather than the last couple years for December, which is making it more difficult to decide what clothes to take... as I mentioned before I always overpack anyways much to Danny's dismay:rolleyes1 it has rained here all day with some severe weather passing through... hope tomorrow is better for our drive to Pensacola:drive:

well Danny got to say "I told you so" yet again... Everything went well at my Dr appointment and I was told 'see you next year'... but I have to admit I was a bit nervous going, but I guess after my cancer scare last year that is probably normal... but with that out of the way all I have to worry about is what to pack for Disney:rolleyes1

Dec 22 is our last day at Disney:sad2: but it is also my birthday:santa: so in the morning we are going to the GF to see the ginerbread house, then to MK for the Christmas parade @ 3 and the Main Street Electric Parade (my alltime favorite from when I was a kid in California) @ 9pm...then we will take the monorail over to 'Ohana for our 9:55 adr and hopefully be sat in time to see the fireworkspixiedust:

the next morning before we leave we will walk down to the Pepper Market and have breakfast since we will have to CS meals left, and maybe buy some more souvineers in the gift shop, then head on out for the long trip home:sad1:

Glad to hear the Dr. appointment went smoothly! And sounds like a great way to celebrate your birthday.

I don't want to miss your send off with the holidays keeping all of us so busy (I finished my TR so that I could concentrate on the others that I'm subscribed to), etc.

So in case I can't get back before you leave, I want to wish you a VERY Happy 50th birthday and a wonderful stay at the CSR and a most magical trip.

well, we are 40 hours away and not even close to being ready to go...the past few days have beeen hectic and sad for us... our oldest dog, Dixie, a 16 year Pit Bull (the sweetest dog you will ever meeet) had a seizure Thursday and another Friday, and after putting her on meds she couldn't stay on her feet without help and would only make right turns, we knew it was bad... yesterday we made the heart breaking choice to put her to sleep....and while I know it was the best thing for her, we are both mourning her loss something fierce....

RIP sweet Dixie Girl....we love you

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

thank you Kathy....I keep looking for her every where I turn...especially when I go in the garage (she always followed us there so we would give her a "treat" on the way back into the house

Sorry to hear about Dixie  And I love the Rainbow Bridge story!!

I lost my cat, Whiskers, back in March - we grew up together as we rescued her when she was a kitten and I was little at the time. It is so hard, esp. when as humans we have to make the decision as to whether or not to let them go.

yes, making that decision is sooo hard....we are missing her so much...we were blessed to have her for 16 years, as she had cancer as a pup and was not expected to live to the age of 1 year.... she was tough that way

we leave at 4 in the morning and are going to try to make the best of this trip

well, we are back....came home with a cold:sick: bit I guess that's better than getting it the first day of vacation...

will start a TR as soon as I get the chance, but to give you a hint , our first day was at AS Sports and when we arrived the CM asked, "could it be under a different name:confused3:scared1::confused3

2 weeks later and I'm still sick:sick: just can't seem to rid myself of this cough and congestion.....and now today I've had a stomache bug on top of that:sick:

I'm in the process of uploading my pictures to photobucket (only 1400 this trip):rolleyes1 which is a low # for me...then I will work on a TR
