Hi Carrie! I was so happy we were able to get another one. I actually hung him up in my cubicle at work and he'll be coming back to school with me!

Chapter 12: The World For Once In Perfect Harmony

After that, we decided to check out the next showing of Festival of the Lion King in the new Harambe Theater! The theater is a little bigger but other than that the show is pretty much the same. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it, right? I love it so much, especially the tumble monkeys and the fire juggler.

There was one moment where they paused the show due to technical difficulties. I was worried it would get shut down like the last time we saw it! But it started up right away and it was a great performance.

At this point Expedition Everest was back up, and we had a FP+ in addition to the FP we got that morning. BACK TO BACK RIDES! Mom and Aunt Patti went ahead to Pizzafari for lunch while the rest of us rode.

It was so much fun! We didn’t tell Emily we went backward, so she was surprised, but she had a blast the first time. We were all kind of bored by round two.

Next we enjoyed lunch at Pizzafari! I bet you can’t guess what we got.

Ahhh Disney pizza. So good.

Chapter 13: Go With The Flow

We got a 20% off merch coupon on our receipts, so I decided to bite the bullet. I had wanted this purchase for a long time, but it was a good amount of money, and well, I’m 21. But this sucker was just too cute to say no…

Yes, I am the proud owner of a new Duffy! And since the yellow ponchos define my childhood at Disney, I had to get one for him too.

While I bought my Duffy, Simba and Nala posed with a JAM Mickey. (JAM = the initials of my dad's friend who passed away from cancer)

Next we headed over to Finding Nemo. I was pretty tired at this point so I just cuddled with Duffy while we waited.

This was actually Em’s favorite show of the trip. We used FP+ for this and had great seats right in the center.

“We're penguins. We can't fly.” My favorite part.

We decided to head back to the hotel. We had done a lot and wanted to rest a bit before our big dinner. But first we got some Photopass pics in front of the Tree of Life!

And I got an Olaf pic. If any of you read my friend khertz's TRs, you'll know that her son refers to all the park icons as "My castle," "My hat," "My big ball," and "My tree." So I wanted to get a pic of Olaf in front of each to send to her, and it ended up coming out pretty great!

Dad and I went to the food court. He got snacks for himself and Mom, and I did some pin trading. He got cookies and we got Mom an Oreo cupcake.

I finished my rice krispie treat and then took a glorious nap. While I was sleeping, Ky and Em went to the pool, and then they got a caricature done! It came out so well!

Duffy! It's totally okay to make that purchase. I don't have a plain Duffy yet. Someday perhaps.

Great Lion King pictures! I really love that show! It was still closed when we were there in March so I missed seeing it this time. Just out of curiousity, what kind of camera do you use? Is it DSLR or point and shoot? I am going to buy a new DSLR camera and I am trying to figure out which one I want, so I am getting opinions on which camera people have to figure out what's the best.

Yup that's exactly it. I know a lot of people were worried about FotLK getting changed, but I'm glad to hear it really was just a building face lift (and obviously location change).

Hahaha, awesome back to back Everest ride photos. And YAY, it seems as thought they fixed the alignment of the photos too so the back isn't cut off. But wow, ya'll bore easily.

You're 21 and you purchased a Duffy... and your concern is?

Great spot for Tree of Life Photopass. No one in behind and just so lush.

I love Olaf in AK. I need to get an Olaf and take him around with us. Do you think he would like the Food and Wine Festival?

The very first time we went on the safari ride I was blown away by seeing giraffes walking around, nibbling on the leaves of a tree. It seems so basic now, like - of course giraffes walk around, but up until then I had only seen them in a cage at the zoo. There is something so majestic about the way giraffes walk. Seeing these animals in a semi-natural setting, is really cool.

The Festival of the Lion King is one of the few shows my husband is willing to see. It is so good!

Did you decorate your Magic Band?

My mom took most of those pictures and she uses a Nikon D3100 (I'm almost positive, I'm sure she will jump in to correct if I am wrong haha). I use a Nikon as well but mine is closer to point-and-shoot than DSLR.

Yep! I really like the new location though I do miss Camp Minnie-Mickey (and we won't get into my feelings about Avatarland) but I was glad to see the show was the same as usual.

I was SO happy we got the ride photos this trip. It takes a lot to keep us entertained...

Duffy is the bomb. I REALLY want a Shellie May buuuut it's a little pricey to get one from Japan so that isn't looking like an option haha. I knew I needed to get the yellow poncho because we always had those growing up so it's very nostalgic for me!

The giraffes are amazing. It's so much cooler to watch them in "nature" than in a zoo.

It's seriously amazing!! The performers are so talented, and the songs and costumes are incredible.

Oh man you are going to LOVE FOTLK. I am very biased toward the Beauty and the Beast show since that is my favorite Disney movie, but after that I think FOTLK is my favorite show on property.

Those are so cute. I decided to buy some vinyl covers, since I'm not very artistic. I've painted the Mickey head on two of them so far. I think one of the bands would look great with a sparkling silver Mickey, like your gold one. Did you use nail polish on the gold Mickey?
