30 Day Disney Photography Challenge - Day 9

A picture of your favorite Disney restaurant:

Cinderella's Royal Table! It was my favorite restaurant as a kid and now it's my favorite restaurant to share with my kids. Coy and True really enjoyed it there. This is a picture of them before breakfast at CRT in 2009 and I hope that we can have a meal there again on an upcoming trip!

Aww, your kids look so little compared to your more recent pics! They grow up so fast... (my oldest will be a teenager in a couple of weeks) :scared:

Oh, Hope, I know! My babies are getting so big! Looking through these pictures to do this challenge is making me very nostalgic! Coy is about to be 13 in two months! Are we really old enough to be the mothers of teens?

Additional dining plans! I just made a breakfast ADR for Chef Mickey's for our last park day! I'm so happy I got it! That means we'll probably have to pay OOP for Crystal Palace, but that's cool! I've gotta say that I'm shocked that I got an ADR for the time I wanted at Chef Mickey's for a trip that is just over four months out! All of my ADRs were easy to get, but I thought it was just because I was an uber-planner. Turns out, I have no skills whatsoever :lmao: We all know that's not true. Planning is everything! It just makes me wonder if people are taking more staycations this year, if the crowds are going to be lower than expected, if the summer tourists just don't plan ADRs or what?!?!? Most importantly, I'm wondering if the possibly lower attendance might mean a PIN code is in my future! I'm not getting my hopes up too high about crowds or PINs because I know June is a very busy month... but still! A girl can dream, right!

OK, I'm back to update again! I was reading a TR with some fantastic food pics (ahem... I'm looking at you, Karen) and saw something called a Conarita - which is apparently Corona and a margarita - that's served at Rainforest Cafe. Then I saw the Volcano again and I was done! I made an ADR for RFC! While I was at it, I noticed that the before-park-opening ADR that I had for CP was no longer before the park opened! There will be morning EMH at Magic Kingdom that day! Oh no! So I moved the Crystal Palace ADR to Sunday, our first park day! So, since I was fiddling with the ADRs anyway, I decided to push it some more and make an ADR for Biergarten too! I want my sibs and I to have as many opportunities to booze it up as possible! :rotfl: It's only for practical reasons, I assure you! Since we're going to have my kids with us and since we're not staying at a monorail resort, we'll have to have a designated driver every time we go out drinking. I call not being DD on the day we go to Rainforest Cafe!

Ok, first off, Erin and Hope, you are not allowed to feel old just getting to 13 when my son is going to be EIGHTEEN this summer! Voting! Registered for the draft! :scared1: Ok, no, really, I remember 13 was a biggie too!

The ADR changes sound great! We loved Biergarten when we went in 2009 and Rey got his favorite beer there when we went last week (OMG, I forgot to get a picture!!!! I'm a horrible wife. Took all my drink pics but not his precious beer!)

You might want to reserve that low-crowd excitement until you read ALL of my TR and how our "slow-no-crowd-late-January-season" was NOT slow. I actually think the parks are more and more crowded, but it means we are all in the same boat b/c I don't think there really are slow times anymore. :sad2:

Love all the ADR updates! You guys are going to eat, drink and be merry! :goodvibes

And Karen- I never said I felt old- what are you implying!

Wouldn't that be a shock if there was a huge crowd in January and no crowds in June? :lmao: Well, we know that would never happen, but it's weird that it was so crowded for your trip :confused3: I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for all of the people I anticipate being there. Not to mention the lines!

Oh, and when my kids turn 18 ,I will completely freak out!

Love all the ADR updates! You guys are going to eat, drink and be merry! :goodvibes

I'm so happy I was able to squeeze a few more ADRs in here! We all love to eat, so I think this plan will give us a sample of just about everything!

I'm glad you're not feeling old, because I am most certainly feeling old!

30 Day Disney Photography Challenge - Day 10

A picture of your favorite ride or attraction:

It's impossible to pick just one ride but Tower of Terror is definitely high up on the list. My kids and I love the "thrill" rides in Disney World, plus the theming of this ride puts it over the top.

That's why we go to Disney- to fight the old feelings! Old ladies don't ride ToT!

30 Day Disney Photography Challenge - Day 11

A picture of something you wish you could change about the parks:

This is a picture of the kids on the ferry from the TTC to Magic Kingdom. I wish there were more transportation options for Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. I like being able to take the ferry or monorail to MK and to jump over to EP on the monorail when I feel like it. I know there are buses and so forth but I would love to see monorails and big ferries to the other parks!

30 Day Disney Photography Challenge - Day 12

A picture of your favorite Disney food item:

Mickey Head Ice Cream Bar! Nuff said!

YUM!

I need a Disney boost- I think I'm going to have to jump in and do this challenge...

30 Day Disney Photography Challenge - Day 13

A picture of your favorite "Home" resort:

Coronado Springs Resort will always be my favorite because this was the first resort where my kids and I stayed. I know that a lot of people don't care for it because it's a convention resort, but the crowds never bothered us. As you can see from this picture of True trying to catch up with her brother ( ) the parking lot was only moderately full. We also liked all of the food choices available - we actually liked it more than the busy food court at Caribbean Beach Resort. The kids and I want to stay at Coronado Springs again one day :goodvibes

30 Day Disney Photography Challenge - Day 14

A picture of your favorite nighttime activity on Disney property:

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! I expect my favorite nighttime activities might change as I have different experiences in WDW - I'm looking forward to going out drinking with my sisters :drinking1 and I can't wait to go to MNSSHP one year - but right now, this is my favorite activity. I love seeing the castle all lit up and the decorations in the parks and at the resorts. Everything is so Christmas-y! I love the parades, the parties and all of the special shows that night. MVMCP isn't all about the rides and rushing around in Disney World. It is about taking some time to slow down and enjoy the Christmas season.
