Therapist Needed!!!

The good news is, I'm a qualified therapist (just earned my doctorate in psychology this year). The bad new is, I've sailed on Disney 44 times with over half a dozen more cruises booked, so I'm probably not a good therapeutic example. ;)

LOL! The kids pretended they were on Castaway Cay a couple weeks ago when we took them to the beach. Is that bad? :) LOL!

Hi :wave2: My name is Amanda and I am a DCL addict! Admitting it is the first step! Taking more cruises is the second! :earboy2:

Barb, that is amazing! What keeps drawing you back? Are they all on the Wonder or do you do the Magic also. What is your favorite thing about cruising?

. My sister decided to go on a cruise next Easter and I told her how great DCL is and that she must go. She comparison shopped....HAH!!! She told me they're going on the Norwegian Dawn, to which I said, "Suit yourself...but Disney's better".

Well, you won't find ME sailing on a cruise line that doesn't allow Service Dogs!

Hi ! I'm a definite addict ! I, too, was on the May 7 Western cruise (hi Linda!), also my first cruise. I thought, incorrectly of course, that I probably wouldn't check these boards after I got home. WRONG! Two, three times a day I was checking trip reports and pictures and missing the cruise so much.

I had severe post-cruise-trauma and just had to rebook for the same week next year. Where the money is coming from, I don't know, but I do know that if I didn't have another cruise to look forward to, they'd be putting me and my computer in a little padded room!! :rotfl:

I haven't even been yet on DCL and I cannot get enough of these boards! I am a DISBOARD addict too! :flower:

I wish my departure date was closer. I am already counting down the days when I should still be looking at how many months away we are from leaving! :rotfl2:

Well Belle.....I guess you and I can obsess over the next one together, since we will be sailing at the same time? May 6,2006? :Pinkbounc

I can totally relate to all of you. We have sailed twice with the last on Feb 5 2005. We didn't rebook on board and I could kick myself. Like all of you, I check the boards serveral times a day to get the latest info. I have faxed inventory control at DCL to be one of the first to book for 2007. We are shooting of spring break 2007 or during the summer. My DW is a school teacher and we work around her schedule. We are thinking of going for one of the rooms aft on deck 7 to take advantage of the secret deck or possibly one of the secret porthole staterooms on deck 5. We have a 4 1/2 and a 21 month old that we have taken on both cruise and in 2007 they will be both old enough to go to the oceaneers club and let DW and I have a little time to ourselves. I can't wait!. I think we are going to do the Western again as that was the first intineray that we took in 2003. Keep posting so that I don't go into severe PCD.

I really don't understand how they could get away with something like that.

You would definitely be happy with one of those rooms. That's where we were on our cruise,(7630, to be exact!) and it was wonderful!

MommyMouse -

Yes, we'll be on the same cruise...again! I've already check in on "who's cruising when you are" thread, and I'm trying to get my kids involved, too. Hopefully they can make friends before the cruise this time.

AAHH! I can't believe it's still so far far away !! At least I have plenty of people here on the disboards in the same boat (hee hee) with me, longing to be back on the most awesome vacation ever !

I was on the May 7th cruise with you all. I do have that cruise planned for Sept.2006 but I don't know if I can wait that long. We're already talking about May 2007 also. My adult DS just doesn't understand. He says can you really afford to go again. The answer is NO but I need too. Some people just don't understand the addiction. I'm so glad to have people like my self to talk too. Thanks Guys :grouphug: Please, lets keep this thread going for ever. It's helps the wait and the addiction. It will be our AA or should I say DA. You all can be my support group. Thanks again
Debbie :cheer2:

Hi guys! We were on May 7th also. I'm hoping for 2007 as well... I'll turn 40 that year - and that's a good enough excuse for me! :rotfl:
My 3 year old wants to give us money from her piggy bank so we can do another cruise and my 7 year old says she'd rather sail again that go to WDW. What's a mom to do???? :teeth:

Hi!Lynn,
You'll just have to make all their DREAMS come true. (not that Mommy wants to go or anything). :rotfl: May be we can all go May 2007. That would be great. Teresa was thinking about it too. :wizard: :wizard: Here's some pixie dust to make it happen. By the way I'm with your DD. I still go to WDW but it's not the same after DCL.
Glad to see your a member of DA. I can't stay off the DIS. Even in work where i'm not suppose to be on the computer. I still do it.
ADDICTION!!!!! Everybody think that will work when I get fired. I can hear my Husband now. :rotfl:
Debbie

OH THANK HEAVENS, I'M NOT ALONE!

Yes, I'm a dis-addict suffering from post cruise depression!

It's been over 2 weeks since our last cruise, but I can't stop wanting MORE!

My DH doesn't understand, he walked by the other day and said, "You're on that again..." :sad2:

I've even started looking at the Disneyland disboard, since we'll probably do that before another cruise, but it's not quite the same. They don't make door signs, watch webcams together and plan gifts for each other - at least not that I saw...

Is there any hope from this affliction beside: :badpc:

Well Heck...if we went this May, and are booked for next May, might as well make it three in a row for 2007, right? We have cruised many times on other ships, but NEVER have had this uncontrollable urge to HAVE to go back...NOW!!!! :confused3

I am considering how to rebook onboard for 2006 for a date that DH knows about & rebook for a date in 2007 (or switch to that date when they open up) that he doesn't know about. With current interest rates that grand wont earn us that much more money so why not put it on a cruise for our 10th anniversary? :) I am hoping that doing this will allow us to save even more money by booking so far ahead.

Someone please help me or at least tell me I'm not alone! :confused3 We returned from the 7 day Western on the Magic May 14th. Since then, I'm on these boards 3-4 times a day and last night I got weepy :sad1: watching the DCL on the Travel Channel. Granted, we had the most "magical" :wizard: vacation we've ever had but shouldn't I just get over it???? And no, we didn't rebook and can't in the near future as our eldest is just starting college. Does anyone else out there have this "disease"???? :confused3

I am with you 100%. My family and I went on a Western cruise in Feb 05 and had the time of our lives. I found myself pretty weepy even while on board the Magic on the last day (had to fight from bawling during the "Celebrate the Journey" show that my DS was in on the last night of the cruise). Got back home and battled sadness and nostalgia. I found myself on the DIS Board quite a bit.

Know what I did? I looked on DU and calculated how much a cruise would cost in the future. Then I divided that by the weeks remaining and set up a savings account, putting a little money into it each week. While we're not there yet (alhtough I did rebook for Feb 06), every two weeks when I put a little money into the savings account, I feel like I'm at least doing something towards my next cruise.
