theories on the august 12th big announcement....

I wondered the same thing, but why would the Podcast say that it would be more "complicated" this time?

Maybe because the park hours will also come out at 180. I think before, people had their park hours a little earlier so they could plan their meals in the parks with EMHs. Now they wont know which parks will be open early/late before booking dining.

...Just a guess!

I just saw this on the dis site updates on the dis homepage. Park hours will be 180 days out beginning on Oct.27

I just realized that you weren't asking about 180 days park hours, but that you were saying that! I think part of my brain is shutting down!

What makes everyone think the 180 ADR return is not the big announcement?

Go back to page 1 and read the OP. Or page 21 post #305. Or page 22 and post #323. Those are just a few reasons. There are many others throughout this thread.

But, don't forget about the the poster who reported today that her TA replied, "Mum's the word" when asked details about the rumored new promo. and she said her system was down:scratchin.

Just spoke with a CM about extending my trip a day and while I was at it, mentioned the 4/3 rumor. unless she is CLUELESS she pretty much sited why it won't be happening again. She seemed pretty adament and said "I will be completely shocked if Disney offered that again". Maybe she just doesnn't know, etc.

Meaning there will be more limitations when booking the package. If it is the 4/3 deal, you might have to purchase 7 day park tickets not just a one day ticket like some annual ticket holders did. Or maybe they'll make you take a dining plan too. Something like that.

Hey, Im waiting right here with all of you!

But...something in the way deep back part of my brain is telling me the 180 ADR thing was the big announcement.

Well, I know I'm behind the times here but I didn't know about this page but I'm so glad I just looked at this thread. I had a ressie for mid Nov with 7 nights at a Mod for $102 and 3 nights for $170 (those were only at rack room rate with the 40% pin code I used). I saw that they have the same time frame for $109 across the board so I wound up saving $150.00 by taking OFF the 40% pin special and using the general code on their website.

Sorry to get off topic as I know everyone is anxiously awaiting the 'news', but just wondering if you do have a 40% pin, do you get 40% off the general rate? I see my dates are now at 96.00 with the 35% off for the general public, does that mean I get an additonal 40% off:confused3

Wasn't it around 4pm (est) last Nov when the 4/3 deal was annouced? I've even been lurking on the podcast boards looking for clues :thumbsup2

So, I just wait :surfweb:

Wow, we are going to be waiting around for a while. That's still three months away.

just announced a Disneyland deal, but nothing about WDW.

I hope the news comes soon and I hope news comes about WDW.

What's the GA resident special? I don't tweet.

Saw a tweet linking to a press release with a package discount/offer for Disneyland.

http://www.disneylandnews.com/press+releases/disneyland+park/disneyland+package+offers.htm

Also one about special room rates at DisneyWorld for Georgia Residents.

Special discounted room rates at Walt Disney World Resort hotels now available for Georgia residents.

Saw them both here:

That is all I have been able to find so far....

The 40% is off the rack rate. Taking 40% off the discounted rate would be stacking discounts, something that Disney NEVER does. 40% off is still a bigger discount than 35% so it means more money for souvenirs or extra Dole Whips.
