TheNeverEndingPTR! Sept2010...no, November...WAIT! January?Ugh. maybe September 2011!

Y'know, it's really just a farce, calling what we do "movie day". Once again there was no movie watched even though Savannah had BEGGED for this movie?!?!? I guess playing with Kya was higher on her priority list.

Toy Story was a family favorite for YEARS when it first came out. My boys (now going on 15 & 16) LOVED everything about it. Dallas had Buzz action figures, little green army men, tshirts, cups, sheets...I could go on and on. I remember we watched it over and over for about 6 months straight when we got it on VHS.

But alas, my boys grew up *sniff* (I suspect TS3 will hit home hard for me when it comes out this summer) and Mr. Potato head was replaced by an XBOX 360, and Buzz was given away and replaced with a computer. My boys grew up. I don't even know if Savannah remembered much from the movie as they had started to grow out of it by the time she was old enough to remember.

BUT, as always, Hope came to the rescue and arrived with sandbox toys, rockin' printouts, and I snapped a couple pics. We had pizza, which the girls promptly ate and then disappeared for the remainder of the afternoon. :p

I can't blame them, I was off in my little world of chatter as well, rambling on to Hope in endless streams. It was all in the spirit of Toy Story though. Wasn't the main theme friendship? I think so, and today we all spent time chatting and playing with friends, and that's what it's all about.

Have no fear! Not sure about next week, but in 2 weeks we are doing Mexico/3 Cabanero's/and I'm SURE there will be some margarita's for a mama's, so that should produce some fun shots! ;)

Our table today:

The amazing printout/activites that Hope did (and that I'm SURE the girls will do at some point!)

Oh and no worries, there will be more Toy Story to come, we plan on going to the ACTUAL movie when TS3 is released, as one of our Monday "movie days". Hey, that means we'll actually SEE a movie! :lmao:

Just joining in - I've barely gotten to glance over your PTR, and already I'm blown away by your movie nights-- and the photography that goes with them! - great pics!

I'm also on my way to look up C25K...! :yay:

Yay! Another reader! Welcome Sarah! Join right in with the craziness! I hope you like C25K, I'm feeling really amazing, just did my Week 5, Day 1 run and I'm shocked that I'm running 5 minute intervals....even more shocked that by the end of this week I'll run 20 minutes straight?!?!?!

You're doing so well with that! I really don't think I could do it; I respect those who take on running, though. As usual, your pictures are lovely! :)

Aww, you made me all misty talking about your boys and how they're all grown up now. I think TS3 is going to make you cry! I feel the same way about "The Heffalump Movie"...if you've never seen it, Roo wants to be all grown up and Kanga tells him he'll grow up soon enough...we got that movie for DS's 1st birthday and now he's 3.5, and only getting bigger. That wouldn't seem like that much of a difference, except DD is going to be one in a little over a week! It all goes too fast! :goodvibes

Anyway, I like the decorations, and I can't wait to see what you come up with for next week, plus The 3 Caballeros. I've never seen that movie, I probably should!

I'm so glad you are looking into C25K! I used a podcast today for the first time and I LOVED it! No more looking at the watch, trying to find the 2nd hand as I'm bouncing all over the place. I did realize that you still have to pay attention to what you are doing b/c I thought I was doing a cool-down walk at the end and it had finished and was just playing a song on my sons mp3 player! It doesn't tell you when it's over! It does make a beeping noise to notify you when to stop running or walking, but you still have to KNOW if you are supposed to be walking or running at that interval. Worked great for me and the techno/dance music had a great beat for running. :cool1:

I didn't get to start this week, I was a little bummed. I'm trying a new asthma med and I don't think its really doing the job - I've been really tight and wheezy all week. I'm going to give it another week to kick in and if it doesn't then I'm going back on the advair. As soon as my lungs feel good again I'm going to start. Which podcast are you using?

They did give me the chopsticks and placemats since I only needed three but I had to buy the fortune cookies. :goodvibes

That's not bad! I'm definitely going to do this - you guys have such creative ideas!

Too funny about your "movie" night!
Great job with C25K. You've moved along quickly!!!

Amanda

Thanks Amanda!! :goodvibes

Rebecca, I'm sorry you couldn't start b/c of your asthma. Breathing is really the hardest part for me, once I get in a rhythm, I can keep running for a while. I pushed myself a little too hard this week and ran 2 days in a row b/c I just felt like running, and I paid for it. I was really sore and I had to take 2 days off. I will run again tomorrow. It's my 20 minute run (end of week 5) and I tried it the other day and could only do 14 minutes, walk for 2, and then finish up 4 more minutes. That's WAY better than I thought I would do, so at least I'm progressing!

Rey starts orientation for the new company on Monday, I'm praying things start looking up for us, I want to get excited about the trip again! :cool1:

Hey Karen!! I hope all goes well with Rey's new job! I'm sure you guys will feel much better once he gets going with that!

Great job running! I started back in october, but stopped. I also have asthma and I can run, but not when it's cold out. So, i need to get back into it slowly but darn, i've been pretty lazy.

Oh Karen...sorry to hear that you overdid. I hope you are feeling better by now and I'm really hoping everything goes well for Rey's orientation. I want you to be excited with us all!!!

Hope everything goes great with Rey's new job, and that you'll be back excited about your trip soon!

I hope the orientation goes well! So I did not end up starting last week but I am definitely going to do it this week!! Wednesday, Friday and Sunday are my days as they work best for my schedule. Wish me luck!

:yay: for running five minutes!! :yay:

Hey everyone, sorry to be so slow to reply today. I'm sick and I'm frustrated b/c there's no way I can run feeling like this. I've been laying around all day and I'm feeling worse now than I did this morning. My nose is all stuffed up and my head feels like a balloon. It looks like movie day might be out tomorrow as well. :sad2:

Rey left early this morning and orientation is tomorrow morning! :thumbsup2

:woohoo: for the new job starting!

Boo for being sick! I hope you feel better soon!

As for the movie day- don't worry we have PLENTY of time to do our movie days, just feel better.

More fingers and toes crossed for Rey's new job. Sorry you're a sick-o.

I guess I need to really look at this incredibly detailed itinerary you have made, eh?

Do you get the idea someone on this trip might just monkey with your plans??? Who me? I can get up in the morning even if I've had a few margaritas by the pool the night before. :rolleyes1 Can you?
