I was just reading another thread where the person is doing a theme for their upcoming trip. This gave me a few awesome ideas. I was wondering if anyone else does this and what your themes are?
I considered doing just a plain old "Mickey" theme for our next trip since my dd (1) loves mickey right now. Later, as she gets older, I can see some more interesting themes working as she is more aware of what is going on. Once you pick the theme, though, what all do you do to make the theme memorable?

That's a great idea!!

I think dining is where you'd get the most theme stuff. For your theme Chef Mickey's would be great! But when your DD gets older, I'm assuming she will like the Princesses. Then you could do CRT or Akershus in EPCOT for dining with all the Princesses. In addition, you could buy or make different outfits for you and your family (or just DD) to wear each day you are in the parks that fit your theme. Also, you could make an effort to go to visit all the characters that fit your theme. Some other ideas would be to give DD a gift basket before you go that has themed stuff in it that she could bring with her on the way to WDW. When you return from your trip, I would sit down with DD and DH and make a scrapbook or photo album that is themed just how your trip was.. so if it's Mickey themed- make a huge Mickey themed scrapbook with all of your pictures and things you pick up from the parks.

These are just some ideas-- if I think of any more, I will edit! Hope you get some more ideas! :)

Great ideas! I was thinking that maybe we could decorate her stroller with the theme too! That'd be fun while she's younger.
For Mom and Dad, finding hidden mickey's could be fun.
I'm thinking that this could really be a good thing to keep it interesting for those people that go every year. Every time I mention that we have the dvc and plan to go every year, I always hear parents say that their kids got bored with Disney after two trips. Well, geesh. You're just not doing it right, then - in my opinion. You just need some fun and creative things to do different on every trip.
