Theme Park View Rooms...

I know from staying at the Contemporary that the TPV room there is probably the best there is on property (short of staying in Cinderella's Castle...one can only dream).

This trip though I'm REALLY wanting to stay at the Poly. Will the TPV room be disappointing now that we've been spoiled by the Contemporary view? I know the Poly is much further and DH may say its not worth the extra $$ but I thought I would ask for opinions anyway for those that have stayed in a Poly TPV room before.

IMHO, for Fireworks viewing you can't beat the Theme Park View rooms at the Poly because they are pretty much straight on. It's like watching them in the Park and facing the Castle directly, albeit further away. And with the reflection off the water....stunning.

As far as Theme Park view outside of Wishes, CR can't be beat.

I've stayed both and they are both awesome in different ways. I agree with @dansdad though, the straight on view of fireworks is a big plus.

These were taken from Hawaii which is CL, but the standard TPV room views will be roughly similar. Key word is roughly as standard TPV rooms are to the left of this, away from the Bungalows. I don't think photos do this view justice though...so much better in person.

We've stayed both and while they're both awesome, I preferred the Poly. It feels more like you're looking at a magical kingdom far away across the lake, while from the CT the MK seems a little less mysterious. We also love to watch the boats making the rounds on the lake from the Poly.

Although we prefer the TPV view from the CR, the TPV from the Poly is stunning as well. I wouldn't hesitate to book a Poly TPV.
