We are taking our grandson to disney for his 3rd birthday. We will be at Magic Kingdom on the 15th and Animal Kingdom on the 16th. His 3rd birthday is on the 17th. I have seen that he does not need a ticket until he turns 3, but does this restrict any of the activities or rides? Thank you

Its not the AGE that would "restrict" him (or lack of a ticket) but there are HEIGHT requirements (with or without a paid ticket) on certain more "intense" rides.

But an almost-three-year-old will have lots of things to ride and see at WDW regardless of his height or ticket status.

Especially at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.

Also know that the age at the start of the trip determines whether or not you need a ticket. So if he is 2 when you get there, he will not need a ticket the day he turns 3.
