I bought a pair of Privo shoes (made by Clark's) at Macy's yesterday. They are a lightweight sneaker with a very cushy sole, great support, and they have a zipper (instead of laces...very easy to put on). I think they might be the perfect theme park shoe...anyone else try them? The other plus is that they were on sale! $40 instead of the regular $75.

My other option is a pair of Columbia flip flops I found, which are cute and very very comfy, but I'm just scared to have my toes exposed.

Anyone go with either of these, or something else that they swear by (besides those you know whats!) for theme parks? I really want very happy comfy feet while I'm there (leaving in less than 2 weeks!!! :cool1: )

I wore Tevas when we visited WDW and my feet never hurt. This was a few years ago before you know whats were popular (and I live 15 minutes away from the you know whats headquarters :) )

I'd wear Tevas again in a heartbeat.

The kids and DH wear Tevas and love them. I have a pair of Ecco sandals that I wore last year and they were great! :sunny:

We are High Qual. Water shoe people.

Solomons
Ecco's
Northface

They are great for walking and are super light with support. Most can be worn with or without socks and wick the water from the water rides and rain right away.

Tevas are #1 for me. No other shoe has even come close. I've been wearing them for almost 15 years now, and still swear by them. They hold up well, are great for parks and when your feet get wet, they do not get that achey feeling by the end of the day.

Other than tennis shoes if it is too cold out, I will only wear my Mickey flip flops I've had for a few years. I don't mind my toes exposed at all. Actually I really do believe it makes for a more comfortable feel. Just remember that if your toes are exposed, they can get burned!

Birkenstock & Black Clarks for a business casual WDW table service meal. The DDs are wearing Teva this year. The other shoes are coming with us & will be used too by all 4 of us. I always bring a few options in case a blister or something happens.

I've had good luck with Birkenstocks.

I have found that the least comfortable shoes for me are sneakers.

I've had great luck with Birkenstocks. I've tried several types of Tevas, and they always rub somewhere on my foot. I don't have bunions or any foot problems, it's just the the Teva tapes (straps) are a little rough on my feet.

I thought Mephistos were wonderful, but I could never wear them all day without them rubbing also. I have a narrow foot so maybe it's the fact that my foot slides in some shoes.

I bought some Nike flip flops last year that I thought were great, unti I wore them all day. My feet were just so tired by the end of the day.

I've been wearing Merrell clogs a lot lately. So far so good, but I haven't really spent a whole day walking in them like at WDW. And I haven't tried the Merrell sandals yet.

I've been trying to break in a pair of Clark's Lapis

for our trip. I got a pair of Clark's clogs for when I was working at the Disney Store and was impressed that I didn't have any pain in my knees or hip after being on my feet for 4 hours.

I've worn the cross-over "thong" a few times to walk at lunch time and they rubbed a little on top of my foot after a couple miles, but that was only the second time I'd worn them for a lengthy walk. I need to give them another test run before packing them.

I also got a pair of Rafters flip flops.

I might be bothered more around the toe and will probably reserve them for water rides and the pool.

My alternative is a pair of KSwiss walking sneakers that really aren't all that comfortable.

I usually wear running shoes most of the time since I make a point of trying to walk as much as possible there. If I wear sandals (not flip-flops), I've had good luck with Nikes and a cheapie pair I got @ Wal-Mart a few summers ago.

Teva flip flops :thumbsup2

ETA: These are the ones I LIVE in

My Berkinstocks! They are so comfortable!! :thumbsup2

MINE too! Just bought a new pair. Retired the old ones, made four trips to WDW with them. I'd sleep in mine, but I have to draw the line somewhere!! :lmao:

I have an awesome pair of Merrell mocassins that are GREAT for the parks!!!

My sister has the most sensitive feet in the world plus she was in a terrible accident 20 years ago and has a lot of back problems. She also blew out both knees while skiing.

She's a mess and has the worst time trying to find shoes that will give her the support she needs. Even the Birkinstocks which were quite comfortable for her to wear ended up causing a lot of joint problems.

With her narrow little feet she could never wear those "other" shoes, but she did buy a pair of Keen sandals this year and has been very happy with them. First shoes she's been able to wear successfully without her custom orthotics.

DH just got a pair of Keen sport sandals that look like they may be good park shoes. The toe part is covered so you don't have to worry as much about them being stepped on. I think I may get a pair too!

We wear our well broken in Tennis Shoes. For me, it is Reebok. For DH it is New Balance. For DS7-??? He needs new shoes for the summer. We all also have the water sports shoes from Lands' End.

I just spent 12 hours at MGM in flip-flops - something at JC Penney. No problems. The only people stepping on my feet were my kids! ;)

I stay away from sneakers at the parks in the summer cuz of the chance of rain. I need something that I can get wet in, walk in the rain in, and will dry off quickly. I have a pair of Nikes for that, but they are old so I am shopping around.
