Has anyone experienced theft at the Disney beaches?

Never at the parks / hotels and never at Disneys private island Castaway.

Don't leave anything unattended you aren't willing to lose anywhere (unless it's your private beach of course). Acting any different is just relying on dumb luck.

Only thing we have ever had stolen was a bottle of sunscreen in the adult pool area on the Fantasy

Nope. And I left my phone in the restroom at CC and the only confusion was that it was turned over to Guest Services so quickly it hadn’t been logged yet and took a bit to track down.

Not on the beaches, but on the most recent last two cruises Feb 2025 and May 2025 we have had magnets stolen off of our door. These are magnets we have collected over the past decade on DCL and ports we have visited so maybe if I just did ordinary door magnets ordered off line might not have had an issue. But it's never been an issue in the past decade so why now? My fear is it could spread to beach chairs if this same thief walked by my chair while I was in water, or getting something to drink I have no doubt if they wanted my book or bag or anything they would take it just like they did my magnets.

On the Wonder in a few weeks to Alaska, my daughter said she wants to put the magnets on the inside of the cabin door so we can still enjoy them without losing them any longer.

Never on the beaches, but we had things taken out of our fish extender on our cruise in 2018.

Never, but the most valuable thing I take to CC is my phone. Anything else of value is left on the ship.

I only ask because at Look out Cay the lounges are so far away from the beach. I would have to leave my stuff at a lounger then go across the bridge to water.

Just curious - what "stuff"? You really only need a hat, towel, sunscreen, and room key/ID to return to ship.

Cruises in Feb 2025 and May 2025 haven't happened yet, unless someone stole your time machine.

FWIW my niece had a Coach diaper bag stolen off her stroller at Disneyland while they parked it and went inside a restaurant for lunch. She figured since it's Disneyland there wouldn't be any problems with theft. wrong.
