You'd think Walmart could at least cancel that card and give you $30 on a new one. Especially if you have the purchase receipt.

They did cancel the card and give us a new one with the $30.00 on it. Sorry if I didn't make that clear. I will have pleasure in knowing that the thief will try to spend it (dumb thief, not using it all up at once), and be told the card is empty. I had hoped they would tell her the card had been reported stolen, and cancelled, so she would be nervous, but they said they'll just tell her it's empty.
I did ask to speak to the manager on duty and they gave me security, instead. I might call back again, since this is the time of night it happened.
