Anyone else do theater?

if so what play are you doing or going to do?

Currently i'm doing High School Musical (the stage production of course)

I didn't quite get the best part but i got a thespian (actor) so thats kinda cool

our school is doing Cinderella this year and all my friends want me to audition. but I don't know, acting might not be my thing. there all like oh please Bridget your such a drama queen and you love Princesses it's so you! hahaha.

And I'm currently (anxiously) waiting the cast list for the winter production of Streetcar Named Desire.

cinderella is suchhh a fun play..
i loved that one when i did it...

and you never know you might get the part

I just finished being the head stage manager for my college's fall production of Measure for Measure...
And I'm currently (anxiously) waiting the cast list for the winter production of Streetcar Named Desire.

I've never heard of either of those...

But it sounds cool...

most citys have communtiy theater stuff all the timeee

or through collages..

thats what i'm doing even though i'm only in high school

it gives you collage credit

never done a musical, i did get cast as rapunzel in into the woods, but couldn't do it b/c of other commitments. boo.

yeah i mainly do just regular plays.

i've done rosencrantz & guildenstern are dead & hamlet (played ophelia in both)
Hopscotch played Lorali (MY FAVOURITE THAT IVE EVER DONE)
Played Medea in The Medea
Kitty in Kitty the Waitress
Mom/Diane in WASP
a bunch more, that i can't remember right now.

I was also a production manager for our school's theatre production in grade 11.
And i was the Artistic Director in Grade12. which was an AMAZING expirience.

In grade 12 my theatre production class had to put on a childrens theatre play. & my friend & I were directing and we choreographed this big song/dance finale. Which was awesome & we built & painted all the sets which turned out fantastic, and I also made alot of the costumes.

I LOOOVE being on stage, but I also really like doing backstage stuff too.
I'm in university right now studying Performance & Theatre, but I haven't had much of a chance to perform yet, we're mainly doing theory & history stuff this year.

I was serriously abolut to audition for rapunzal in into the woods but then i relized i'm doing HSM and i cna't do two at once...
When i get older i want to do some stageing and coustuming too...
i acutlay want to go to school for theater coustuming...

I've been in musicals since I was 8, at a cute little theatre 20 minutes away from me. But now I've switched companies, and I'm with a more professional and...well, just all around better group! We're doing Les Miz. I'm in the ensemble, but it's still an experience unlike anything I've ever witnessed before. The talent is unbelievable.

I've also stage managed for the younger kids in my old theatre company since I was 12. They've done stuff like Annie and High School Musical, which was fun to work on. I even got to do sound for HSM, so I had to manage everyones mics and the school bells and stuff. 'Twas tricky

As for my high school...we're doing Fiddler on the Roof. Auditions are tomorrow I'm going out for Golde. It's a major audition for me because the people who are going out for leads have to sing a whole song, and part of another. I'm basically belting out "Do you love me?" (that should be fun) and singing part of "Sunrise, sunset". I'm very nervous though, but I have a decent shot this year, luckily. I don't know how I'm going to get through classes tomorrow!!

Right now, the fall play is Anne of Green Gables.
I didn't do that play.

But, I'm planning to do the spring musical, which is Beauty and the Beast =)

Our season this year is:

Skin of Our Teeth- I was the Dinosaur/Majorette/Actor

Aladdin- I had a callback yesterday for Abu and I think I did really well...cast list goes up tomorrow

Les Miserables- This is going to kick freakin butt. It's going to be AMAZING. I just hope I get in.

Other Show's I've been in:
Thoroughly Modern Millie, Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast, Into the Woods, and multiple unknown stupid middle school shows.
