To begin we arrived at our room at around 12 noon. My mom traded her Hawaiian timeshare for one in Orlando for this year, a place called Polynesian Isle. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, family room, and dining area connected to the family room. It was very conveniently located, only a 10 minute drive to the Disney World area and about 25 from Universal in our rent-a-car. My mom and Rachel stayed in the master bedroom and I stayed in the other bedroom.

The first thing we did after we got there was get lunch because we hadn’t had anything that day. There was a mall only a few blocks away with a food court so we stopped there. I was surprised there were no franchise eateries in there but there was a counter for Italian food so I got a slice of deep dish sausage and pepperoni pizza. My mom got the fried chicken meal and Rachel got a chicken club sandwich. It was surprisingly tasty food.

Straight from there we went to Disney MGM Studios and arrived there at 2:00. There was a moderate crowd there just like I heard, a larger crowd than I figured would be there but not bad at all. Rachel and I headed straight for the Tower of Terror, my mom said no way José to that ride so we told her we’d meet her at the exit. When we got there the wait was 60 minutes so we opted to get fast passes and come back a little later.

We met up with my mom again and I saw the Rock n Rollercoaster was nearby so I convinced Rachel to get on it (she originally said she would sit that one out) and we went over. The wait was only 15 minutes so we got in line. I’m new to rollercoasters myself having been afraid of them most of my life but I really enjoy them now so I had a blast riding this one and Rachel did too, she was really excited afterwards and we both had a good laugh at her face (mostly I did) when we saw our picture from the ride.

We met up with my mom at the exit again and she said she wanted to go on Voyage of the Little Mermaid because she thought it was a ride. We walked over there and saw it was a show and she changed her mind. After that we headed for The Great Movie Ride and saw there was a 25 minute wait and got in line. I was sitting right behind the driver’s seat and was afraid the mobster that commandeered our vehicle would pick on me but thankfully he didn’t.

After that it was time to ride Tower of Terror! We hurried back over there and by then there was hardly any line anymore (it was about 4:00). We gave them our fast passes and got in line and waited about 5 minutes to get on. I was nervous about the drop because I am still new to thrill rides but once again Rachel and I had a fantastic time and she was excited again as we exited the ride.

We met up with my mom and she said she really wanted to do Who Wants to be a Millionaire – Play It! So we headed straight over there, the show was starting in 5 minutes so we made it just in time. My mom and I both love Millionaire so this was an awesome experience for us even though we both didn’t make it to the top players list on the screen :-(.

I told my mom I really wanted to eat at the Sci-Fi diner so we walked over there and made a reservation for dinner which was for 6:15 giving up about an hour to kill. We went over to Star Tours and Rachel wanted a picture of me on the speeder bike so I posed for her and we went in to the ride. The line was very short, only 5 minutes again and we all rode the ride.

We still had more time to kill after that so we went over to Muppets 3D and made it just in time for the show (our first of many 3D/4D shows on this trip). Mom and I had seen it like 2 times already and Rachel didn’t like it that much. It was about 6:00 so we went over to the Sci-Fi diner for dinner. While we waited we read the menus and talked about what we wanted. We all had the same thing in mind, the BBQ chicken sandwich.

They seated us in a car near the back center, the place was absolutely beautiful to me. I loved it in there. A stranger kindly took a picture of all three of us in the car. We ordered our food and talked and watched the movie clips waiting for our food to arrive. The food was great, it had a nice sweet barbecue sauce, really tasty onion strings, and gouda cheese served with fries.

After dinner it was dark outside and the park was closing in about 15 minutes (7:00). It was a beautiful night, clear sky, not too cold. As we walked passed The Great Movie Ride on our way out we decided to ride it again (no wait this time) and then we headed back to our room.
