Wow, that's some creepy stuff! I didn't see the new one, but I saw the one made in 2005. It came on Showtime the other night and  . Movies like that, base on true stories, are scarier than your good ol' Micheal Myers type movies.

Did anyone else see this or the new one (if it's out, I haven't been paying attention).

i was wondering when a thread on this would come up.

the one on video and showtime is terrible and does'nt do a good job at telling the actual events. the new theatrical release is much more accurate and got allot of assistance from the actual people involved in the events.

sorry to say i know way too much about the case cuz it happend in my hometown as i was growing up. it was a very scary time. our hometown paper is running allot of articles on it along with having readers submit memories.

graysmith (who wrote the books the movie is based on) did a phenominal job investigating-and if you want to read a realy chilling true crime book it's well worth picking up.

I saw it at the movies yesterday. I thought it was very interesting and well done. I was one in '69 so don't remember the murders and I only have a vague recollection of the later letters.

I can imagine how scared people were. I know how frightening it was here when Richard Ramirez was on the loose. I was afraid to leave my window open at night and it was sooo hot. Didn't get much sleep that summer.
