Now let me tell you the Greek myth of Icarus, since you probably don't know. Icarus and his father, Daedalus, were being held captive in the tower of this castle by the king who lived there, who had required Daedalus, an inventor, to create an underground maze called a labyrinth. Daedalus, however, created two sets of wings held together by wax, one set for him and one set for his son Icarus. When they were ready they flew right out of the tower. Now, Daedalus had warned Icarus that he shouldn't fly too close to the sun, because then the wax would melt. Icarus had forgotten, and was celebrating their escape, and he flew higher and higher and higher. Daedalus tried to warn him but it was too late, Icarus had flown too close to the sun and his wings melted and broke. And so Icarus fell all the way don to the sea below, and died, and Daedalus could do nothing to help him."
