Fairywings said:Mike: "Okay." He got to work.
Evelyn: She put in the kitchen and put on the 1940's station on Pandora. Evelyn was starting to enjoy that type of music, it was relaxing, pure, and easygoing. She got next to Mike and cut the veggies he washed.
Fairywings said:Mike: He raised an eyebrow at her station choice.
Evelyn: "You like it honey?"
Fairywings said:Mike: "It's nice, but you don't have to listen to it for me."
Evelyn: "I know I don't have to, but I want to." Her foot started to tap while cutting and then spontaneously she took Mike's hands and they went away from the sink. "Let's dance!"
Fairywings said:Mike: He laughed. "Right here, right now?"
Evelyn: "Yeah!", she giggled. "This is a good swing song. You know 40's dance. I'll follow your lead."
Fairywings said:Mike: "I also have two left feet. If my dad can't dance, what makes you think I can?"
Evelyn: "Oh Mike, it's easy." She put his hands on her. "Loosen up a little, and just go with the flow. Left foot, right foot, right left right."
Fairywings said:Mike: "Oh, now I feel like we're at boot camp," he said with a grin as he moved with her.
Evelyn: She giggled. "Why Recruit Rogers, I don't know what your talking about. They flowed together to the music. "Your not too bad at this. Left right left, right left left."
OOC: I assume it's the same in the Army, but right now at Marine Boot Camp Andrew is only aloud to be called Recruit *Lastname*. I adress his letters that way and they won't call him a Marine until the end.
Fairywings said:OOC: I honestly have no idea.
Mike: He rolled his eyes. "Honestly, I haven't been a recruit since I was eleven - they thought I was sixteen though. And thank you."
Evelyn: She slowed down a little. "You were... only eleven?"
Fairywings said:Mike: He stopped moving. "Haven't you done the math? I'm turning 86. 70 of those years were in a comatose sleep. Somewhere between 2 and 3 of those years has been in this time. I was born in the year 1930. America entered the war in the year 1941, I was 11. We crashed in 1943 or 1944, that part is always hazy just because of what happened, during which time I would have been 13 or 14. But in boot camp, yes I was 11. But once I got the serum, I looked older so they didn't question it. Only... only the Commandos knew. But it doesn't matter. The past, as they say, is the past."
OOC: That is actually the correct math, I had to do it a while back.
Evelyn: "I guess I never thought about it that much. Oh Mike, that's terrible." She gave him a hug. "You were a child. I'm sorry I never realized. The past is the past, but I think letting it out heals. Hey, for me not doing the math how about I make it up to you with a snuggle tonight?"
Fairywings said:Mike: "It's fine, I chose it all, no one forced me, and I'd do everything exactly the same if I was given the option to do it again. Although, a snuggle does sound amazing."
Evelyn: "Okay darling. And the snuggle sounds like a plan. Doesn't mean we can't do anything now." She lifted up on her toes and started to kiss Mike passionately.
