How cool is this? Actor Sean Patrick Flanery, known for TV hits ranging from The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles to The Dead Zone and that forever fab flick Powder, is heading to the CBS soap The Young and the Restless. He hits the air mid-April. In a nice switch-up, Flanery won't be playing yet another rich, Genoa City power-schemer but rather a salt o' the earth country veterinarian named Sam (no last name yet). He will be paired with longtime Y&R star Sharon Case (Sharon). Exec producer Maria Bell gave TV Guide Magazine all the juicy deets, so look for 'em in the March 21 issue, on sale next week!
Wow, Sharon might get to be happy with no drama! I welcome that. He's kind of cute.

Next week Katherine finds out about Tucker's role in encouraging Abby to sue her father and what is going on with Beauty Of Nature.
Katherine lashes out at Tucker and threatens to remove him from Chancellor Industries.
Katherine enlists the help of someone to go after Tucker.
Jeanne Cooper said we will see just how "cruel" Katherine can be.

In previewing Victor and Diane's marriage the writer refers to it as a "business arrangement" on both sides. He said that neither is in love with the other. Diane married Victor, knowing he was still in love with Nikki, for financial security. Victor married Diane because he could not be with Nikki and wanted a "trophy wife companion." The writer talks about Victor's "steak of cruelty" that led him to marry Diane as a way of trying to hurt Nick.
The writer said Diane entered this marriage with "her head not her heart" and that her feelings for Nick won't disappear. Nick is angry with Diane when he finds out about the marriage because it confirms that she is a gold digger. But despite his anger Nick may not be able to resist Diane who won't be able to stay away from Nick though she does want the marriage with Victor to last for financial reasons. The pre-nup Victor had her sign is very much in Victor's favor.
Nikki runs into Victor and Diane and is very "gracious." She congratulates them on the marriage and gives no sign that it bothers her. Y&R's Victor and Diane: Married!
Last week they eloped, now comes the fallout.
First, Jack gets upset when Kyle wants to move back on the ranch. He is excited his mom is married to Vic. The ranch has lots of cool things for him to do there. But for Jack it's bitter and vile, but he can't forbit it. He is very displeased.
Phyllis, on the other hand, is secretly relieved to see Kyle go. "Kyle has not warmed to Phyllis," points out Hamner. "She definitely believes that life with Jack is going to be easier now that Kyle has moved back to the ranch."
Meanwhile Vic plans a reception at Gloworm. While spontaneou, it's highly strategic. They are inviting some vry significant players to the event. The marriage is like a political arrangement. It's not some dreamy romance. Their alliance is something they want everyone to know about. The party is to be a stone thrown in to the pond of GC, but they are expecting a tsunami, instead of a ripple.
Vic toats his new bride, then argues w/ Jack. Kyle and Gloria (who is benefiting financially from hosting the bash) are the only two people who are happy about the union. Phyllis sees it as Diane and Vic deserve each other. She is going to be waiting eagerly to see who is going to screw over whom first.
The newlyweds return home where Nick shows up and is rude to his dads new bride/his ex lover. "Nick is really angry about this marriage," points out Hamner.
Vic responds to Nick's rudeness by kicking his son out. The next day, Nikki, who already knows of the nups sees them at CL and pretends to be happy. She congratulates them while wantig to rip out Diane's eyes. Nikki and Victor are soul mates. They're never going to completely escape each others orbits, promises Hamner. Nikki is hurt, angry and mad at herself. It keeps pushing her to drink.

Jack blabs to Kay about his secret deal w/ Tucker to get Jabot back. Kay loves Jack like a son, but he's like a naughty child, no matter how old he get.
Kay realies the suit against Vic was really a way for Tucker to gain BON, which really ticks her off. "Tucker isn't just tryin to get a piece of the cosmetics bus, he is destroying a family." sums up Jeanne Cooper. Tucker has turned out to be a culprit.
She confronts her son and rants that he needs to be ashamed of himself. You don't destroy a family to make a buck, Cooper explains. She tells him she will shut him down-and he will get his comeuppance. He's going to find out how cruel in business she can be. Cooper says it will be a good fight between mother and son.
