We had such luck with the crowds at MK yesterday that we decide that today will be an MGM day. We don't have an early breakfast PS today so we get to sleep in until 7:30!
I call the bank again and instead of receiving the dreaded "Your account is currently overdrawn," I hear the magical "The current balance is..." And the ironic news - not only has Disney credited my account with the money, the bank has put the credit thru as well. I'm loaded.
I break the good news to DH while we're on our way to MGM. We arrive before 9 and as soon as we're allowed, DH and older kids make their way to TOT. Although I would like to ride it, the 5 y.o. would not. Besides, we need to rent a stroller today so I take one for the team and let them go.
I step into the stroller rental shop and request a multiple day stroller rental. I add 3 of the classic mickey ears for the boys and a cool hat for DD. I've got money now. Let's get to work spending some of it!
The CM takes my card and promptly informs me that my card has been declined. DECLINED?!?! She calls the resort and instead of putting me in touch with someone who can explain what the problem is, they connect me to my room. "Hello, room. We're not there right now. Tell Mousekeeping to leave us something cool."
The CM cannot call back immediately because there are now 5 other people in line who apparently have money to pay for their stroller. I can hear the opening ceremonies outside the shop but I'm stuck waiting for her to finish up with her 'paying' customers.
She hands me the phone after ensuring that I'm talking to someone at the resort. The CM on the other end confirms that I have indeed reached my $500 credit limit & they need to charge my VISA so that my room charge will be refreshed with $500 of spending power. I KNOW THAT I HAVE NOT SPENT $500....NOT EVEN CLOSE! I authorize the charge. I have no other choice at this point - I figure that I'll straighten it out later at the hotel.
What if I had not received the credit from Disney (and/or the bank) that morning? How can I explain to my 5 y.o. that he needs to put the Mickey ears back because Mommy can't buy them for him. I am beyond angry at this point. I am seething. On the day that I can finally relax and enjoy myself, I am cheated out of yet another day of peace of mind.
I just want to finish up with the park so that I can get back to the hotel. Look out because there is going to be TROUBLE!!!!
