The Year 2042 now has two ominous meanings!

The first we all knew: the expected demise of the DVC I. But now it is also projected to be the year that Social Security is expected to go insolvent! So not only we will be cast out of DVC, but we won't be able to afford to buy into DVC XXXXXVIII or whatever they are up to by then. So be sure before 2042 to have purchased your walker, and to have a large refrigerator box to stay in when in the Orlando area.

People are actually planning on getting Social Security?? ROFLOL!!

P.S. DVC IS my Social Security!!

In 2042 DH & I will be 89...Our grandkids have instructions to bring our ashes (in zip lock bags) to WDW everytime that they go!!!

In 2042 I will be 100, at that point SS should not mean too much to me, but the end of my contract at DVC might upset me:D ;) ;)

In 2042, I'll be 90, so probably won't use either DVC or SS. However, the idea of putting my ashes in a Ziploc bag and bringing them to WDW sounds great! And DH would probably love to have his ashes permanently at HH, perhaps scattered in the marsh. Wonder if it's possible?

Of course it's possible. Just don't tell the front desk. (Or tell them the little baggy is lunch.)

Do the instructions include leaving any behind say at Illumnations viewing area, Splash Mountain, Tree of Life and Tower of Terror?

I'd like a little sprinkled on the BC beach, Seven Seas Lagoon, England near the benches out front, flower garden right when you walk in on Main Street, and near Old Faithful at WLV.

Hey, I will only be 84! What will I do with the rest of my life?

Cheer up everyone!!
There will always be SSR resales!!:p
(I wonder if they will be worth anything by then . . .):hyper:

I guess we will be fortunate to live off of our formerly budgeted dues money!:D

Funny I just got my Social Security annual statement in the mail today. I don't think they mentioned that in the fine print. :)

You been talking to NutHut lately, Carol ????

:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :teeth:

If I am around, I will be 94. I probably wont have need for either!

Looks like CM's will be spending a lot of time sweeping up ashes in the future.

eeeeeeeuuuuuuuwwwwwww.

Hey, I think I will have our ashes sprinkled off of one of the trails at Forth Wilderness! What a great idea! Then when my kids want to 'visit' me, they can come to WDW. Maybe my grandkids will even come!

2042, I will turn 95 that year.
If I start socking money away now I may be able to afford a purchase at the New "Space Ship Earth Villas" w/ MonoRail access when my contract ends. That is, if the price per point starts to slow down a bit.

I noticed it when I read about Medicare going broke before then.

The funny thing is, the first thought I had when I saw 2042 was oh no, I'll be Homeless and my government dole will run out! Just didn't get a chance to post it back then. :cool2:

Hmmm...I will be 67. I hope hubby and I have purchased our Winnie and are seeing the rest of the USA by then!
