Oh sure, it looked real pretty to you Pam, but you weren't the one shoveling the driveway ;) Yep it is heavy and very wet snow. Not much fun to shovel, but would be excellent for playing in :)

That is too funny about the hot tub!!! :teeth:

Morning, er, afternoon, er... well, depending what time zone you're in that is. :p  Oh wait... Should I be saying good morning? Actually, DW doesn't know I say good morning here. She just thinks I'm strange for having so many virtual friends. :p I see a lot of  when I mention the Dis. :p :teeth:

Elaine, snow?? Wow... it was 74 degrees here yesterday! Well, now it's colder tho (had a cold front move in). Something about 74 degrees in February just doesn't quite seem right, you know?

Okay, time to dig thru the Big Box of Stuff and see what I can sell on ebay. :teeth: Now where's that digital camera so I can take pictures of it all? ;)

Jay,
I get those    looks from my family as well. DH sometimes sneaks up and looks over my shoulder to see what I'm typing!

Good Afternoon (or morning) Ya Ya's.

Elaine--that snow does look pretty, but, I know what you mean about it being not much fun to shovel.

Jay--not too much stuff on eBay, now, OK? it is a dangerous, dangerous place. Fortunately (or UNfortunately), I have not been bitten by the bracelet bug, so I can avoid the charm auctions, but there is so much other stuff...

Marilyn--glad you are having fun with Petite Ya Ya.

Kimmie--Bubble Boy's ear infection is back, his tonsils are swollen, and his throat hurts. The PNP is treating the ear infection, and did not run a strep culture, because the antibiotics should knock that out too.

Bonnie, Jodie, question time: Last year Ian ended up on preventative antibiotics after his ear infection came back for a third time. They are thinking of doing it again this winter, after this round. At what point do we bag all the antibiotics and have the 'ear tube conversation?'. Not that I want him to go through that, but all these antibiotics cannot be helping the rest of his system.

A hot tub on the ice??? Hee hee hee. Pam, the extreme cold can drain cell phone batteries, which is why it may have died suddenly/unexpectedly.

Jennifer, I'm glad you're back too, I am sending you a PM shortly, so keep an eye out.

Off to see if I can get Bubble Boy to drink some chicken soup. He has not really eaten anything since yesterday's cereal at breakfast.

Pam, I guess I'm lucky. DW doesn't look at what I type. Actually, I don't think she wants to know. Sigh... guess this is what I get for marrying a non-believer. LOL... then again, she wonders what I do in here on the boards. :p
Well, technically, she sorta believes. But she uttered "those" words to me on more than one occassion. Yep, the words every Dis-aholic hates to hear. "For our next vacation, I think we should go somewhere other than WDW." :earseek: BLASPHEMY!!! Nooooooo!!! Say it isn't so!!! I had to sit down. It... it... it was too much for me to take. I still shudder every time I think about it. She reminds me of it from time to time too. :( This torment is almost more than I can take. :(
Soooooo... that's why I'm going in April. Well, there's always the few days I'll be spending with my parent's too. :p

Deb, I have some of DW's barbie stuff to put out and some other things I've picked up. On the plus side, I'll be putting low starting bids on everything. :) My main focus is to get a bunch of stuff out of my office. It's kinda cramped in here now.

Deb,
Oh no! Bubble Boy, get well!!:(

A hot tub on the ice??? Hee hee hee. Pam, the extreme cold can drain cell phone batteries, which is why it may have died suddenly/unexpectedly.

Yeah, that's what DH said just before the phone shut down. His truck is parked over 3 miles away, so he's stuck there until tomorrow when they shuttle them into town to get their vehicles! So- I'll have to wait and hear all about their escapades when they get home.

DH took his ice shanty and was going to fish. The Scouts had games/activities/competitions to participate in until later this afternoon. I personally think they are nuts! This is the second time they have done it - but 2 years ago there was only 14 inches of ice on the lake and the low was -2º - heat wave!;)

Elaine,
I can't shovel snow - I have asthma!!:(

Jay,
I have a non-believer too! Actually, we all hate crowds and love history (except for DD, who said when she was 7, "Once you've seen one dead President's house, you've seen them all!")

So - I've had 1 trip to WDW and 3 to DL. We've been to 38 states with the kids plus Canada and the Bahamas.

Pam--38 states??? That's great!!! I too, am married to a non-beleiver. But, I've got him hooked on the whole "well, since we have the AP's it would make sense to do another big trip before they expire". Plus, I am hoping to sneak in a weekend trip with a girlfriend in June. DH wants to do the Richard Petty Driving Experience, and it that is what it takes to get him back, I'm all for it. My plan is that every time I am at the mall, I will get $5 or $10 in Disney Dollars, that way we will have some play money for next time!

Where in Canada have you been? We've done Nova Scotia, PEI, Cape Breton, The Cabot Trail, etc, and we have done BC and Alberta (All pre Bubble Boy, we are hoping to go back to Alberta when he is 9 or 10).

Mainly just Toronto and Ontario. There was a great African Drive-Through Safari somewhere up there that we did when the kids were 5 and 2 1/2!

Yeah - 38 states - DH has actually been in 40 states and I've been to 39 We've done Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, The Alamo, DL and California, Las Vegas, WDW, The New England States, Mackinac Island, Nashville, Mammoth Caves, tons of Civil War and American Revolution Battlefields, etc. Plus Chincoteague and Assateague, Outer Banks, Charleston, SC......

I can't type much because Cleo is in the way...

Pam, be glad you can't shovel, it isn't fun!!

I haven't traveled near as much as some of you. Not sure how many states, but I know I've only been to Canada and some countries in Europe. My sister asks me when I will take a vacation to a place other than WDW. She asks when I will go to Europe or some place like that again... I told her I travel to Europe every time I go to Epcot :p

Okay cat is really in the way now.

LOL!! :p Too funny!! 38 states?? Cool!!! :)

I wouldn't mind traveling more and seeing more of the US, but I have this thing about WDW..... How's this sound.... one trip to WDW, one trip somewhere else. One trip to WDW, one trip somehwere else. You know, alternate trips. :) Then again, the issue of affording these vacations is another thing entirely.

Beth....do I have to get out of my jammies? :(
DH just left for work :(

So....I may take a look at ebay  ...maybe I shouldn't. I think I may just go right to Annie's Charm Closet :)
I have money in my wallet....I might as well spend it :teeth:

Hope Ian feels better soon.

Pam...I don't know how the guys do it. I would be freezing my behind off!!
DS went snow camping one time up at the ski slopes and the plows in the morning shot all the snow right on top of their tents!! :(

Pretty Elaine :) Glad you have it and not us!!

Pam...asthma stops you from shoveling? Please don't tell DH that! ;)

Okay...think I'll go get dressed and clean this room........and hook up my new keyboard and mouse :)

Gorgeous photos Elaine! 'Course you already know how I feel about the snow. :p We Californian's just don't really get the chance to get sick of it. I can easily see where it would get old though.

You're 4 hours from Bay City?!?! Nooooooo!!!! Don't tell me thaaaat!!! Oh man.... if the competition wasn't already so close, I'd probably be seriously thinking about trying to go. Ack!!! Ack...and ACK!!!!

Did someone say.... HOT TUB!?!? :p

Pam, does it bother you when DD reads over your shoulder when you're Dis'ing? Cam tries to do that.... Tom knows better. Cam will come up behind me to "give me a hug", but all the while he's reading the screen. DRIVES ME NUTS! Have told him on repeatedly to knock it off!

Poor Bubble Boy. :( Did he eat anything yet Deb?

Sigh.... guess I should go do something productive.

Kim,
It's DH who reads over my shoulder - I just have to be careful that I'm not doing any hubby bashing or smut talk at the time!;) ( I confess, I try to sneak up on DD and read over her shoulder - she totally hates it and busts me for it every time!!)

Pam...I don't know how the guys do it. I would be freezing my behind off!!

Me, too! Actually, I think they probably are freezing their butts and everything else off!:(

Nancy,
That's too funny about your son's camping experience -so, was that his last winter camporee?

Actually - DH knows that mowing grass and shoveling snow causes a full blown asthma attack - and lets me off the hook for both of those chores!:Pinkbounc

Jay,
We got to most of those states because of work conventions - then we just added extra days and worked in a lot of sightseeing and touring!!

Good afternoon all!!

Well, dh is vacuuming and I have steak thawing for dinner...

Elaine, the snow is very pretty! I love to play in the snow...but dh doesn't want to work in it. But who has the really pretty yellow house? Definitely wouldn't be driving in that stuff!!

Beth, (I think) have fun with your little one. Sounds like a great plan....can I come?

Deb, bubble boy isn't feeling well? Awww.......feel better soon!!

Bonnie, so did ya win the charm from ebay?

Well, better go...dh is up here and I don't want him reading over my shoulder...:)

I'm afraid to come in...
Michele...Regan, Rachel and Robert? Robert is the eldest.:teeth:

And JAY has KIDS????

I hate over-the shoulder readers too.;)

I got a single rose last night,so I'm a very happy and hopelessly in love girl right now

Well all, I just chatted with Laura & John (yepod) at the meet. Boy I wish I could have been there. Apparently who I was going to ride up with (Juli) only had an inch there... not sure how we got so dumped with snow and they didn't... usually the other way around. So I got to chat with a Ya Ya sister and can't wait to see a few of yuou in the coming months!

Sorry to hear that Bubble Boy is sick again :( I hope he is feeling better soon!!!

Kimmie, yep only about 4 hours away from Bay City. I think it was about 250-300 miles awy. Not too bad at all :)

CS, a single rose is so sweet :) You sound so very happy & in love too!

PHEW!!! What a ketchup!!! Heloooo Ya Yas!!!!
How is everybody!!
Jennifer...hw was the Jungle Book? I LOVE the pics of the girls in your siggie AND all of the ones you posted!!! My fave is the one of all three of ya'll!!! That is a keeper!!!

Jeannie....untangled from your brush yet? Hee hee.... I have this thing that is sorta like a blow dryer/brush combination....good for uncoordinated hair stylists!!!:p

Sherry....YAY!!! Glad to hear dh is back at work!!!

Cam threw candy hearts at the girls? Hee hee hee....like Mother like Son!!!:p

OK now...we need to refresh the rules about Survivor talk. The last I remember ya'll were allowed 30 min after every show to discuss the who did whats...am I wrong? :)

Elaine!!! Tests were normal!!! YAY!!!!

OK about my Valentines....I sent a Valentine to every Ya Ya I have an address for....so if ya gave your address to Jennifer at Christmastime, you should have a Valentine from me!! Kim...we are on opposite coasts woman!!! Yours will just take a little longer but it's coming! Beth...good grief we're in the same state! You should have yours, and Jay...don't have your address but Happy Day after Valentines!!!

Kim...your Apolo pics are really good!

Awww....Ian is sick again? Debbie give him a hug from his Aunt Jodie please. About the tubes...both of mine had them. Caitlin wouldn't have needed them if they had taken out her tonsils first. David wouldn't have needed em if I had taken him to an allergist first! Live and learn! If I had 3 kids, number 3 would be a breeze!:) It is worth discussing tubes/allergies/tonsils with your ped. and an ENT. Most ENT's around here are quick to jump at tubes...explore all of your options first. But I don't blame you for not wanting to keep Ian on long term meds. It's one thing if it's a necessity....another if there is another way.

Karen lost 1/2 pound and Marilyn 7 1/2......GO LADIES!!!!! Arent we gonna be a bunch of skinny Ya Yas in July???:bounce:

Kim you're still feelin poopie? I'm sorry....the schnapps didn't work huh?

Elaine....gorgeous snow pics! All of that is coming this way!! They are talking about ice here starting soon , changing to snow with 3-6 inches by morning, then snow all day tomorrow...mixed with ice at times...with another 4-8 inches tomorrow...Monday...more snow!!!! OMG!!! Can you say...kids out of school for DAYS????? Help me.

Pam....a hot tub? On the ice??? BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Makes ya wonder how they survive to be an Eagle!!!! :p

OK...all ketchuped....you mothy people you!!!
