gideons wait times?

The VQ isn't used as often as it used to be. Even when you are called back, it can still be a 45 minute wait (ask me how I know). I went to the Orlando location this past trip, just to try something different. It is at least a 45 minute drive from Disney property and as @HopperFan mentioned, not on the way to the airport, it's basically a north and maybe west of it??? Definitely a detour. I was actually surprised at the OG location, it is basically a small stall in a market, almost like Faneuil Hall (for those familiar with Boston), but even smaller. There was no wait, but it was a decent drive without traffic. Glad we went, but I wouldn't make the trip again.

My waits have been closer to 20mins, even though I was told it was a 45min wait.

So it doesn't have all the great theme that the DS location has? Even though I go somewhat past that location coming and going to Disney, If it isn't the cool inside I wouldn't be stopping.

I'm honestly not sure how long the wait would have been but each time we tried the line stretched along the side of this building and ended about where I've marked with the star. Any idea how long our wait may have been?
In my experience if it’s not to the corner, it’s more like 15-25 minutes. Usually I end up chatting with someone in line and it passes quickly

The theming is there, but it's so much smaller and it's not an actual store. You go into the building and there are a bunch of divided "stalls" for lack of a better word. There are coffee places, vintage clothes, crafty stuff, ramen, poke - all inside. The space across from Gideon's seemed like a wine bar, but it looked like it went out of business and didn't really have anything in it (about 2 weeks ago). Gideon's does have display cases that look like old antiques and it is reminiscent of the DS location, but different. It's only about 10-15 feet wide. For some reason, I thought it was a stand alone storefront in some type of a creative artsy plaza. It is a creative space, but it's not a store with a door. I would not make a special trip again, I'd stick to DS (more variety there, too). And I can see parking being a challenge. We went on a weekday around 2pm and parking spots were few and far between, and no real street parking as there is a neighborhood behind it. The building it's in is on a main road, there isn't a lot of street parking out front and the lot isn't large. I'm glad I went, but unless I'm in the downtown area again for some reason, I wouldn't go back.

We went to this location a few years ago for my DS 16th bday when his request was cookies instead of cake. We must have driven around for 30 minutes looking for this place with Siri screaming at us that we had "arrived" (it didn't help there was construction in the area). We finally found a place to park and then wandered around the outside going "where?!" until we went in. It was an odd place and it was soooo out of the way. Next time I would just do the wait at DS. We just happened to have had a car rental that trip and I figured we save some time. Geesh...never again! But the cookies were plentiful. no wait, and yummy!

was at disney springs monday ate lunch at chicken guy headed to gideons for a cookie& some coffee, but upon turning the corner boom 45 minute wait! is the only strategy to get there at opening or whats the strategy to get in without waiting to long?
which garage is closer to gideons
