And here is another of Bubble Boy from last weekend when he was feeling punky

Which lends itself to a question. Did any of your petite Ya Ya's suck their thumbs? Bubble Boy did/does. He is at the point now where he will suck his thumb when he is going to sleep, or if he is super super tired. Any tips/clues, on how to get rid of this last bit of this habit? He does not do it in public, so there is no embarressment, I am just afraid for his teeth at this point.

We like to believe that Elder Yaya status comes due to our age, beauty, and wisdom Mary Rose, but unfortunately it was given to us because we are over 40 and thus over the hill to these junior yayas.

What they have found out though, is those over forty really know how to party!!

Deb, my DD sucked her thumb at bedtime and when she was trying to relax. Don't have any suggestions. Everything we tried didn't work. We already knew braces were in the future so that kept me from pushing it. She stopped when she got braces....She is now 15 and has not started sucking the thumb...Knock On Wood. Bubble Boy is adorable

Thumb sucking cures Debbie? BRIBE EM!!!! Worked for me!!! Caitlin had this habit and we wanted it to stop the summer before kindergarten. I made a chart with a piece of poster board and every few days had a "prize" listed that she would get if she had not sucked her thumb in that time. I made the chart for a month. The last "prize" was a biggie...something she reeeaallly wanted badly enough to give up her thumb. She got her "bitty baby" and never sucked her thumb again!!!

OK...caught up!!!
