Michele Ryan has been getting teased constantly all year long. He is gifted (top of his gifted class), smaller than most of the boys, not socially adept, Adhd, and very sensative and the kids have picked up on this. They are constantly picking on him. It came to a head this week when they a bunch of them dared him to do something. He almost did it but decided at the last minute not to because he knew he would get in trouble and it wouldnt make him part of the group anyway. Well these kids said he did what they dared him to do even though he didnt. They did this not once but twice. Now it seems teasing isnt enough and they are purposely trying to get him into trouble by trying to get him to do things and by lying outright. We had to have the school guidance counselor go in and talk with the whole class. The teacher has been wonderful about all of this and has done his best but more was needed. Ryan has been miserable and it HAS to stop. What they dared him to do and what they accused him of doing even though he didnt was serious and could have gotten him in a lot of trouble.

Im feeling better tonight than I have in the last few days. Hopefully I can get back to exercising. My stomach has been so bad I havent been able to since Sunday. I really miss my exercising. I just got some new pilates tapes today and Im going to try them out tonight.

That really stinks Karen. I still can't believe what happens in elementary school. You wouldn't think kids are capable of some of this stuff. I am glad the guidance and teacher are being good. I hope the teasing stops. I know what you mean about exercising. I did the treadmill last night, but I haven't done the firm since before my MRI. Got to get back doing that.

Michele...I am so sorry that you won't be able to make it to the meet...you know we will miss you! But you are making a good choice....and the school will be very lucky to get that 5th grade teacher!!! I have my fingers crossed!!

I don't know why I'm second guessing my Disney trip really. Maybe gettin a little chicken to do all of that traveling alone...and thinking it might be too lonely. I haven't ruled it out yet. Just this icky mood I've been in lately maybe. I'll probably still go....sure will miss you on that flight out of Orlando!!!

Um, now that I read that, it sounds like I'm a pig. But it still sounded funny when I typed it. Ok, well, so I don't eat half the time and cook the other half of the time. And no, I don't eat all the time. LOL... I spent months watching what I eat and lost 13 pounds. No way am I going to gain it back!

I have a tiny confession of sorts to make. I haven't been around as much lately because I have been feeling overwhelmed again. A few of my DIS buddies sort of know what is going on (okay like 2 of them), but since the new year I have been swamped at work. Well now I am so overworked I think that I am getting things similar to anxiety attacks. My heart starts racing and I just feel like I am about to "lose it" THat affects my DISing greatly too. I just don't have enough "in me" to do it. So now and then this week, I have shut PMs down and just only read what was going on instead of posting. It isn't anything any of you have done and I want to make sure you all know that if I am not around, it isn't you at all. I am working through some of this anxiety but it gets rough at times.

Sherry, eariler I saw the last hour of "Mummy Returns" and see that "Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring" is on right now. It'll repeat at 10pm my time on StarzWest, so I'll tape it then. LOL... plus if I tape it I can pause the tape and not miss anything (kinda handy with a 3 hour movie). Besides, the Stars are playing and they're showing the tape-delayed Nascar WC qualifying on FX. Sheesh... so many things to watch, so much to crank thru the surround sound, but so little time.
