Why does no one want my roadkill??? (I saw 10 dead deer alongside the road today in an 18 mile stretch - plus 3 raccoons and 2 possums.......... )

Must be that time of year. Time to stock up, Pam. Fill that freezer. That's enough to feed the family all winter.
Loads of dead possums around here too. Stupid critters. Must have seen 10....but no deer. Glad of that. I much prefer them running through the fields.

Nancy - we have an overpopulation of deer - I wish they would stay in the fields, too. Unfortunately urban sprawl is forcing the deer out of their natural habitat... Ten years ago (on our wedding anniversary!) we hit 2 deer at once and missed a third one! It was Dec., raining and we had the kids in the van - totally scary!!

How to get the roadkill and the kids home?????

We have a lot of dead deer here and it was very scary driving to work...back in the day when I had a job....because all of the deer seemded to live along the country roads and would just jump out of nowhere and scare the stuff out of me. I thought for sure I would hit at least one on the way to work. Thank goodness I never did....but there were plenty of new dead ones every day! So sad!!!!

We got the van and the kids home (hit the deer 1/2 mile from home) and DH took the truck back and by the time he got up there he saw two different trucks loading up the 2 deer!!

Hi all!

Thanks for all the PD, prayers and hugs for Junior's surgery. All went well. They took him in a 1/2 an hour late . I talked to the surgeon at 11:45, but Junior didn't wake up until 1:00! I was getting soo worried. I didn't get called back to his room until 2:00, and he was able to leave around 3:15. He's in alot of pain, but I picked up his pain pills and they seem to help for awhile. He has a funky sling that he'll have to wear for a month. He goes to the doctor on Thursday, and he'll have to start some PT soon, as well.

Gonna go relax and watch TV for awhile. I am so exhausted.

Sherry, been thinking about you and your DH all day. Glad to hear the surgery went well. Hope the pain subsides soon and recovery goes quickly. {{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}} for both of you!

Kristy, I simply LOVE that pic of you with the dolphin!!! I'm soooo jealous! Did they provide the wetsuit for you? I would love to do that sometime!
