Hey Betty! Good to see you. How are you feeling?? Hope you had a candy filled Halloween!

Hi Deena,

I am feeling much better. The shingles will put me through the ringer for over 2 weeks and then it took another 2 weeks for me to catch up with life.

Our Halloween was really nice. The weather was very warm. It was 70 degrees at 11 but we only had about 75 trick or treaters. We gave out microwave popcorn this year so that I wouldn't have any left over candy. Got to keep the weight off.

We have sooooo much candy it is ridiculous. I can open a small candy store. LOL

Had a nice little get together with the family tonight for Jared's b-day.

good post Halloween Morning to all,

We had a good time last night. We only went to a few houses (many in our neighborhood didn't have their lights on) but we got plenty of candy for one little munchkin! Jarrod liked getting the candy, but I think he was working on a degree as a census taker. Every house we stopped at he had to try and get his head in the door so that he could see if they had any dogs or cats. If they didn't have any, he had to ask why they didn't. Ugh!!

Anyway, when we finished we went to the mall to show him off to my Disney store friends. I am going to post the pics as soon as I can get my lazy butt upstairs to get the camera and down load the pics.

AFter we tricked or treated I went and helped my db and his dw move. They didn't get a uhaul truck (waitied until the day before they needed it..duh!) I didn't do anything (nobody wanted me to carry things down the stairs to their apt.) so I just put small things in boxes and drove to the other house. boy was I exhausted when i got home. I supposed to play scrabble or yatzee but just fell into the bed!! So today I'm going for the rematch!!!

Okay, off to try and get the pictrues down loaded!

Glad everyone else had a good evening. Kristy you are too cute in the Malificent costume. I think we need a picture with all of the Evil Queens of the yaya's. That could be an interesting thread!!!!

Nope Not since we've lived in this house (17 years).
Too far between houses, too far off the road, too dark.
Everyone (including us when the kids were younger) heads to the housing developments
Big shock coming from a neighborhood that had 150 or so every year!

31 degrees Nancy?? Buuurrrrr. Its in the 80's here and we have our a/c on. We took the boys a neighborhood where Michael has friends. We hit several houses but dh didnt get home til after 8 so we probably had about a hour til people started turning off their lights.
I went to Target this am to get Matthew a skull that lights up--like those ones with the electrical current that moves to your hadn when you touch it. But they didnt have any left. I saw a guy and his wife with their cart heaped with halloween stuff. I know my skull--and several others--were in there. Made me mad they were hoggin up all the stuff. Went to 2 other Targets and no luck there either. So no light for Matthew.

Hey, all!!! Just LOVE the Halloween costumes!! I really miss that. We don't get any trick or treaters here either, which I don't understand at all!! When I was a kid, we used to beg our parents to take us to apartment complexes--TONS of candy for not a lot of walking!!! Don't know why, but we've had nobody for the last 4 years, now. I guess times are changing and the kids are having to make do with private parties, school parties, church festivals and the malls. Sad to see some of the fun traditions of our youth die.........

It's a balmy 70º here today! I only wore a light jacket over my t-shirt when I went out this morning and had to take it off to come home!!! Some reasonably good pickin's at WalMart--got my stocking for the exchange!!! Now....what to put in it??!!!

...off the DIS for a few....can't "ketchup", either, cuz' we're getting ready for the last peewee football game of the season! (they lost last Sunday, so they are out of contention to be in the play-offs! ) Oh, well, maybe NEXT YEAR (like my Yankees!! )

Hi! jUST had TO visit the Yurt! An old BF lived in one and
cooked in a wok on the floor. Ahhh-those were the days....
giggle. You guys move a lot and I've been interested in
the locations of past parties but not like this one. Fun to visit
a yurt again. DH wants to build one on our land for weekend
retreats. Told him....been there, done that; build me a cabin!

YAY!!! I knew that I was going to have to make stops at Walmart for decorations and stockings!!!!!!!!

Matthew and I went furniture shopping today without much luck. I didnt see a lot I liked. One bed I saw was okay but I really liked the Dresser and Armiore but it seemed kind of expensive. Tell me if Im cheap or right. King bed--headboard/footboard & rails $1299
dresser and mirror $1299 and armiore $1499 (that was one the killer). Cheap (me) or expensive (furniture)??
