We've had horrible storms here. Lots of flooding, too. We've been lucky and haven't had any damage, but they did consider Lorain County a disaster area. More storms are expected today, too.

Hope that today's storms blow through Lorain County quickly and that the sun comes out again later this afternoon. The weather this morning was very pleasant. I'm putting in my order for more of the same for this weekend. The pleasant weather, that is.

Hi all! Officially made this a four day weekend. I wanted to give myself a shot of making it up to John's this weekend so by doing this I have a slightly better chance of making it up there. I do think my family has made plans for the entire weekend though We'll see though

Rose Mary, I hope they get your system fixed. I totally understand what it can do to your day not to be able to do real work!

Sherry, it seems that Ohio is getting hit badly again this year We are lucky where I live and we are more on the top of a hill so no worries specifically for me for flooding, but I hope these stop soon!!! We are in for more today as well... hail coming our way as well most likely. I love tornado season... thank goodness these storms only seasonally last through beginning of July

Shep--sent you a pm. Made a supply run to walmart last night for last minute trip stuff. Hopefully it was the last one but somehow I doubt it, lol.

Luckily Nancy staying at the DVC resorts we have a washer & drying right in our room. Told the boys--including ds who is the worst overpacker in the bunch--to take about 5 shorts/shirts and I can wash our stuff at BWV before we move on. And for our family and group size I guess I just love chaos, lol, because thats what it is most of the time.

Sorry to hear about all the flooding in Ohio. Sounds so much like what we went thru here last fall--and that was BEFORE Hurricane Isabel dropped in for a visit!! Funny/sad flood story on the news Sunday night. Some lady pulled out of her driveway (in a rather upscale section of DC) and started down the street. A cicada flew into her car thru the open window and cruised past her face at very close range. The women was understandably startled and instinctively batted the thing away. Only she used both hands! LOL!! No hands on the wheel and the car veered off the road and struck a fire hydrant, sending water gushing everywhere! By the time they got the water shut off, the entire neighborhood was flooded and coated with a couple of inches of mud from the new construction in the area!! Gotta love them cicadas!!!

Tara, keep those knees together!! Sorry to hear the BP is not behaving and causing so much concern. But glad to hear the doc will not let it go all the way to your due date. Understand your frustration with having to stay down and all, too. Hang in there, it's not much longer now!!

Karen's family has a new addition, too?!! Congrats!! Whoo-hooo, I just LOVE puppies!! Better buy stock in the paper towel companies--I have a feeling you'll be using a lot and stock values will soar!!! Congrats, too, on the weight loss! Keep up the good work!!

the Shep family is headed for the west coast now, huh?! I just checked the weather for that area and they have an even better forecast than we do!! Highs in the mid to upper 70s, lows to the mid 50s and no more than 10% chance of rain any day in the next week! Should be picture-perfect for them!!

Oooooo, Nancy!! Don't have to keep that secret much longer!! I know I'd have trouble not talking about it either!! Shall we call out the Duct Tape Patrol??!! Dizzy is pouting--she really wanted Lily to help her with her hair. Last I heard, she was grumbling, "at least Lily has EARS to put her hair bows on! I have to use scotch tape!!" Next thing you know, she's going to be demanding a Dolly Parton wig!!!

Guess I best get back to work. Another fun day of research for me, but at least I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have definitely had my fill of fibre channels, maximum throughput, performance degradation and multiple protocols with simultaneous connectivity!

Hmmm... no cicadas here and no sunshine... well I think I'll take the flooding over the cicadas since I won't have to deal with it But it might be bad for farmers at this point... who knows. We just haven't had good weather the last couple of years... we had flooding terribly last summer and I can't remember when it was but in one area it flooded and then froze... made for an awful mess. Just as some areas are cleaning up after last year they are doing it again this year... then again I guess this is perferable to the droughts of the past... blech

Bethie, I shouldn't laugh but I did... that cicada story was amusing to me. I am sorry it caused so much trouble though.

Hi Liz!! I'm here... I hid at mom's yesterday. She wanted to watch Fellowship of the Ring and Two Towers again, so that she would be ready to see Return of the King this weekend. It was hell, but somebody had to watch them with her. It was the least I could do for her. Ahhh... the sacrifices in life we must make.....

Hubby is rennovating around here... new siding and windows! Yay!! I love the new windows!! Feels like a new house!! It was soooo overdue! Next window in line for replacing is going to be replaced with a garden/box window! Yippee!! Only bummer part is we'll have to order it. Bleh. I hate waiting.

Bats! Ack!! But, since they eat mosquitos, I guess I'll forgive them for being icky. Still freak me out though!

Hello all you crazy Ya Ya people! It's me--Liz's lurking friend JellyrollsKaren. Some of you have already had the displeasure of meeting me either in the chat room, in person, or through a PM.

I started lurking here the day of Liz's surgery out of concern for her. She mentioned that Beth would be updating the Ya Ya folks, so I looked here for an update in case Liz had forgotten to bring my phone number with her. So, I started lurking out of concern for Liz.

Then Liz started telling me to go read the threads about her mom on this thread. So, I guess my lurking for concern of Liz turned into lurking at the instruction of Liz.

Then, the lurking turned into a game. See, one of my hobbies is to annoy people. Again, some of you may already know about this hobby (like people who happened to be around when I talked about how the best place to get Mexican food is Taco Bell, right, Deena?). I enjoyed driving Liz crazy by telling her about lurking on the thread, and then complaining to her when she would post about me lurking and not talking about me in her threads.

And that leads me to today. I figure I'd stop lurking and say hello (mostly because I'm bored with bugging Liz--it's not a challenging enough hobby--it's too easy to annoy her). So, hello everyone. I'm JellyrollsKaren (one word, capital J, capital K).

During a recent conversation, Liz asked me why I wasn't part of the Ya Ya thread, or the Angels, or one of the other groups on the CB. I guess I just never felt the need to find my place in the DIS--I guess the entire DIS is my group Plus, I'm painfully shy, and I don't want to invade anyone's territory. But I'm here because of Liz. So blame her.

Liz, just for the record, it's Jellyrolls. Not Jelly Rolls. And it's Scotty, not Scottie. I sent Liz a CD featuring my favorite Jellyrolls piano guy Scotty. Don't forget to watch the videos.

Hi yaya sisters and bothers (although I think one bother is in California right now!)

It's long lost Suzanne...I haven't posted in nearly three weeks. I've gotta ketchup on so much, but I can't do it right now.

We found a builder in Florida. We looked at a model in Lakeland and fell in love with it. The next three days were spent looking at their other communities and another builders (hated it and the smarmy closing cost practices). Did some research on the builder (yay internet!) and got lots of GOOD word of mouth.

I go back down in a week to look at two communities this builder is putting up a half hour from my store, get a post office box, meet with the people at CARD to get Neil in the system and all that last minute stuff.

The house is on the market-along with 7 other houses in our section of the community! So, what normally sells in a few days is probably gonna take a couple weeks...yikes. It's rough knowing that someone came through and not hearing anything! It's also rough trying to do something to get more packing done and have to leave in the middle of it.

Happy Birthdays to all who celebrated...happy Anniversary, happy Mother's day (oh, I didn't miss that one, but a second greeting isn't bad)

I miss you guys...been hard not getting in and spending more than ten minutes on the pc...but I will ketchup on the 100 pages of posts sometime soon.

You will find, we are a great bunch of people who ALL like to annoy one another...some of us more than others at times!!! But most imporantly, we all care about eachother a great deal!! I am sure sure have seen much of that by now.....so cozy up and get settled in!!!

There are lots of shy folks in here...just ask about any one of us if we are shy, ans we will all ell you that we are! I have yet to really meet a shy YaYa...I really hink htey are non existant...or we have all jsut really gotten comfortable with one anohter that when we finally do meet.....there is really nothing to be shy about!! The YaYA'a are great family!! And I mean that with all of my heart!!

Now don't let that Nekkid Ritual Dance bother you!! Todd and Amanda will tell you they did theirs....but NONE ofus remember seeing it! Maybe you could join them afterall this is one big happy familiy!! And don't let Pam and her dance of the 7 Veals frighten you....it is a little scary at first, but you too will be talking Roadkill Talk before you know it!!
