Went to get our free scoop at Baskin Robbins last night. Tried the new Fiona's Fairytale (from Shrek2) and it was really good. The boys all got the new Shrek one and Junior got some banana one.

AI.....he's finally gone! I'm sorry, he's a sweet kid and all, but man, he just isn't AI material. I'm sure he'll do some kind of album in the future.

Supposed to hit 78 today! WOO HOO!!!

Which means....my summer exchange is going bye bye..... which means is a few short days someone will have a big box headed to their house in #$%&&#(@) You did not think I was gonna blow it did you?


More good news....surgery is scheduled for May 14th....7:30 am. I will be in the hospital for a few days. My mom will be coming for 2 weeks.... to help out! That is gonna be the hardest part of all. Now mind you, I do love my mom. But she is a bit of a control freak. Last time I was in this situation, she changed my whole house around while al I could do was lay in bed and beg her not to move anymore furnature and leave the things in my cupboards as they were! Wish me luck!!!

John, thanks for the words of encouragement. I totally understand what you mean about how you think they have shortend your achillies. It has something to do with being in a cast for so long! Good luck with your therapy and keep up the good work. Eventually the hard work does pay off. Isn't it amazing how hard it is to learn to walk all over again? One would think it would not be so hard.....think again huh? Before long you will be hoping and skipping with the best of them....

Darn it! I forgot about free scoop night! Sherry, you must have saved a bundle taking all those boys on free scoop night!! I am amazed at how you do it with all those boys! I think I would never make it with one...let alone 4 and a hubby! Kudos to you!! The boys are great and are lucky to have such a great mom! Keep up the good work!

Jeannie, I'll ask a couple family memebers about the silicone. I think though, the benefit is that things don't stick as easily to them? I think that is what it was and being more flexible, some things are easier to get out. But like I said, I am a klutz and when I bake it is metal or glass for me. I might have to get a muffin pan just for the heck of it though

Bakeware....metal for cookie sheets and muffins pans, all else is glass. I am also extremely picky on my cookie sheets, can only order them online from one supplier. Todd just rolls his eyes, but doesn't say a word since he wouldn't want to ruin his chances of getting cookies again.

Going to the cemetary after work today with my brother and maybe my sister. I just keep trying to picture my Mom celebrating her birthday with God. Wouldn't that be wonderful! Of course what gifts would you get since there are not needs or wants in heaven, you already have it all.

summer exchangee.....althought they might go nicely with the hat!!!

My car is going in to be relieved of a few little dings! Greg has a hardtime with the term "used" car! Yesterday the steering wheel was refinished and it has yet to have the CD changer installed...so.......there will be at least one more shop day! But I am thinking that can wait until I have my surgery and can't drive!!

OK, had to get an address and now I am off to the post office! The box is all sealed and ready to go....so Elaine, cross mine off the needs to be sent list! Oh, it is NOT going priority!!!! So it will take a few days to get to it's destination!!!!!!

Oh Liz, {{HUGS}} I would guess that it makes her feel as if she is contributing. You might buy padlocks on the cupboards so she can’t get to them however. The furniture, well tell her not to move anything because when you start to be mobile again you can’t relearn the furniture pattern as that will make traveling around your digs much more difficult and may cause further injury. Like changing the furniture on a blind person. Your feet need to move around injury-free and not relearn the patterns during night time strolls. (Do ya think this might work?)

Pics…not sure about today. Kind of nice outside. I want to be there. Maybe this weekend for sure or I will never get it done.

Suzanne...talking about your bracelets and not being able to wear them at work, I just realized that I only have one pair of maternity pants that are not black!!! I always wanted to make sure I had pants to wear when I had to work and now that is all I have. I went into my store last night to harrass the folks and to look around. On the one hand I really miss the job! The people (guest and cast alike) but on the other hand it is such a relief to not have to work every weekend. They are still asking me if I'm coming back next christmas! I hate to break the news but I'm looking forward to being able to rest, bake cookies with my boys, shop on any saturday I want! hehehe

Elaine..we are leaving on Friday, november 12, on a late flight so we can go straight to bed and not have to feel like we have wasted a day, and then we will be leaving on Nov. 21. I am putting every penny I have into my savings account so that I won't feel broke afterwards!! And thanks to my yaya family Ethan will be the best outfitted baby there!!!

Liz..I'm feeling pretty good. Unfortunately my cravings have kicked in and they don't mesh with my diabetes I really just want ice cream right now. I need to find a sugar free one that I can eat so taht it will be okay! My last class is this weekend and then I can rest...well after mother's day weekend, then graduation weekend, oh and then I have to get ethan's room ready...the crib set up the curtains hung the crap cleaned out of the room that doesn't belong there. Oh and after we get out of school I have a week of inservices. so I think I will get my rest on or around June 25. But then again that is about two weeks from my due date and they may end up takign him early if he is too big!! So I'm planning on being able to really rest on or after June of 2022 (but then again that would still leave Ethan with 4 years of college...so lets say May of 2026!!! hehehhehehehhe)

gotta run and do real work!!

Todd Im with you, kind of spoiled by the outside water and ice place. We had to buy one of the ones that you could lock the water and ice because Evan and Connor like to go up to the fridge and push the levels for the ice and/or water to come out.

Love all of the Chicago pictures

Hope everyone is warming up. We have cooled down to 88 today but it is very windy. Gusting up to 35 mph.

I am with Nancy like thinks nice and easy. Jack likes the gadgets. Keeps looking at those fancy fridges with rolling shelves and all kinds of gadgets. He handles all of the electronic and computer stuff. I would be soo lost without him.

Liz glad your foot will be fixed soon. Hope you are able to make a speedy recovery.

Refrigerator check in here--Old, very old. Waiting for it to die before we get another. No ice, no water. We just go to the faucet and voila! (We have a water treatment for the house installed so think that works ok for us.)
