Suzanne...many thoughts going out to you and your family on the loss of your brother. I'll give you a funny...as I was reading your post about the inernment I had a momentary lapse and thought your brother must have been a veterinarian (vets). It took me a minute and then I got it!! Safe travels.

Amanda and Todd good thoughts going out to your family. I hope all is well with Todd's dad.


I did a little experiement with my blood sugar today because I was not convinced it was out of control. I ate the breakfast I had been eating prior to the diagnosis ( a package of pop tarts and a glass of chocolate milk) before I ate the sugar level was 85. Perfect for a fasting blood sugar. An hour after i ate it shot up to 200 . I realized the dr. is correct and I do have to be careful. Jar is feeling better, not great, but better.

today was my last day at TDS. I was fine until I clocked out and took my name tag off to leave on the manager's desk and I just started crying like a baby. It finally hit me that this was indeed my last day and that I was leaving a family!! I'll see everyone again tomorrow night b/c they are having a going away/baby shower for me tomorrow night.

Gotta go work on a baby blanket for a baby shower I'm going to in a few weeks. So I'll check in again tomorrow!

Rosemary....Yep I still feel GREAT!!! Cold is getting better and I am in NO pain from my fibromyalgia. Even the massage therapist I go to remarked at how much better my back and neck are since I started back on the Prednisone. Dh and I and my doc are gonna have a long talk. I need to find out how really bad the long term side effects are using low dose Prednisone and balance that on the quality of life I have off the Prednisone. It is actually like night and day. I actually bent down yesterday and touched my toes something I have not been able to do since I got sick which kicked up the fibromyalgia. I can actually PLAY with my children now. I can walk without searing pain when I first get up and for the first fifteen feet that I walk. Im sleeping now. The numbness in my hands is gone as is the pain making it easier for me to type which is important in my job. I wish I could adequately express how really good I feel right now.

Awwwww Tara HUGGIES kiddo. It must have been so hard to leave today. Im glad Jar is feeling a little better. I will say prayers that this is over quickly for him.

LOL I have dueling crockpots going right now. Im making spagetti sauce to freeze and a turkey tenderloin in the other one for dinner tomorrow night. Problem is now I have to start something for tonights dinner. We are having shrimp! YUM

Dad will have a 3-4 bypass heart surgery tomorrow morning...
Mom is spending the night with us and we will be going back tomorrow morning a little before 7...
We originally thought/hoped it was indegestion but the pain never went away..My dad was awake during everything and they said we got to the hospital in good time....I have wonderful inlaws that are keeping the girls for us..It was really strange to see tears in my brothers eyes for the first time.

Tara: At least you know the doc is right now. for your last day. Been there done that only 8 months ago and still miss my friends in Ga. have fun at your party/shower. We want a full report.

Nice to hear you got to get out today Nancy. Yes, do tell what kind of flooring are you thinking.
We went with the ceramic tile (if it ever gets finished ).
I really like it but, it's very chilly on your feet in the winter. And I have very clumsy men, when you drop something glass it shatters all over the place.

Rose Mary is addicted to another game. I'm playing Word Whomp.
That is what I am worried about with ceramic tile...someone dropping something and having it shatter all over. We are considering tile for the living room, too.

We have the tile (or will, I recommend having someone else put it in)in the living room also but, I have a big area rug down over it.

That is what we plan on doing, too....putting a big area rug down.
Luckily my FIL is putting ours in for us.

Rosemary thats EXACTLY how I feel but I cant put it in words LOL. Maybe I could take the smilies to the doctors with me ROFL!! Im just in sucn a happy place right now. Amazing how I went from seriously down in the dumps and crying to just so happy I could dance within a couple of days and because of a simple pill. I know my doctor is going to give me a major hard time because he really doesnt like Prednisone because of its side effects. Part of the reason Im taking my dh with me. I want him to be able to tell the doc about the change in me from his point of view.

Kristy I LOVE your scrapbooking pages. I bought a kit to start but havent had the time or the get up and go to do anything with it. I think thats something I can start tomorrow since Im feeling so well and not exhausted.
