Morning, yayas!

Long day ahead of me...DM visit at the store today, and then I go help @ Bath and Body Works with their inventory. Should be fun, though.

Lainey, how did Luis like the haircut? My wonderful husband didn't talk to me for a week after I cut 10 inches off a few years back. In retaliation, he shaved his head...well, he THOUGHT it was revenge. He had to suffer through bitter cold with no hair:p which didn't bother me, lol!

Eeyore, yes I'm looking at special ed info for my older son. The central Fl counties have spring break this week, so I can't just pick up the phone and ask. Lots of fun doing all the legwork, NOT. I'd been centering my work on moving to one county, but that may not be feasible. I have talked to the autism specialist in that county, and only had to send her the IEP.

The illness you describe is the crud that was in my house last month. I worried when I got it, too, because I'm already on 4 inhalers, but it wasn't TOO bad.

Welcome back, Liz! Do tell of your wonderful trip.

Nancy, that bear was cute. Due to the allergies, my bears are in bags in the basement, so I'll enjoy the pictures of yours.

Amanda, It's good that you can be that determined. I go through my kids toys and say "but Mom got them that", or "I spent so much money on this" and it stays...but hubby went through the playroom with the boys the other day and they culled out about 3 boxes worth of toys! I'm not looking in it, because I'll be the one to pull stuff out!

Hi to everyone else. I need to be a later tater and hop in the shower!

Suzanne

Karen...hope you are feeling better. MIL feels better now that the dr told her to just cut down on the sugar. She admitted that she should have called her SIL, who go her worrying.

Sherry...sorry about you not being able to watch the baby anymore:( Hope you are feeling better today. Glad the boys were good yesterday. Mandy Ellen loves books. She is now reading some. She doesn't go anywhere without a book. Here backpack is so heavy, I don't know how her little body carries it all.

Elaine...can't wait to see the new hairstyle. I am letting mine grow out. My sister was nice enough to point out a gray hair to me this past weekend:rolleyes:

Tina...my girls still have plenty of stuffed animals:rolleyes: I may go through the toy box this weekend. I keep asking them when they want to get rid of their kitchen set and other big items. It isn't working yet. I wouldn't mind having them if they actually played with them:rolleyes:

Tara...sorry about the gd, but it will all work out. I am what they consider borderline diabetic, which means controlled by diet and exercise. It really isn't that bad. Just eat small meals all day long. I am suppose to eat 5 small meals a day and one big meal (dinner). The key is to not go longer than 3-4 hrs without eating something.

Yesterday was a down day for me, so is this morning. Praying today to be thankful for everything I have been given.

Amanda

Suzanne: Have fun and Bath and Body! Sounds like fun.

Elaine: I thought about bringing some eggs with me but, I didn't. I'm practicing my willpower :teeth:

Morning, everyone!! Extremely busy with work!!:( I probably won't have the opportunity to check in until the weekend - when hopefully I'll be allowed up for some air.....

Everyone stay safe, happy, and warm!!!!!!:sunny: ::yes::

Ya know - I really DO have mad love for you all!!:hyper:

hours of sleep, I am ready to blab about my trip! As you all know the first part of the trip was spent between my sister's and my mom's. That was very trying, to say the least. I worked at my sister's office the last few days out of boredom, so that was good. My mother tends to be VERY smothering and my sister's house was gross. They have a dog that they just adore...that part I can understand....I am guilty of that as well. But she is an outside dog that comes in the house whenever she pleases and plops where she wants. Like in beds and on couches...with all of her bugs and dirt!!! I was hoping to not have to stay there and did pretty good until the end of my "family" vacation. The two kids wanted to stay with Grandma and Grandpa near the end of my trip and it was their spring break, so we traded beds. All I can say is ICK!!!! It was during this time that I had also asked for prayers and Pixie Dust for my sister. This was another huge fiasco. I was woken up at 2 am the morning of my birthday to hear fighting and breaking glass. My sister's jerk of a husband decided he was going to leave my sister. No rhyme or reason or warning anytime before this incident...he was out drinking, got mad that my sister called to see where he was, came home, broke the ceiling fan light and then "packed" his stuff and left. Me and my sister were up pretty much the rest of the night trying to figure things out. It was a really ugly evening. The preface to my birthday was not going to well. But at that point, I felt terrible for my sister and was incredibly homesick myself, so the birthday thing did not really bother me. Besides, I really was planning on celebrating the next day anyway!! So, Kim's hubby comes home, they talk, things still aren't good but they are going to counseling. My sister thinks her marriage is through. I kind of hope it is true!!!! She could do so much better for herself!!! Of course I never told her that....but me and my other sister both agree. Anyway, that is the ugly story there...but on to happier moments....Fast forward to Thursday at about 11 am...I finally see Greg!!!!:teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth: Boy have I missed him. There is lots of hugging going on and then it hits me....we are at the World together.....time to stop all of this nonsense hugging and go and hit the parks. We drop our bags off, pick up the ECV and we are off to the Magic Kingdom. Somewhere in the sequence I did tell my mom and step dad goodbye and thanks.....

This trip was a trip of firsts for us, first time at the Pop Century, first time with an ECV, first time seeing Wishes, first DIS Meet, (see I can schedule them and actually go to them) and the list goes on and on!! Pop Century was fabulous! It was a lot of fun. Perfect for two maybe three people. But perfect for us. It is a ways out so it did take a while to get to anywhere. We never really had to wait for a bus, but with the ecv we were always the first loaded...but to be honest, we usually were toward the front of the line even if I didn't have the ecv. If you ever have to use an ecv or travel with an ecv, I highly recommend getting one from Walker. I would do that again in a heartbeat. And I was really not looking forward to this trip in an ecv. Well now, I would not do it any other way!!!

Magic Kingdom was the first stop! Boy was that park packed. It was a bit hard to get around with the ECV, but doable. I think it would have been fine had it not been peak season!! We did a few rides and I knew I had to meet KathyTX at the Dole Whip stand. We had a little trick up our sleeve to play on Greg. Greg has become very accustomed to being called a movie star while in Disney as he slightly resembles Jonathan Silverman. He was even primping a bit to the excess just in case someone thought he might be a movie star. I laughed and told him, "No one has called you a movie star"....his reply was YET!! If he had any clue that my new DIS friend Kathy was going to embarrass the crap out of him, he might not have made that comment!!

So at the Dole Whip stand as scheduled at a moment or 2 before three, Greg gets in line to get me a Dole Whip, I see Kathy quietly eating hers and wave and make sure she knows who Greg is. Of course there is a cast member close by and Kathy makes sure to clue her in on what is about to happen....just in case she wants to play along.....and she does!!! So out of nowhere Kathy is jumping and screaming that there is a movie star in the Dole Whip line...is it really Jonathan Silverman? Greg's face is priceless, I am about ready to pee my pants and Kathy and the CM are really getting into this whole Jonathan Silverman thing. Kathy puts her arms around Greg and asks the CM to take her picture and now the whole line is in awe!!! Greg is red with embarrassment and now I really think I should have worn a Depends because this is just too funny!! Now I am on vacation!!! Let the fun begin!!!

That is the first three hours of my real vacation and it is wonderful. The rest of the evening isn't too bad either!! We eat in the castle for dinner. The server brings me a birthday cupcake, we watch Wishes for the very first time ever!! Yes, it makes me cry!!! We see Spectro, a favorite of mine and then head off to Pop Century, which seems like a million miles away this time of the night, fill our refillable mugs and call it a night!!! That my friends is day one!!!

Day two later......off and running to physical therapy!!!! Hope you enjoy my first installment of the trip!!!!

   ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

I want to see the picture of Kathy and Greg......I also want to know what Greg thought when he found out the truth:eek:

I want to see them too!!! And all Greg said after that was "Your's is coming!!" So I think I am going to be owed a big one!! But he really liked Kathy and was OK with the joke! He is a good sport!!!!

Good morning, Ya Yas!! It is a beautiful SPRING day today, :sunny: and headed for 60º!!!! FINALLY!!!! Weekend forecast is looking extremely good too!

Awwww, Karen, so sorry to hear you're sick again! Hope you will be able to take it easy and get better quick! Sending prayers, a truckload of PD and a big

Hey, Pam, mad love right back at ya!!!  Hope the work goes smoothly for you and you are finished in record time!

All this talk of toys and stuffed animals!! DH is the big packrat in our family. When he first moved in, he had boxes of his kids' toys that he had been saving for years (the boys are both in their 20s!). Nothing like rusty Matchbox cars and mouldy books
 Then there's all the Disney Poohgrams and Pooh toys he got me when we were dating, not to mention his collection of Disney beanie babies.......They are packed away in storage bins because of the dust they collect that we are both so allergic to. But I don't dare get rid of them!!

Liz, what a magnificent trick to pull on Greg!!! That is positively hysterical and I can't wait to see the pix!! Sounds like you had a fun-filled first day, that's for sure!

Lainey, I about had a stroke when I read that you cut your hair!! I immediately thought you meant really short and was so relieved later when you said it was still below your shoulders!! I was afraid I wouldn't recognize you in Chicago!!

Nancy thinks she needs a hair make-over before Chicago, too?! I want to know what the prize is before I PM my idea.............not sure if I want to enter the contest :teeth:

I'm changing my hair too! Letting the natural color and grey grow out. So I will be 2-tone for awhile  Can't keep the color close enough to natural and I hate the way it gets brassy.

Rose Mary, we have a little candy basket for the guys here at work and I struggle with my willpower daily to keep my fingers out of it! VP is on vacation now and left 6 chocolate eggs rattling around in the bottom---somebody had to eat them!!!:o Nestle Crunch eggs--YUM!!!

Suzanne, since you close on Thursdays, I'll come get my Disney Dollars tomorrow! Got any new stuff for us big kids or maybe a great sale??!!! :teeth:

Well, gotta pay a few bills here at work and then balance my own checkbook. I'll check back with ya'll later!! Have a great day!!:wave2:

Good Morning! :wave2:

I slept in till 10:00. :bounce: :bounce:

I still have a stuffy nose and an icky throat. Blech.

Liz, I was LOL at your prank on Greg. That is too funny. :teeth: Can't wait to see pics. :teeth:

Elaine, I'm sure you'll love your hair after a couple days. Once you play around with it for a bit, you'll be fine. :)

Hmm....must think of a new style for Nancy. I have looked at sooo many hairstyle mags it isn't even funny. I'm thinking of going with a bob. Kinda scared, though.

It is a rainy, dreary day here today. Boo Hiss!

Good morning.

Great story Liz......also can't wait for pictures.

Karen hope you feel better soon.
Sherry....how are you feeling today?

Rainy, ugly day here.

Beth...I'm not Pam ;) prize will be good....no roadkill.
Believe it or not, I have not been to a hairdresser for ....ohhh.....you don't even want to know

Sherry...sneated.....please look for a hairstyle for me too. ;)
But it has to be simple. I like LOW maintenance.
Hope you feel better soon, Sherry.

Karen hope you feel better soon! Liz Im glad you had such a great time!! Nice to have you back. Kathy is so nice and I bet that was a hoot watching the whole thing.
I just paid off our Poly room yesterday so for our trip our resorts are paid for, our airline tickets are paid for and we already had AP's for Universal and Disney so all I will have to pay on vacation is food and activities like our Illuminations cruise and such. I dont want to come home to any more bills than the ones we already have. And I made many ps ressies--we usually only make one or 2. Is it May yet?? lol
Hi Pam, Amanda, Sherry, Nancy, Elaine, Beth, Rose Mary, Poohzane, John Boy

Hi all... checking in here quickly... been busy learning a bunch of stuff for a new ckt type.

Suzanne, good luck with all the school stuff ofr the kids. That sounds like a lot of work, but should be worth it in the end. Luis seemst o like the new haircut. It's still long by many people's standards (industry as well since it is below shoulder length) so he's okay with it. If I had cut more off, he'd probably shave his head too :(

LOL, Amanda, I got my frist gray hair on my 25th birthday. I just plucked on out this morning as well. They come and go here so I will keep plucking until it becomes too much ;)

Rose Mary, forget the will power... bring the eggs :p

Pammy came in and out, had an opportunity to tease me, but didn't... she must be *really* busy

Liz, I wish your sister all the best. i do hope her marriage works out for the best. And too funny about Greg and Kathy... how long did you keep it up before telling him :teeth:

Howdy Bethie!! I was beginning to worry about you!!!! Sorry that I scared you there for a minute. Just remember really short to me is shoulder length hair. It's not much below my shoulders either, but it is still there. I think I want it about an inch longer, but it will grow :teeth:

Huh, I guess Nancy didn't go for the buzz cut ;) Good luck hunting for yours Sherry... it's always hard to find something you like. You could be brave like me and just let them do what they want! I told him longer than shoulder length & no bangs. He did what he wanted to do.

Oh Nancy, I am not sure what your hair is like now but this one is easy to deal with I can tell. I can blow dry it straight, flip the ends out a little if I want or I cna leave it wavy like today. I played with it a little last night. I like the soft layers in it as well.

Deena, glad to hear it is all paid off... now you just have to wait to go!!!

Dreary day here too... need to figure out what to do for lunch as well.

Suzanne...Todd is the one that likes to pull things back out of the boxes. There was on time I cleaned and drove to Goodwill before he got home;)

As for long hair...everytime I threaten to go short I get the threat about him getting a buzz:rolleyes: I still don't understand the whole guy vs. long hair thing.

Liz...hope you are prepared for Greg's retaliation.

Me!! Thank you Tina for the wonderful basket with all of the goodies!! Barkley thanks you too!! It looks as though I am going to be able to OD on Peeps, my favorite!!!! I will have a sugar buzz for quite some time if I eat them all....not to mention all of the other candy that is in that basket too!! Barkley says thanks too...he loves bones!!!

On top of a BUNCH of candy there were the cutest little towels, the most adorable bunny glasses, a Minnie Pez Dispenser, my favorite flowers, a stuffed bunny, a very cute note pad, a cool light up pen and more candy!!! I love the basket too!! How cute!!

Thank you so much Tina, I loved everything!! What a lovely basket!!!!!! I will be more than happy to share my candy too, as there is A LOT of it to share!!!!!

Well, off to take a nap...yes, I need a nap even after 12 hours of sleep!!! It is the perfect rainey, dreary day for a nap!!!! I will try to get installment 2 done later in the day!!! I think I have a touch of jet lag.......

Thanks again!!!!!!! And I am so glad my package was not moving when I got it!!! Whew!!! I escaped Road Kill once again!!!:teeth: :teeth:

Oh, and who wanted Bunny Toppers? Please pm me with your address if you wanted them... I bought a bunch and will get tehm out in the mail this week!!! I have extras too if anybody needs them!!!

:wave2:

Sounds like a great basket, Liz. :)

Amanda, Junior loves long hair, too, but he really likes my hair short now, too. :teeth:

Gotta run! We're heading to a friends house. Helping her pick out a CD burner, then to her house so DH can install it, and she's going to do my eyebrows. :teeth:

:rotfl: he's the one that will look silly...not you ;) :) Go ahead...cut it!!! :teeth:

Okay...it's taken me two hours to read 2 or 3 pages worth here :o Let's see if I can remember everything.

Liz...great story about tricking Greg. Glad to have you back!!!

Nancy...we need to see what it looks like now to give you ideas of new styles. I got mine cut...it's a little more than chin length and red color with blonde highlights on top of that...so they look like copper. I've had gray since I was 16

Sherry...sorry to hear that Hunter will no longer be joining you.

Poohzanne..hope you have fun and B&BW.

Karen & Sherry hope you feel better.

No Elaine....kimmie isn't a poopoo head "yet" :teeth:

Pam  tell them you don't have time to work

RM....SURVIVOR night!!!! :hyper:

Deena...YAY..congrats on paying off your Poly reservation!

Beth...have you been keeping up with SG-1...did you see the season Finale last week??? Seen previews for the new show Atlantis???

Oh so glad to hear many of you also sleep with stuffed kids. Now I know we're not the only ones :) :)

Hope that's everyone cause I can't remember anything else. Is it 5 yet???

Hey what was that? I got momentarily blocked out of here?

Yay, basket!:) And yay trip report! More !:)

Nancy...you gettin' a buzzcut? I heard Washingtonians were progressive.:) (She'd look gorgeous bald.;))

I don't get the male genders preference for long hair either...is their some primal reason for it? Does long hair signify a more fruit-bearing and fertile mate? Mine's longish with layers and longish bangs that slide to the side but there are times I go shortish with layers...actually I think I prefer long too...:o... but I miss the days of wash'n'go-***. The time it takes to condition and blowdry...whooo!

One quick question for you ladies (and bothers)...what type of cookware do you have...stainless steel, copper, hard-anodized aluminum...do you like it? Why? (I know, scintillating topic...ignore if you must.;))

Toodles!

Peeking in... will reply to all else later.

Jeannie, I have stainless steel with an aluminum core (All Clad). I get it because stainless is the best for not tarnishing (some others do) and it resists bacteria growing (like cast iron... oh the thoughts of some of those). The aluminum allows for it to heat better and retain heat while the stainless provide for the best protection agains that stuff I already said. No non-stick either as that can flake off and that can't be good for us. You can use a metal utencil in them and you can scrub them to death. Mine (like cast iron) are good enough to put in an oven and I get a life time guarantee (I think). Oh and they are dishwasher safe too. Can you tell I researched before buying? :p

:wave2:
No buzz cut...thanks a lot guys. Okay....guess I'm on my own on this one. Research time ;)
I still need wash, blow dry and that's it. I'm a no-fuss kind of gal. Can't deal with anything that takes too long....including sitting in a salon chair, I'm afraid.

Liz...great sounding basket :teeth:
Who is left to mail? We know that Pam's is going to scare someone anyday now.
RM's is on the way.
Kristy.....did yours go out?
And Sherry.....I think that's it.

Jeannie.....I've had Club Aluminum, Revere Ware and now have Ultrex (from Home shopping ;) ). I love it....nice thick bottom....I do believe that is one of the most important things for good heat distribution.
It is non-stick (sorry Elaine... I love it), has a lifetime guarantee (well 55 years! ;) ).
Anyway.....get lots of pieces. I use my frying pans the most now that DH is on Atkins ;)
Don't pay a lot either.....no matter what you'll want something else at some point :teeth:
