Good morning all... cold & busy day so far. Hungry too but I need to wait 10 more minutes before they open for breakfast.

Hi Bethie... sure have missed you around here, but I am sure you all sound great with all the practicing you've done!! What types of things have you been scrapping?

LOL, Lily, yep every year we make the change I realize more and more how much I do not like it. Way too late to be light already and I do miss the light in the morning while driving. I don't adjust to this one well at all I think.

Nancy, very wise of you to have them cook like that. If I can't make something in 20 minutes or less, I usually don't like to bother... comes out of sheer laziness here ;) Fortunately a lot of pastas can easily be made in that time frame :teeth: I hope you will be able to hear from your DH... I think Japan is about 13 hours off here so I would usually get calls at about 7 or 8 from my dad... not sure how well that will work for you two though.

Todd, glad youa re able to reschedule your trip! And sure, come on over for Graeter's I am ready to go at anytime ;)

Yep Kristy, Luis got me my sorbet... I was a happy girl :teeth: And you don't *have* to work tomorrow... you could always just call in sick ;)

Lily, I saw that 10 Commandments was on last night... I remember going to see that one at the Ohio Theatre with my grandmother... heck of a long movie but a good one!

Tara, good to see you stop in. I saw that thread as well and I think it eventually was closed. But yes, one person really needed to get a life... first of all size 14 is average size in America and not size 12 ;) And secondly neither is fat in my book :p I seriously think that lady was very insecure about herself to talk like that. Congrats on getting the cap and gown ordered! I loved being able to do that!!

Sherry I hope you get back to bed today... I would love to be doing that myself!!!

Well I need to get thigns done... enjoy the day!

The morning came way to early. Todd kept me up late talking...it was nice, but I am paying for it now while he is home sleeping:rolleyes: He is off tonight, so guess who will be napping when the get home:o

Our opening day parade is today. I think everyone will have their winter coats on. It is too cold for a parade. I think Todd is going to try to bring the girls down and I will take my lunch to go with them.

Sherry....I miss going to the drive-in. I was very young the last time I went and hidden under a blanket. Mom and Dad couldn't pay for all of us, so some had to hide:eek: I hope that Todd and I can go to one this year. Take a nap for me;)

I missed the 'size' thread. I personally think it is up to the individual to decide what their size should be. I was a good size child growing up. I would ask my Dad if he thought I was 'fat'. He would respond by asking, "Are you happy?" Then would tell me that whenever I wasn't happy anymore he would support me in whatever I decided to do. Happiness is the key!

Could someone give me a push every once in a while to wake me up....I am way to tired to be at work.

Morning, yayas. I guess everyone was pretty busy yesterday, because there isn't too much to ketchup on. Or maybe it's because I spent ages reading all those pages!

Let's see, I did promise Liz that I'd tell about the trip, and since it's all quiet around here, I can do that.

I flew into MCO late Sunday night. Took a long time to get my rental because I didn't see the Fastlane sign! Got to the hotel around 1am and to sleep by 1:30.

Monday AM I went over to the MK and had a presentation to attend. Afterwards, I walked around for a bit, got lunch at Pecos Bills (after Ed told me I should eat at Crystal Palace, LOL. He was just saying it because he wasn't there). I decided to see what the wait was for Splash. 35 minutes, although once I got into the standby line and to the end of it, I could tell it was more like 45-50 from where I was. Then I saw Brer Bear and Brer Rabbit, so I hopped out of line and got in that line for pictures. All the people were passing me when I got to the front because I looked like I was working there, LOL! My one ride was the 3/4 trip around the MK Railroad. Off to Mom's I went, with a detour in Lakeland. Mom took me out to Sam Seltzer's for dinner, great steak!

Tues and Wednesday were spend driving over to Lakeland and Plant City, getting a feel for the area. OMG, house prices are sooo much cheaper than by me. Plant City has strawberry fields and Orange groves everywhere and the smell was heavenly. I met with the DM and AM for that area on Wednesday Cooked dinner for Mom one of those nights. We had some retail therapy on Wednesday and my luggage was filled up. I'd left room for my shopping list, but ended up buying another piece of luggage.

Thursday I hung around until noon, then drove through Plant City a little more. I found a few houses for sale in the area that I liked. Then I saw a sign on I4 as I was passing Lakeland, so I looked at the area and picked up a few sale flyers. Lakeland looks to be a little cheaper of the two, but compared to the burbs of DC, it's really good.

Met up with my buddy Donna, who drove in from Jacksonville. We stayed at Pop, this time I was in 50's. I waffled for a few minutes Wishes vs. Illuminations, but Epcot ruled again. We tried out Ice Station Cool, I found my SIL's Meryweather and squared away payment. Then we perused the menus around the world showcase and decided on Chefs de France for dinner. Yum, I think it was the best chicken I've ever had. Got out of dinner at 8:35 and the next Impressions de France was at 9:00, so we went and found a spot for IllumiNations. I don't think I've ever been to it with Donna, and she had to laugh that I could recite the announcements prior!

Afterwards, we did some shopping at DTD. Got the cool pillow (that Kevin has claimed) and some Legos for the boys, antenna toppers and some gifts for my babysitter.

The next morning, we didn't get up until my cell phone rang at 9! Off to a nice breakfast and took some pictures at Pop. Then I went to MGM, again no rides, but I did finish off the shopping list.

On the way back to the airport, I needed to get gas and was hungry. Saw the Hooters first, and went in and got buffalo shrimp to go. Boy, do they look at you funny when you're a chick by yourself! I'm not intimidated by firm young bodies, LOL!

That's it. Not a horrible trip, but mostly move stuff that I am not going to bore ya with all the minute details!

And after that, yesterday was a clean up and paint kinda day. Made frozen pizza for dinner because I just didn't feel like cooking! Found the 10 Commandments on TV and watched until I fell asleep. Have to get that one on DVD, and I think it will go in Ed's easter basket, because it is one of his favorites.

Suzanne

Wake up everyone....I am the one who was suppose to be napping (at my desk of course;) )

Okay, okay, Amanda I'm up :p Remember I'm 3 hours earlier than you!!

Good morning....no sun here today :(

Suzanne sounds like a good....and productive trip (especially all th shopping :teeth: ).

Okay...what is Graeter's ? Obviously we don't have that here ;)

Housecleaning and laundry day here :(
No phone call from DH.....I do doubt that I will get one.

Good morning, everyone! Beautiful :sunny: today, but it's only 31º!! AND we are on Day #2 of heavy winds, so it feels like 21º. Calendar may say it's spring, but it sure doesn't feel like it!

Sounds like it was a movie weekend for quite of few of our sistahs and bothers! We watched a bit of the 10 Commandments last night, too. Heavy eyelids in our house, too, though and we barely made it to 10PM!

Ran out of soap and had no energy to run to the store, so the laundry isn't finished either. :( Oh well, got a load of lights and a load of darks done, so we have undies and sox for today!

Boy-genius boss is in today, so I have to work. Catch ya'll later!

Greater's is an ice cream company/shop. It is very very good.....:) Even Oprah says it is the best ice cream she has ever had. Here is a link for you...http://www.greaters.com/index2.cfm

Nancy, Don't worry about not being up yet...I am up by 5am and at work before 7am. I just forget that others are on different times or get up later.;)

Thanks Amanda...guess I don't have to worry about that one ;)

Morning YaYas! Hope you're all having a happy Monday morning... :)

The last time I checked in on the cb (and the yaya's) was the day where I found out that a size 12 was fat!!

 Whaaaat?!? Ya gotta be kidding me?!? Someone said this somewhere? Good grief!

What a sweet dad!

My Dad is a sweetie:) I am definitely a Daddy's girl. He is very supportive in all I do.

Just thought I would pop in to say hi. Been very busy around here. We did, finally, move into the new house. The movers moved the big stuff and we are moving boxes, clothes, toys, etc. I'm trying to make the house look civilized because Im having a suprise birthday party for David on Saurday--his 40th birthday is today. But my bil/sil will be in town this weekend so we are having the party then.
So Im off to unpack some more--and not kill any spiders, lol.

hey I'm up!!! I was just on a long and involved conference call for a project I am starting this week. Working on getting things done slowly but surely around here :)

Suzanne, sounds like a wonderful trip!!!! Sometimes I am jus thrilled to walk around MK and not even get on a ride! NOt sure why that is. Same with Epcot... just happy when I am there no matter what I am doing :)

Nancy, I hope the sun comes out for you sometime soon! I miss it whne it is gone. I think it is suppose to be here today but as it gets warmer we are supposed to be cloudy and rainy  Just can't win here!

Bethie, don't you work too hard today!!! I had heavy eyelids last night and didn't even try watching that movie... I knew better than to try to stay up for it ;)

LOL, Amanda, I forget that sometimes too about getting up. Although it seems that what I do is not the normal because by the time I get in tow ork to post, people are just getting ready to head into work. I kind of like the earlier hours myself. I do agree... your dad was very good with how he thought! Size never should matter... as long as you love yourself and are happy :) And I am a Daddy's girl too... he's such a dear to me as well!

Hiya Kimmie, yes someone actually said a size 12 was fat AND what got me more was that it was said "How can these people look at themselves in the mirror and not be disgusted!" (not word for word but you get the idea). I just don't understand how someone can say that... made her look really ugly and disgusting herself. Beauty radiates... if you are a beautiful person on the inside it shows on the outside. I know one of the kindest people in the world who totally loves herself as the size she is (no clue, but she is a plus for sure) and just the gentle look on her face, the smile, twinkle in her eyes makes her the most beautiful person to me.

Yeah, I rambled... sorry... but some people are so narrowminded like that I think.

Deena, I was just thinking about you yesterday and wondering what you were up to! So glad that you finally moved in!!! Good luck with the cleaning and have fun this weekend with the party!!! Dont' be such a stranger :)

Elaine and Amanda... your daddies both sound like such treasures!! :)

Hi Deena! A new house and a birthday party... wow... busy week!! :)

what got me more was that it was said "How can these people look at themselves in the mirror and not be disgusted!" (not word for word but you get the idea).
That just leaves me speechless!! Which is probably a good thing... otherwise I'd be way too tempted to say evil things.

Hi all:wave2:

Made it back fron Disneyland ok:D Had a great time. Weather was a little chilly and we got a little bit of rain(actually drizzle).
I survived my MRI thanks to Xanax. We arrived at appt early and got lucky, he had a no-show so I was able to get to Disney a little
earlier than planned:D

We stayed at Disneyland Hotel at the Bonita Towers. our room was on the second floor. Had a wonderful view of the waterfalls. If you go to the Disneyland Board on the top of the board is site that has pictures of the room and the falls. We had two queen beds and a day bed. it was a nice room. After freshening up we went to downtown Disney. Did a little window shopping:D They had a build a bear store but the line was longer than splash mountains:eek: We had Dinner at Chef Goofy's then off to bed. Park opened at 8am on Sat.:D

:wave2:

Got to go back to bed. Slept for about 2 hours. :bounce: Woke up and DH and I went out to lunch at a new Mexican place that opened nearby. Very good food. Got a Margarita Cheesecake that was YUMMY!!! :teeth:

Tina, glad you had a good time at DL and glad the MRI went well.

I had the bestest daddy, too. I miss him so much. :( I was Daddy's little girl. princess:

Glad your moved now, Deena. Good luck with the unpacking and the party stuff. :)

ugh....happy Monday to all  this sunny yet cold weather is driving me bonkers!! It's been a long day.....so I'm just gonna say ditto to Elaine's ketchup :o
oh....and I'm so glad I didn't see the thread about a size 12 being fat....whoever the person is would have gotten an ear full ::yes::

ok...off for now. later tater's

Welcome back Tina. I can't wait to stay at the DLH :bounce:

Deena glad you are all moved now. Good luck getting ready for a party already.
MY DH's BD is Thursday and he will hit a decade marker too.....but not the same one as your DH

Size 12  No comment. Everyone is so different......

Okay...I get to go to 2 movies alone this week....suggestions?
Thinking ....Prince and me.....Dawn of the Dead.....Hidalgo.....Jersey Girl.....any reviews??

Size 12 thread??
