Lucystorm...what an awful thing to happen so close to you. That is one of my greatest fears when it comes to my daughters.

We are arriving at WDW on May 4 and staying till Saturday. Maybe you and Elaine could come then.....

Bonnie how awful!!! I dont blame you for not wanting to let your kids out of your sight. We had something similar happen here but they found the little girl alive.

Bonnie I might be able to make it up for a weekend in May if you would like to meet up. We love doing weekend trips.

Im sticking here tonight. I thought I would just slink away and be by myself but thats not the best thing for me. Im gonna stay with you all. Maybe it will take my mind off the pain and get me in a better mood.

Just came back inside. Seems while DH was moving cars around so he could snow blow the driveway, he drove my car off the drive, and got it stuck in the snow. Half a bucket of snowmelt and half a bag of playsand later, we are unstuck! Sheesh. I really need to go back to WDW. Did someone mention May??

Oh Ya Ya Nurses: Question for you.

Bubble Boy fell at school back in November (right before T-Giving) and in his own words, "Slided on his face" He scraped up the side of his nose, under his nose, and about an inch long scrape under his eye. He healed BEAUTIFULLY, maybe because I was obsessive with the neosporin to keep it nice and soft. Well, we were out tonight playing in the snow, and the spot under his eye where he scraped got very very red and stayed that way for about an hour after we came in. Normal? Anything to worry about? "Stop being neurotic Debbie!"

Oh, and it should go away as it heals more. At one seminar that I went to on wound care, the speaker was telling us that damaged tissue can take on average 2 years to heal completely and return to its pre-injury state! They were talking about pressure ulcers, but I would imagine that the source of the injury would not make that much of a difference.

Really??? That is really interesting. I was amazed at how fast the scrapes healed (oh to have that perfect young skin!) Makes sense. Now that I know not to worry, it will be fine.

Deb, no problem! Just PM me & I'll give you any tips I can pass along. It's really pretty easy. I've been giving tips to a coworker who is thinking about selling too. Not sure if he'll do it, but I think he's looking at is more as a side job instead of how to get rid of some extra stuff (like I'm doing).

Okay everyone. Pasta is ready. Anyone want some? I promise I washed up before cooking it and didn't breathe on it. Don't need anymore sick Ya Yas. I have plain spaghetti sauce, a meat sauce & alfredo. The pasta is a combination of three kinds (elbow macaroni, some twisty/culry macaroni & some twisty straight kind. I would give you the names of whatever kind they are, but I forgot what they're called. Oh well).

Um, this talk of tissue damage & cuts & scrapes really isn't helping my appetite. LOL!

Well, technically, two sauces. Even more technically, I have two available, but only made one.. The meat & meatless sauce are Ragu (there goes my secret ), I just have some extra in the jar, thus, no meat. I didn't use it all with the meat. The alfredo is here, but I didn't warm it up. But I can warm it up for ya pretty easily. And if ya'll don't eat it, I know what I'll be having for lunch tomorrow. And dinner. And lunch Saturday.....

That wasn't very nice of Tom to wait till you got better. Heck, make him feel bad since he missed it all. Make him pamper you anyway.
