The worst live stage show or parade is.....

worst show: hands down the pocohantas show
best show: that is now gone...the pocohantas show in MGM...totally the best ever they put on...believe it was shut down to some controversy or so....
sure someone else knows here better exactly what happened

and just for the record

I felt tapestry of dreams was a huge let down....thought it would be ever so much better
suffice to say, :confused3 I don't miss it at all

Stage Show: I agree, Pocohantas was not great. But if by worse you mean the one I'd least enjoy sitting through a second time, it's Playhouse Disney Live. The best words I ever heard my DD utter were, "come on Dad, I'm too old for that" as we walked past Playhouse Disney.

Parade: This is tough. I love Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade at DAK. Stars and Motor Cars is neat and I like the variety of characters. That leaves Share A Dream, which I've seen the most, but still enjoy. If I had to skip one it would probably be Stars and Cars since it is the most difficult to fit in with all the shows.

you should at least appretiate playhouse for it's art form. those are some prety impressive puppets and ifyou knew what kind of grueling conditions and hard work the puppetters go through to put that show on everyday you'd appretiate it more. It is geared for pre k and k kids, but dont' shut it down becuase of that. it's really a very complex show to perform.

I also agree with pocohantas being to preachy, but be aware that Sprig is the most complex and difficult puppet to perform on any of the disney properties world wide.

REALLY??!!

I haven't been to WDW in many, many, many........years but I thought that this would be THE BEST show they offered. I think this might be the 1st bad review I've seen.
I'm not the only one. Lots of people don't care for Fantasmic. There was a thread a while back about not liking it.

Illuminations is awesome and Wishes almost moves me to tears.

But, of course, there are those who like Fantasmic best. This is just my opinion.
:goodvibes

Best show Fantasmic.

Worst show Stiches Great Escape, Tarzan Rocks

We may be alone here but we liked the Pocohantas show

Dave

Worst show: Pocohantas

Worst parade: Mickey's Jammin' Jungle

Worst night entertainment: Fantasmic

Best show: Beauty, no Lion King, no - Beauty, no, aw, forget it

Best parade: Share a Dream Come True

Best Night: Spectro & Wishes
Same here!

I really like Pocohantos show. I think it really cute show. Nothing a fancy, just simple. We have no kids enjoy going the show. Everytime we at WDW we go to show.

Spectromagic...I know, flame away. But so many of the floats seem to have nothing to do with Disney, or some relatively uknown part of Disney that young people have forgotten. Those dolls with the wild hair are creepy. The hippos, ostriches and Gargoyle just don't seem to fit. There is not enough of Classic or new Disney or the major characters to make it interesting. We've all agreed in my family that we won't sit through it again.
:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:
No flames here.... I happen to agree!
Those dolls just give me nightmares!
Even though the "hippos, ostriches and gargoyle" are from Fantasia, the parade has always seemed "thrown together" to me.

I used to love the parades at M, Electrical Light Parade was best... and we liked the Memories (? the one before this one) .... but now.... we don't care for either one.
Worst stage show..... yes, I think I'd agree with Pocohantas.

All time favorite parade...... has to be Tapestry of Nations.... not Dreams (thought that was lame.... the kids voices were annoying!).
All time fav show.... Illuminationas :thumbsup2

But I guess Illuminations isn't really a live stage show.... then the best one of those would be Festival of the Lion King. :thumbsup2

Worst:Pocohantos show at AK.
Best: Fantasmic, but Festival of the Lion King is up there on my list.

yep except the share a dream since i don't remember which that is. so i'd put spectro there
and jammin jungle is bad for me not so much for the actual parade but for the rude guests who thought they were actually" part of it" and kept accosting us when they were boogieing after if for miles when we tried to get out of the area when it was over  i like the thought of Pocahontas( guess i am mother earthy hehe) but probably wouldn't run back real soon due to a lack of plot

not a flame but imo jumping up on my soap box... i love spectro and truthfully hate that it seems like so much now at wdw seemingly forgets the old classics and is just a commercial for the latest disney movie/tv show/marketing ploy. i mean does chicken little or even the incredibles really rank up there with snow white or fantasia??? they might be cute but seem more like cartoons rather than movies to me. and stitch just annoys me. i'd rather see things like philharmagic( if that's a show it's my favorite but it's really a movie) that combines the old and the new, which imo is really what makes disney disney... off soap box

Totally agree!!

We won't be doing that again either!

I'm not a big fan of Illuminations either...the fireworks make it worth it though.

Love Festival of the Lion King and Wishes fireworks.

Fanstasmic is good...but I prefer the DL version (Peter Pan and Hook part is much better than Pocohantas part)

I dislike Fantasmic at WDW but love it at DL. I liked the Hunchback show; two of my friends were in it. :teeth: I really like Illuminations. I'm also totally terrified of Spectro; clowns really freak me out! (We'll see how I do at La Nouba in five days. :scratchin )

Worst: Stitch's Great Escape.
Best: Lion King, Beauty and the Beast (friend of my daughter is in FOLK)
Like all the parades
Like all the night stuff

Best: Festival of the Lion King (since Hunchback is now gone. :( )

Worst: Beauty and the Beast. Fantasmic is way up there too simply because I don't think the show justifies the absolutely ridiculous wait during any time in the year.

Nope, can't think of any "worst show". I am not a big fan of the parades tho, as they become more of an inconvenience for me after the first couple of times seeing it.

I actually liked Tarzan Rocks but both my DW and I were into the music and we used to love rollerblading.

Pocohantas - It's been a little while, but I don't seem to recall there being some kind of preachy message. I think there was a beautiful girl dressed in a skimpy "faux animal skin dress" that could have distracted me tho. :scratchin:

They have Pocahantas in Fantasmic instead of Peter Pan and Hook?!?. Guess I can cross that one off my list, especially given the horror stories I've heard about lines.

Its not LINES that you wait in. Its just a HUGE THEATER.

If it fills up (WHEN it fills up) they first allow SRO, then they just don't allow any more guests to enter.
The Fantasmic! THEATER (and it is ENORMOUS) makes a MAJOR difference in being able to ENJOY the show at WDW.

While I DO favor the DL version of the SHOW, the LACK of seating at DL (except for a TINY, TINY few) makes viewing that great show a challenge (and rather DANGEROUS) with the MOB that chokes the area around the "Rivers of America" every night.

And, lets not forget that you must secure a "spot" ON THE GROUND just as early (if not earlier) at DL as you need to arrive at the WDW theater, if you want to SEE Fantasmic!

Yes, the two full-sized SHIPS that are used in DL's Fantasmic! make a major impression of the viewers.
But the scenes at WDW with the "English vs. the Indians" are actually very well done (not much actual "Pocahontas" IN the show).

Aren't you glad that WDW never did a parade or show based on "Home on the Range" or "Atlantis" or "Treasure Planet" or "Brother Bear"? Think how bad those shows could have been!! :rotfl2:
