The worst live stage show or parade is.....

It should be said that the worst show/parade at Disney is still way better than shows/parades almost anywhere else.
Absolutely. That quote reminds me of the saying that goes something like, "The worse day of vacation is better than the best day at work."
The great thing about Disney is there is something for everyone. I am sure some people avoid the fireworks because of noise and crowds. Same for parades. And others go just for those.
I have heard many make comments about the creepy lit up faces of the Spectro characters. They are odd :confused3 and I would rather see a traditional Disney-type character. But at least they are different.
I always wondered HOW they make the faces light up and HOW can any of them can see. After all, we all know they are real -- and guest friendly! :thumbsup2
DL Fantasmic is a FANTASTIC show. The major downside is standing in a very tight crowd for a long period to see it. Big trade off.

I have to just say I would like to see some new parades. Jammin' Jungle never did much for me.

That being said, I miss ToN (not ToD).

actualy i find wishes to be the most uneventful closing show of all the three parks. um.. ooh, shinny lights. do something i haven't seen.

Wishes isn't about showing you something "you haven't seen." The point of Wishes is that it is something you have seen. It's supposed to be about the tradition of watching fireworks explode over the castle that many generations have taken part in. It's about seeing the castle so beautifully lit up. It's about hearing the soundtrack that chokes me up every time I hear it. It's about standing on Main Street and soaking it all in and thinking about how many other people have stood on that very street watching fireworks over the castle for the past 30+ years. It's about wishing on a star and believing that it really will come true. It's one of the few modern things at the park that I truly believe that Walt would have adored. Yes, the fireworks have gotten bigger and better over the years, but the point is not to be some huge "never before seen" spectacle. The point of Wishes is to let children young and old experience the Disney magic together and uphold that tradition. I hope that those mere "shiny lights" continue to shine for years to come instead of being replaced by some trendy spectacle.

well i saw it once and felt it wasn't worth seing again. I don't think it was the fireworks that i found trite. it was the pointless soundtrack.

I can't really think of a bad show/parade at Disney. I haven't seen Pocahontas, Tarzan, or Jammin Jungle Parade yet (or technically, can't see Tarzan period). I saw the MGM parade once. It was ok (though not one I would see a lot). I enjoy Beauty and the Beast, FOTLK (have friends in it), Fantasmic, and Voyage of the Little Mermaid (love the opening scene with all the fish). I saw Playhouse Disney once, and I enjoyed it because I liked seeing how all the puppets worked (I work with puppets at home). My favorites have to be Cinderellabration (LOVE that show. Have a lot of friends in it), Spectro, and SADCT. I just enjoy Disney entertainment, I guess.

DCT???

We used to call SpectroMagic the "Sinister Parade". When my DDs were small they were so freaked by those clown things that it had become a legend in our house! We skipped it for years. Last summer, my youngest DD and I were in MK during extra magic hours and sat on a curb and watched it. We were in an area by ourselves somehow and it was like they put on the Sinister Parade just for us. It was awesome! Just goes to show, I guess!

The show we enjoyed the least was The Little Mermaid, but even that we liked. Loved everything else!

Worst show was that stupid muppets on location show at MGM so many years ago....you know the one where they were "filming" a movie.

Worst parade was the Binford Father's Day Parade....so boring an LONG.

of course, these are extinct now

They have Pocahantas in Fantasmic instead of Peter Pan and Hook?!?. Guess I can cross that one off my list, especially given the horror stories I've heard about lines.

Just to clarify...Pocohantas isn't in WDW's Fantasmic--just a fight scene with native Americans and the British settlers.

We have always done the Fantasmic Dinner Package in order to avoid waiting in line--it's worked for us. The show is worth seeing for sure (IMHO)

Actually Pocohontas IS in WDW's Fantasmic at the end of the fight scene she show up on the top right of the mountain.

To each their own. My family actually LOVES Wishes. We bought the soundtrack and my kids (ok and I) love to listen to it regularly. Brings a tear to my eye everytime.

Ok...thanks for the correction! I didn't remember that... ;)
Don't blink you might miss her!

I still like the DL version with the whole Peter Pan/Pirates/Capitan Hook scene better! :teeth:

I agree, I too prefer the Peter Pan scene. Although I think the Pocohontas scene is very well done.
