The World of Wogging.

I got in 1.5 miles last night. I forgot my time though. 24 minutes maybe. I got to try out my new sneakers though and had to be creative with the nike+ transmitter since I forgot to buy a pocket for it. The new sneakers are New Balance. My feet feel good today (aside from the normal aches and pains that I had before the new sneakers). Hopefully I'll be able to start having less pain now that I have sneakers that fit better. Or at least my toes won't be so ugly.

W4D1 is up next!

I plan on doing yoga tonight. I wanted to get up early today to do my AM yoga tape, but that didn't happen. I did wake up at 6, but just closed my eyes thinking that I coudl get up in another 30 minutes, but the next thing I know, my alarm was going off at 7:10. Oh well, maybe tomorrow will start the morning routine. I guess tonight will be PM yoga instead.

That's great that you were able to get some miles in yesterday. I so didn't want to go out last night, but once I got out there I was so happy that I did.

I was going to skip doing anything at all today, but more I sit here stuck at my desk all day the more I feel the need to do something. I'm not going to walk or run though, I think I need to give those muscles a bit of a break. I'm thinking maybe my toning Zumba tape, or a step tape at home will do the trick.

Hi Everyone!

Well, it's been a slow week for me getting back into things working out wise. I did speed walk at the mall pushing my kids with my girlfriends and the older people, my oldest wonders why everyone is so old in the early morning hours at the mall (lol!!:rotfl:) and today I made myself get back on the treadmill and did 2 miles....5 min. run/2 min. walk..boy, do those 2 min. fly by!:scared1: But I'm so excited I pushed myself and did it...will walk again tomorrow and run on Friday....after all, I only have 4 more weeks until the 5K!!!!! Not sure how I'm going to be able to do it...but as long as I finish, I'm going to be proud of myself!!:cloud9:

Hope everyone is having a good day!
Kristen:flower3:

Alright girls, you have inspired me to get on board! I weighed myself this morning and saw a number I haven't seen in 5 years. I'm disappointed in but I refuse to beat myself up over it, I'm just going to get back in control of my life.

I lost 25 pounds a few years ago and I contribute a lot of my sucess to tracking my food intake on an online site called sparkpeople. I decided to begin keeping track of my food today and it has been a real struggle (I probably shouldn't have started on a day off!)

I didn't go to the gym today but I bought myself a pedometer and decided to walk to pick up my son from school instead of drive and I plan on walking to the video store in a little while to return some DVD's. I'm hoping the beautiful weather forecast the next few days will get me up and going!

I know getting started will be a struggle at first but I have done it before and I can do it again :yay: I'm looking forward to starting my journey with all of you!

Hope you didn't get much sorer today!

I'm hoping my knee feels better tomorrow. I'm supposed to do my second day of the c2k5 program tomorrow, but my knee has been bothering me all day today. Whenever I walk down steps it hurts slightly and feels like it's going to give out or something. It wasn't from running the other day, but I think I twisted it in Zumba class. In class tonight it really was bugging me, thank goodness we had a sub in class and it was easier than normal. I hate missing my running day, but I'm really thinking I should rest the knee.

Just got off the treadmill, did 2 miles in 30 minutes, I'm pretty pleased but my shins are killing me!:sad2: They were kind of tender after Tuesdays C25K training, I walked yesterday and ran again today.....I've only a month (today!!) until my race.....got to find the motrin.....lol!:rotfl: Hope everyone has a great day and a nice weekend!!:goodvibes

Everyone is doing so well....except for me. Bah. I have not been motivated at all this week. I have only walked once. I will walk tomorrow and then either tonight or Sunday. I have to do this! :thumbsup2

It's supposed to be beautiful out this weekend. Perfect time to go out and enjoy a stroll around your new neighborhood.

I went to my Zumba class last night and my knee was giving me problems throughout the entire class. I was actually happy that our usual instructor was out and that we had a really easy sub. I would have never made it through my usual class. I'm thinking I should skip my run tonight and just rest it, but (and I can't believe I'm going to say this) I want to run. :scared1: It's better today, but still is feeling unstable when I walk down steps.

HI All....

Sounds like everyone is staying motivated. The weather here in Delaware finally got nicer after too many days of rain and wind. I ran last night while my son was at soccer (about 2 1/4 miles) then I walked another mile. Normally I wouldn't bother with the walking, but I, like KSchafer, have gained some poundage and I need to get it under control - NOW! I am also going through a phase of hormonal shifts that has slowed my metabolism to a crawl, so I am fighting a losing battle. I also realized that I really need a new pair of running shoes too, so I am going to get me "sum" this weekend (I hope).

Happy Friday!

Morning all!

Glad to hear that everyone is doing well. LL you CAN do this! I have faith in you and we are all here to support you!

I once again walked to pick up my son yesterday then later in the evening did a walk/bike/rollerskate with my boys. Today I have several errands around campus and am looking forward to getting out into the BEAUTIFUL spring day. Hopefully sometime over the rainy weekend I will get to the gym.

Keep it going girls!!

(On a sidenote: MEK, your trip is coming up! Any PTR in the works?)

I know how you feel LL... I was supposed to start my C25K on Tuesday....but all I've managed is one Walk all week..... bah

How'd you make out last night? Are you feeling okay today??:confused3

Thanks for checking up on me! I made it through my workout but could barely sit in my car to drive home...I had to push my seat back and keep my legs at straight as possible to drive!!! My thighs felt completely stiff. But I took some Aleve when I got home and I was fine. So it was clearly just finding "lost" muscles!!! :lmao: Luckily yesterday was my 3rd day this week so I got to skip tonight ;)

I'm going to check out the New Balance outlet this weekend (I can walk there from my house if i wanted to).

Today I'm not nearly as sore which is encouraging. I fell down a flight of stairs in February and landed flat on my back (this was 2 days before my DisMeet trip). I bruised my tailbone pretty good. Everytime I'm sore after working out, I get concerned that maybe I actually did something to my back in Feb and I'm re-aggravating it.

I love PTR's, but I am superstitious and think they are bad luck! :rotfl2: I know this is totally ridiculous and I should just do one anyway! But I always get so nervous before each trip, fearing that something is going to cause us to have to cancel. It never has. LOL :confused3

This should be a good post trip report, though, since we are taking my 9 year old nephew on his first trip. Then I have the cool teenagers to contend with. Should be interesting. You will have to stay tuned for the exciting conclusion!

So for now I am living vicariously through everyone else TR's. Plus I LOVE LL's pics.

WHERE ARE THEY TODAY???????

I'm with you MEK...bad luck...I'm not doing another one...my last 2 did not end well:sad2:

Morning! Glad you made it through your workout yesterday!! You cracked me up when you said you had to push your seat all the way back...thank goodness I work out at home, cause I could see myself doing the same thing!!:laughing: Hope you had a nice rest last night!! Are you working out today? or walking to New Balance? Enjoy it if so....I get today off...back to reality tomorrow, but it's making me nervous cause my shins are killing me....Motrin is my friend!!:headache:

I can't believe you feel down the stairs, how horrible! Was it in the snow or just in the house? Doesn't it stink getting older....it takes forever recovering from things like that!

Well, hope you're feeling better today! Happy Wogging!!

Hi gang!

Hope you're all having a great Saturday. The weather is beautiful in New England. It inspires you to get outside (she says as she is on the computer DIS'ing ).

I am happy to report that I did my workout today - 40 min on the elliptical and then sit-ups, push-ups, squats, and tricep dips. I'm doing the "Valerie Bertinelli" workout. Did you see her in her bikini? I want to look like that!!

I'm just wondering if I'll ever like working out. :confused3 Because right now I hate every second of it. :sad2: But I do feel a sense of accomplishment when it's over.

Happy wogging. :upsidedow
