I haven't posted in a while but I'm all caught up now! Glad to see another September trippie still in day 4 Your girls are adorable, pictures are great, and you're a much better storyteller than myself for sure!

By the way, I was thinking of you when I took this in January...

I didn't know until your TR that the lake between the developed and abandoned sections of Pop had a bridge (to nowhere). We're going to make sure on our upcoming trip that we have a room near the parking lot so we don't have to see the Rwanda motels across the lake...

Hey Mike. Thanks for stopping in. Its been pretty quiet around here...

I noticed that I was in the pic with the door open in the phone booth! Gotta get in the pics somehow!

I have to say - even with Tink taking off on me, it was a relief to have found Chip. I knew we had to find him at some point or she would have been so disappointed so to just stumble upon him like that with no line up was fantastic! Pressure was off for the rest of the trip!

Yes, the people who take the pics have to be inventive to get in on them whenever they can - lol

And the Chip meeting was just perfect, much better than trying to follow a schedule and hope he's where he's supposed to be when you're there. Much better to just turn a corner and there he is!

Yes, Disney has an interesting perspective on geography. They didn’t do too bad considering they were setting up the world in horseshoe form Great pics of the fam there …even snuck in one of them yourself into another one – good for you! Cute pic of Belle in the beret

YEA an update! its looking like a fun day so far. So how long until M tore in to those cookies she got?

which lens's for your camera did you take on the trip? I have 2 I was gonna take the the standard 55 then I have a 300 I wanted to take for AK ect..

I am debating on getting a middle of the road one too? is that overkill?

Tink was good about the cookies....we ate them later....there may be a pic so stay tuned!

As for the lens....I think I used the 28-80 3.5-5.6 for most of them. I only took one lens a day to the parks with me. Didn't want to cart around a bunch of stuff so I went with that one. But that is just me.....I don't like packing stuff with me so I just threw my camera over my shoulder and went with it.

Thanks for stopping in Mike! Nice to have some of my old readers coming back! I kind fell off the trip report wagon there for awhile but I am back to finish it!

I am so happy for Dan and Candi about their baby. He has been so excited waiting for baby to show up!

I like your theory on Tink's fountain testing.....I think I'll just go with that!

The Chip encounter was perfect. Not sure what I would have done if there had been a line up and she beat me to him - lots of ticked parents I bet! Thankfully no one was there so she got him all to herself!

And yes, I tried to be better this trip about handing the camera over so there would be proof that my kids do have a mother!

Thanks Mike. We are having a great weekend! The girls were dancing at our local Earth Day celebrations! It was great, I love watching them dance!

Disneyworld Trip Chapter 26 - Still “Around-The-World”ing


When I last left you Tink was once again checking out the water in the fountains....drove me nuts the whole trip but she was having fun doing it so who cares! It was her vacation too. Slowed us down a bit but I think I needed that reminder to slow down and enjoy the little details.

Anyways....

Everyone knows when going around the world Japan comes after Morocco!

Went inside to enjoy the air conditioning and to look around the shop.

I love Hello Kitty.

Well, not really but she makes me laugh.

Some friends and I have a thing when someone is saying something hurtful that you just give them the Hello Kitty stare. No expression. Just a blank stare. Blink when necessary. So I took some pics of Hello Kitty for them!

The girls were watching everyone pick a pearl and they wanted to do it so Daddy came through for them!

They picked the oysters that they wanted. Someone suggested the ugliest, hairiest ones have the biggest pearls in them so Belle went with that theory and Tink just randomly picked one!

Here is our pearl opener! No idea what her name was but she was very sweet with the girls....

Here was Belle’s....here’s was pinky...

And here was Tink’s....here’s was white....

They both got the little drum beat for them and they were thrilled! It is a fun thing to do.

Here are the pearls sitting in the salt....

They each chose a necklace to have their pearls set on and here is one of them being set....

Looked around the store a bit more while the pearls were being worked on and then had them boxed up and off we went!

We were stopped by another Photopass photographer and told them to go for it with the girls....they were wearing those white dresses for a reason!

The pics weren’t very good from this one, they were kind of washed out. Oh well....

Here they are...

And they even made us get in there....didn’t want to....but oh well....

After that we were on our way to Italy!

Tink liked these poles and wanted to have her pic taken with one.....

And not to be outdone Belle wanted hers done too....

Found the fountain and Tink had to stick her hands in it. Unfortunately the Photopass guy was taking someone else’s pics at the same time Tink found it and she got ahead of me again.....sorry to whoever it was who she got into your pics!

Waited for them to finish up and then we jumped in for pics!

Then we got in....

And then the photographer kicked the kids out....

Lots of pictures from your trip! Nice family photo. What a perfect happy family photo! I have always loved the photos of the entire happy family, as opposed to just mom and kids or dad and kids. I think it really shows that you are truly all having a great time being all together!!!
