Sorry to hear that the update was lost. :badpc:

So we take it that you are now diligently reworking on a new update. Right? Yes? Soonish? Today? :goodvibes

The Trip Chapter 1 - The Beginning

Where was I? Oh ya - we're now finally in the car. Tuned the radio to the news station so we could hear what the border line ups were like. We have one that is reasonably close to us and we like the American guards there. They are nice unlike the ones at the other crossing. Then the traffic comes on. Crud. There is a 2 hour line up at "our" crossing and only 20 mins at the other one. Oh well, we headed east to go to the other one.

Are you noticing a pattern here? Seems every cruise ship known to mankind was leaving Seattle in the morning so every hotel room was booked tonight!
Is there alot of border crossings, or just on major highways? Do the smaller roads like ones in your towns go across, or just interstate size ones.

That was the day that my boss was in seattle to go on a cruise up to alaska. I think alot of them take off around then.

The Trip Chapter 3 - We're Still On The Wrong Plane!
Well why on earth has that never been mentioned before? Not on Southwest's site, not on our tickets, not on the sign at the boarding gate - no where I tell you!

Actually it was 8:05pm which was 11:05pm Vancouver time so it had been an extremely long day and we still had to get to our hotel.

Last year, i got up and was waiting in the line with the plan in front of us, i even asked the guy why everyone was weiring pittsburg steelers stuff and agoing to orlando. they dont have a football team down there. he said well they do in pitsburge and that is where this plan is going...no kidding you dont say, yep sure enough, glad i struck up that conversation.
:sad2:

arent you guys 3 hour Behind WDW time? so wouldnt it have been 5:05 in vancouver?

cant wait to see what happens when you get to disney, im on page 54 now.
:thumbsup2

Well we have the beaver tail and lots of people up here are partial to poutine. Oh yeah and some like to put mayo and vinegar on their french fries.:scared:
what is beaver tail, and poutine, are these things to make me say something and get in trouble?
:rotfl:

I like mayo on fries, and malt vinegar, it is very good, started doing that at an amusment park in Ohio...Cedar Point.

A beaver tail is a dessert made of fried dough rolled in cinnamon and sugar. They used to sell them at Epcot.

Poutine is french fries topped with gravy and cheese curds. I am not a big fan of it myself but it is very popular up here.

Made it to page 76 today:thumbsup2

you made it to disney, got your room, and had nachos for dinner, that sounds like a good day to me, heck any day with nachos is a good day.

Congrats on your daughter getting into that school, i am going to ask, and even if you already said and i missed it somewhere in the shuffle, i am sure you are going to be the proud mom and dont mind to share again, but what exactly is that she got into.

Is it like those schools where you go and that is your school and you dance. Or is it a production where she will go and just put on a show, then come home after that?

 I've had elephant ears, they are slightly different. You can also get other toppings on a beaver tail but the cinnamon and sugar is the basic one.

I think that Pinnochio's in the MK sells something like poutine. It is called Figaro fries.

Of course Canada rocks. We are the best country in the world!:snooty:

canada is in the running for top 5, but you guys have to show me more of what you guys have to offer, besides just the beaver tail, and poutine....

 You will just have to check out my pre-trip report sometime. Since the actual trip is not until next December I am doing mini-TR's of the local area.

The Beaver Tail sounds great but can't say I'm too excited about the Poutine, doesn't sound good at all, lol.

I don't think I could eat anything called Poutine. That just does NOT sound appetizing! But ANYTHING rolled in Cinnamon and Sugar YUMMMM!!!!

I guess the love of poutine must be a cultural thing. Most people I know love it, not me though. I believe that poutine originated in Quebec (the french province) and then spread across the rest of the country.
