Girl I was referring to me!!! You on the other hand, are verye beautifull. I can see where your children got their looks from. All my kids got from me is their blond hair,blue eyes (though DS7's are turning green. LIKE his Dads!) skinny little bodies,stubborn persoality and warped sense of humor!!!!

You are way too kind LeeLee! I love my kids' eyes. Both HG and I have brown eyes and one of our kids has green and one has blue. We like to say we are an excersize in recessive genetics!

Thanks for the prayers. I am getting better everyday. HG says I am getting bossy which means I must be feeling better!

Chapter 16 - Anyone know how to avoid the "Poof Palace"?

So heres the thing - I don't like flying.

Well not completely true.

I don't mind flying, its the crashing and dying that I don't like.

I felll In the Floor Laughing At this!!!

Back in July I went to Dallas to visit a friend and do some pre-trip shopping. I got brave and flew there by myself. Well how the heck else would I get there from Canada? But I digress.....

On the way back I guess I looked somewhat suspicious to the security team or maybe they had nothing else to do at 430am and I was the only person around so they put my in the "poof palace".

For those of you unfamiliar with the "poof palace" it is actually an explosives screening. They put you in a clear plexiglass box and shoot a blast of air at you and then the sample of air is analyzed for explosives.

Not a big deal for most people.

It was for me.

I tried really hard not to freak for 2 reasons.

First, it feeds my paranoia of plane crashes and second, I don't like tight spaces.

I may have done okay except they put me in and told me not to leave until the doors opened. Okay, I can do this.

So I go in and the doors close.

Puff of air all over including up the skirt!

And then I wait.

And the doors don't open.

Then the security people walk away.

And leave me in the box.

I guess I looked over at them with the panicing eyes and they came over to talk me through the last 20 seconds or so but it wasn't pretty.

And I don't want to do it again.

So now I am nervous that I am going to have to get into the "poof palace" again. And of course because I am nervous it is going to make me look suspicious to the secuity people again which means another trip into the "palace".

Any ideas on how to avoid it?

I have a great idea for this!!!!!

Well, I casually pop over here to check out your report and I find that you are recovering from surgery! And just a few days before your WDW trip!! Sending tons of pixidust so you feel in tip-top condition for Disney!

I'm sure the girls have been helping you out a lot... I remember Tricia being such a big help to me when I was recovering from a surgery exactly two years ago. Thank goodness it was warm out and Ed could cook dinner on the grill every night!!

I really admire your creativity... the "lunch" boxes are so cute and your scrapbooking pages are so beautiful. I'm glad you proved 'em wrong about not recovering fully after your horrible accident.

I'm really looking forward to reading more on your report!

Thanks for the kind words about my craft "problem". They've taken over my house! Well, the supplies have anyways. I collect more stuff then I use. I think most crafters have this problem!

My DSis, Marilyn (the one who will be in WDW with her family the same week as I am) is an avid scrapbooker. She has an entire room for all her scrapbooking supplies! An entire room!!

Excellent! Have you started packing yet? I think I may start tomorrow. Looks like clouds and rain here until we go so I should be safe to pack the summer clothes!

Well if I don't do it, he'll be packing at the last minute....ie. Friday night at midnight or 6 AM Saturday morning before we leave (gotta be out the door by 10 minutes til 7) I am usually responsible for all the toiletries, and I will pack him the right number of shirts, shorts, shoes, socks, underwear, and I will tell him to look it over on Friday and add anything that he wants to bring. I also go through the whole list again reading off everything, and double checking that we have not missed anything. And sometimes that sets off a little something in his head that he wants to bring, that I may have missed on the list. Afterall, I'm not a guy and I don't know what exactly HE needs. I write a list as detailed as I can get, but his side is usually a lot smaller. hehe

You're a nice wife letting him look! Mine gets what I pack. Although with good reason. One trip we went on he packed his own stuff and forgot undies and pants! He did have shorts but that was it! HAhahaha!!! Now I get to do it all. I still haven't figured out if that's a good thing or not!
