Thanks Buzz. Is this like the shortest vacation for you all?Mar 2 - 7.

You are going to have to be patient DM. Remember she has 3 kids to take care of,one of which requires ALOT more attention than the other two, with his "special" needs and all.

LA and I had the front door open and she was catching the "snow flags" as she calls them. Then she asked who makes it snow? I told her, "God, of course!"Only He could be responsible for so much beauty!!
Thank you!I used to teach special ed before I had kids and when I was in college, people would say, "Wow! That must take a lot of patience." I'd shrug and say, "Yeah, but I've been married to Buzz for awhile so I've been practicing." He's what you call "high maintenance."
I loved being a special ed teacher. I didn't want to quit, but Buzz thought it'd be best if I was a stay at home mom. Then come to find out Trey had special ed issues. It worked out really well!Funny how that happens!
There ya go! I like my weekends too. All week long, I sit and crochet in front of the t.v. I need a break.![]()
Yeah, it's pretty short. It probably is our shortest one-although last spring's was really short like this too.
Buzz came home today and commented that the snow had pretty much melted. Guess what!! It's totally snowing outside. Big huge flakes and the ground is covered. It looks gorgeous outside. LA and I had the front door open and she was catching the "snow flags" as she calls them. Then she asked who makes it snow? I told her, "God, of course!"Only He could be responsible for so much beauty!!
The older I get the more I believe that "special" children are given to SPECIAL people. It takes special people to love and care for those. I consider it a blessing for those children to be with such special families. BTW, the "special child" that I was refering to in the other post was not Trey. (LG either)![]()
Goodness, now I really want to book a Disney trip. I'm having a very hard time resisting, even though the money spent on Disneyland could sure go a longway with my current situation.
I have no willpower, and have been tweaking the "Fuzzydisneymath" all morning.
On the plus side, my car was 600.00 cheaper to fix than I was quoted. I think the mechanic eventually felt sorry for me, as they had it 19 days.
Today-I'm going to make sure our new headphones for our portable DVD player work.
Get out the back packs. Clean 'em out. Sometimes I find little things left in there from our previous trip that I miss when I put them away. Last fall, in one of the side pockets I found a bunch of smashed pretzels. Yuck.
Look at the kids DVD's and note which ones they have so this week I can go buy them some new ones and not duplicates of what they already have.
I've thrown some more things in the suitcase-we're getting ready. I need a new camera. Mine is an old one and it's huge and weighs a ton. Buzz has a nice one, but he's always got it with him. I think I'll go shopping this week and see what I can come up with. Any suggestions? I don't want to pay a fortune, but want a fairly decent one.
Snow? Yuck-o-rama. Gimme heat and humidity any day.
Give the Canon S5 IS a try! It takes great quality pictures if you want to turn amatuer, and is still easy to understand.
DH got me one of those for our anniversary! It's a little bigger, but takes awesome auto pictures and has lots of options if you know what you're doing.
But CE, it's only awesome if he doesn't leave it in the rental car right![]()

I knew who you meant!!My adult sized "child" with special needs, not my pint sized ones!
He doesn't really have special needs, more like special issues!!
Tracy-LeeAndra has some other funny words too, but I can't think of them right now. Oh-I just thought of one! She pointed to her tongue the other day and told me those bumps on you tongue are called "taste bugs!"
I'm starting to embarrass her though. She used to love playing dolls and things with me. Now she gets all embarrassed acting when I play and doesn't really like it. Last time I played with her she told me, "Go stand in the closet." Then as an after thought she added, "And don't act stupid or nothing." Gee, there went my plan!! I was planning on acting stupid.![]()
