The day has finally arrived! We get up and do our three Ss I place the luggage outside the door! I am worried that they will not be picked up! I dont see anyone else on our floor that is going! And after everything I went thru just to get my formalwear! But with everything Disney, Its AOK!
We head out into the Airport to catch quick breaky and to meet up with pjpoohbear and her mother! We head back to the Hyatt, they to catch the bus at the arrival level! I once again ask to make sure that the luggage will be picked up! Hey, this could be my last cruise and I was over zealous!
We are shown where to go get signed up and given a character as to which bus we were to board! We head into a theatre where Bugs Life is showing. We have approx. 45 mins till boarding! An eternity! We get our docs in order and placed inside the Blue Envelope! Finally they call our Character! We are herded downstairs to the waiting buses! The ride goes quickly! Its the waiting at the terminal that kills you!
We find some fellow Disers and say our Hellos Take a few pics. And Wait! And Wait! And Wait!
Its time! The line goes quickly but still feels like an eternity! We have our embarkation pic taken with Minybear, hoping this year they will not loose it! We head to get Palo reservations. We get Dinner, Brunch but no luck with the Tea! Im second on the waiting list, but thats no help! Even though we are only allowed one Dinner reservation, I sorta cheated since the first was under Minybear. I ran back and made my own for Semi-Formal Night at 9:00! Hey if the Chocolate Soufflé is as good as they say I would want to have another due to that I missed out last year!
We head to Parrot Cay for lunch; grab a quick bite and then notice that it is that time! Our stateroom will be ready and waiting for us! We head to our room and there on the door, is a lovely sign welcoming us to our home for the next seven days! Thanks pjpoohbear! Very thoughtful of you to go to all that trouble!
I give DD the honours of opening the cabin door. The first thing she does, run into the bathroom! Takes a Deep breath, and Proclaims Hey Mom, It does not STINK! IT DOES NOT STINK! The biggest smile on that girls face since her biggest fear was that smell! Well thats half the battle! Now to keep her away from the Tube Steaks and keep her on bonine when necessary! No luggage yet but thats ok, I wont start stressing until closer to 5:00! We take a tour around, get her signed up for the club and go back to see if the luggage arrived! Ok, Ok, Im stressing! But low and behold, there it was! I quickly unpack the formalwear since it has been packed away for almost 2 days! Luckily it was in perfect order! No unnecessary ironing needed! Unpacked everything else, placed the suitcases under the bed and went to enjoy the Sailaway party! For some reason DD did not want to enjoy, so I left and went to enjoy my verandah! Waved Bye Bye to everybody from there! It felt like I was leaving any and all my stress behind! DD finally felt like she would join, but not of course until she got lost on the ship and could not find her way! Thanks again Penny, I may have lost her forever if it was not for your sign!LOL
DD blows some bubbles off the verandah and all is right with the world! We change for dinner. Our rotation is LAP. Luckily it is casual so DD is ok in her Loungewear! We are eating with Cindy and Ken for the week so we knew our tablemates! We are seated and introduced to our servers! Girish and Denevel! Girish made the mistake of telling us that Denevel looked like Will Smith, which he did, but from this point onward, I would call him Will Smith!
Dinner is uneventful except for one little glitch! Minybear orders an Iced Cappuccino, DD wants one too! I usually dont let her have one but hey, she did show up for dinner! Simon is our head server, and he comes over and asks Minybear if she is over 21? I am too busy enjoy my meal to really pay any attention to what is happening! Next thing I know Simon returns, places a cappuccino in from of Minybear along with a shot of something!?! He then places another cappuccino in front of me but I polite tell him that its DD that wanted the cappuccino. He places it in front of her and slowly starts to place the shot down also! Stunned, I proclaim that DD cant have that! Shes not old enough! Simon is very confused as are the rest of us!LOL As it turns out, an Iced Cappuccino is a bar drink! Cappuccino with a shot of Kahlua! Girish apologizes for the mistake but we all have a good laugh! I said next time she orders an Iced Cappuccino, just take the cappuccino and put it in a glass with ice!

Actually, it reminds me of the time I took my hung over friend out for coffee and he ordered a blueberry tea ... turns out that's a drink too and the last thing that he wanted!
