As MAGICinMYHEART posted, the check out is right outside the front doors. We used Magical Express last trip and it was wonderful. It took us all of 3 minutes to check out!

horselover - Have a magical vacation!

We are considering staying our 1st time at any Disney World Resort next June. We are going to book the Villas a Wilderness Lodge. We may be brining my son's Power Wheel chair. Will the Magical Express be able to fit his Power Wheel Chair on the bus or will we need to rent a special van and drive our selves from the airport to the resort?

I agree with the OP I wouldn't count on getting an upgrade; if you really want a particular view you would be better off to pay for it and then you will be sure that you will have what you want.

We are arriving at WL on the 11th and have a question. My DS wants to know if they have an icee machine to refill the mug we plan to purchase. :confused3 This will be our first time at WL . We usually stay at POP (gotta love the bounceback offers!)

Thanks

Can anyone tell me what the fridge size is? As we are staying and would like grocery delivered but don't know what the fridge size is?

There is a soda machine at Roaring Forks for you to refills the mugs.

Here are some photos of the fridge:

I'm feeling a little nostalgic. Last year at this time I was finding out all I could about WL and getting ready for our first stay there. I went back and looked at the pictures and I'm going to miss sitting on the balcony while the inner courtyard is quiet and the lake is still. I'm also going to miss taking the boat to the MK. It is so funny, last year i was stressing about whether or not I would like WL because I wanted to stay at AKL. This year, we are staying at AKL and I'm thinking about WL. If anyone has any doubts about WL, take it from me, it is a beautiful, peaceful resort. It is just the right size and cozy, cozy, cozy. :cloud9: (I still can't figure out my photobucket account to post the pictures). I set up the account but can't figure out how to get the pictures from the Kodak easy share to photobucket. (anyone??)

I am in the same boat you were last year. I am gathering all of the info I can about WL and getting ready for our first stay there. I am also worried about how I will feel about WL after being so in love with AKL first.:lmao: What a silly thing to worry about...but it is good to hear that someone else was hit by the same worries and really had fun at WL. Beautiful, peaceful, cozy...those sound great to me!!:thumbsup2 Anyway, thanks for sharing!!

I'm excited. Our first WDW trip is in November - and we were booked for the WL standard room view. Yesterday I got a pin # via email. There were no standard rooms available with the discount, but we were able to be moved to a courtyard view for less than we originally booked the standard view! :) I had looked at the maps on the beginning of this thread to get an idea where the standard rooms were - now I get to come back and look at the mapping of the courtyard view. :) I know, I'm rambling - but this just added to my magical excitement of our first trip.

 Yah for you !! Courtyards views are great !!

They will be able to accommodate his power chair, but I would let them know when you book your package that you will need a handicap accessible bus. When you check in with magic express at the airport, you may have to wait a few minutes longer for a handicap accessible bus to arrive. The longest we waited was about 30 minutes...but I think that was more because our flight landed at 10:30 PM!

We stayed in a studio last month. I requested an upper floor, lakeside,
non-connecting room. Some of the studios overlook a service area, that is why I requested lakeside.

We ended up with an upper floor lakeside. It was a connecting room, but that was o.k., I got two out of three!

Hope that helps. Have a wonderful trip!!:goodvibes

Thats what I asked for also so I hope everything works out this time.
Thanks for giving me some info ,also what roon nr did you have and do you have a pic from the balcony?
Also must agree with the others that is a beautifil picture.

I just got back from a beach vacation with NO access to a computer! I sort of enjoyed my planning hiatus, but now I'm back and ready to BOOK!

I think, having read just about everything I could get my hands on, that I'm going to book WL for the third week of December 2009 (the week before Christmas week). I'd considered pre-or-post Thanksgiving, but I really want to do the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT and MVMCP at MK.

I like to be close to the heart of things, which in WL's case, seems to be the lobby. These "bear face" rooms of which you speak...do I request "Inner Courtyard View Rooms Off Lobby"?

Do the 1st floor courtyard room patios provide direct access to the pool? By this I mean can you walk from your patio to the pool? Which rooms are closest to the pool?

Do the Villas have BBQs that could be used by the lodge guests?

We have booked a courtyard view room for 6/19/09-6/26/09 and can't wait to go! We would prefer a 1 bdr villa, but there is no availability at this time.

Thank you for this information. I just booked a room at the lodge and let them know about our request for a handicap accessible bus.

We were on the 1st floor in May, and in theory we COULD walk out of our patio to the pool, but there were bushes and landscaping so we decided not to do that because we didn't want to mess that up. We were literally 10 seconds from Roaring Forks, so we just walked out those doors instead.

Yes...request inner courtyard off the lobby. If you put in a request for a "bear face" room they won't know what you're talking about.

Gotcha. Thanks! Eee! I'm excited. I'm still vacillating between WL and Polynesian -- Poly is $500 more, but the ease of transportation is a big plus. WL seems like it would have a great ambience for the holiday season. I know, I know, I can't go wrong either way! :)

Booked a standard view room at AAA rate;:cool1: bought our tickets last week from UCT before the price increase. Now comes the hard part......waiting until next June!

We have a trip coming up in a week and a half!!! I can't believe it's almost time. Anyway, we booked a studio in the villas (that was all that was available under the code) but we were not given an option about views, nor does it say anything about views on the reservation. What should I request?
