Another update on our room...when we first got in, I did a bedbug check. Saw some small, ant-like bug on the bottom boxspring. It wasn't a bedbug, though. Being on the ground floor, we also saw a lizard on the patio. However, while in the bathrrom I noticed a line of the tiny bugs crawling along the bathroom doorway into a crack that goes into the foundation. Clearly, these bugs live in the ground. They still don't appear to be bedbugs, but I'm not sure whether to be worried. It kind of makes me uncomfortable, but now we've already unpacked, so it would take a lot to re-pack or move. Sigh. I want to be happy because we're so close to the pool, boats, laundry, and Roaring Forks. Maybe I'm being silly to worry...we're from California so we wouldn't know if these are normal in Florida.

I'm not a bedbug expert either but I did read about ways to prevent bedbugs from getting to your house and all that. They said to store your bags in the bathroom because bedbugs don't migrate to the bathroom. So I doubt the bugs in the bathroom are bedbugs. If you are concerned though, definitely let the front desk know!

hey lilmape we will be there the weekend of the 4,5,6 too and also have a courtyard view room booked!! ill keep an eye out for the lime green mickey heads

We will be there then too... look for the two red and black head to toe pirate kids returning to the resort after MK closes on the 4th (my son's birthday)! lol

We will be there from the 30th through the 6th!!! Will keep an eye out for the limeg mickey heads too! ;)

I am by far no expert, but I would think ....if you pulled down the sheet and looked under the pillow and saw no "dirt" on the bed, then you are fine in regards to bedbugs. Again, not an expert, but I think Florida is just full of critters and that is probably all your seeing in the bathroom. I would call mousekeeping... but I wouldn't worry or change rooms. Try and have a good vacation. :goodvibes

Thanks for the replies. We slept fine last night, no bites or anything. Whatever these are, they seem to be harmless. I am feeling better about the room now. I think I just needed some rest.

We leave today after I get home from work. SOOOOO excited. One night at Pop and then to WL CL for the rest of the trip. This .... will be a VERY long day !!

Yeah! Same with our first trip in 2006! If it was near the top floor and facing contemporary! Nearly towards the end of the hallway! With the bar a few flights down the stairways! ;) I'd say it's a great room!

We could see the highest fireworks, it was awesome!

so i know about decorating your room door with green mickeys but what does everyone wear at the parks to signal your a DISer

Hello, I've been reading through part of this thread and doing some research on WL. We have just booked our first stay at a deluxe resort thanks to a pin offer and we chose WL from 11/28 - 12/3. It looks like a beautiful resort and I can't wait to finally get a chance to stay there.

I forgot we took some pictures while visiting WL during our trip last month. In the interest of not copying and pasting a ton of URLs, I threw together some little collages...
